I stutter too. I remember the time I went for a job interview. I wrote on a paper that I stuttered and that I'll love to write my answers on a paper. The interviewer smiled and said I should just talk to her and gist with her. I did but I still stuttered . I got the job but I left after I was overworked and couldn't cope with constant headaches everyday. No man is perfect. With the stuttering sef I was elected class governor in the university without me campaigning cheesy grin I sha know it'll go soon. I believe that smiley

Please if I may ask, what is the yellow card?

Good evening...

The yellow card is a certificate of vaccination to show that travelers have been immunized against yellow fever.

Apparently we DO NOT need to to travel...

Genyc:
1. You do not need any yellow card except the small one that will be given to you at the check in counter of your airline FREE of charge to fill in your info.
Pls ignore any Agbero trying to sell you any card and don’t believe any propaganda they may come with.
2. Your plan is okay

Okay...Thank you @Genyc

I appreciate you

Hello Toluchenko,

Both yellow card and presenting the financial record at the POE is not mandatory. You can verbally have a constructive discussion in this regard "if" asked. Not all CBSA officers will ask for the financial record or fees receipt payment.

However, if they are available, go with it either in printed or digital copies.

Best of Luck

Thank you so much @JustMellow

My brother’s Landing gist
His program starts Sept 7th
He traveled Aug 2nd (4 weeks and 5days)

He Got to MMA, they asked him for:
Enrolment letter
Acceptance letter
Covid test
Authorization letter
ArriveCan receipt
3 days Hotel reservation
Which he provided.
The airline staff (Turkish airlines) verified the documents, and said he was okay to board.

He arrived Toronto airport; officer asked for his acceptance letter and letter of introduction.
And issued him study permit. He spent over 2hours at immigration because there was a long queue (so be prepared)
After immigration, he went to claim his baggage.
After that, he went to do covid test, spent over an hour lol.
I was outside waiting for him though.
When he came out, I drove him to the hotel for quarantine; made him some food to sustain him for the 3 days, because I’m pretty sure he won’t like them oyibo meals as a first timer Lol.
Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.
Wishing everyone coming this fall Safe travels.

Good morning...Please what's this Authorization Letter?? Is it a compulsory doc to have??

If yes, Can you explain where/how one can get it??

So I arrived at MMA, all those serious looking bag boys carried my luggage, I think say them be better people until they told me I needed to buy yellow card 6 thousand naira that without the yellow card, I won’t be allowed to board or immigration will charge me 200 dollar, well I quickly made it clear to them that I came to the airport with no money atall not even dollar….I nor get money to waste.

Flight was by 11pm check-in started by 4PM they asked for my
Enrolment letter
Acceptance letter
School fees receipt

The airline staff (KLM) verified the documents, Omo one fyn woman..I nor just understand just squeeze face Dey say 3 weeks to resumption…Omo I being 1 faint …after snapping those documents I mentioned earlier, I was asked to bring my covid test result…then I realize I’m good to go

If you are traveling..buy snacks or anything put for your bag….hunger almost kill me.

So when I arrived Toronto airport; officer asked me if I have been accepted by the school I’m going to, I said yes, and he said if I have proof I told him yes and should him my acceptance letter.
He was observing the letter then I gave him my letter of introduction without him asking grin
Then he ask if I have paid my fee .. I told him yes and gave him my receipt…he observe the receipt and he said …oboy your admission letter say 15k then why did you pay 3k …..I just smile and said ….we are allowed to pay per the courses you are offering and I will be offering only 3 courses that’s why I paid 3k …..he just node head
So I told him I have my covid result…he asked me to bring it.
Then he started asking me some questions, Omo …I think the officer was looking at my file and asking me questions from there. I realize that when he called the name of my sponsor grin. And asked about his job. I told him every every.
So he ask if I have proof of funds….I told him my sponsor refused to give me grin (I forget to carry o)
Then final question..what will you be doing till your school resume….I told him quarantine grin
So he printed my study permit Nd SiN stuf …..Nd started advising me that I can work for 20 hours then holiday time, I can work for 40 hours….and I can go back to Nigeria for visiting (I just shake my head for my mind).
So that’s all….then I was walking down to the next part I started hearing…hello sir, hello sir , hello sir…..I didn’t bother looking back ….I nor believe say immigration officer go Dey call me sir….I finally looked back, it was d officer and he gave me one of my print out that I forgot with him grin……

So I went to claim my baggage.
After that, I went to do covid test, then after that …went to one joint to wait for my shuttle to my hotel. Nice hotel nice view, Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.
Wishing everyone coming this fall Safe travels.

I use style like their food sha.

Good evening Bro

Pls I have two questions;

1) This yellow card parole. The stuff no compulsory abi??

2) For Proof of Funds, can I show the Border guys my sponsor's statement of account? Or must the funds be in my account?? I plan to tell them that the reason why the funds is still in my Sponsor's account is that my sponsor is waiting for me to open a Canadian account so he could transfer the funds into it.

Thanks.

Please anyone that has the answer(s) to the question(s) can reply abeg

If you're ever going to quarantine, it has to be in school. UoR made it compulsory, so book with hospitality service to pay on arrival, if need be. Safe journey down here.. Cheers

Hello everyone. Please I need some clarifications on this quarantine parole.

I have been able to link up with some family friends that stay around my school (in Saskatchewan), so I plan to stay with them for some weeks till I settle fully and find my apartment.

Now, I have been fully vaccinated and I recently heard that fully vaccinated individuals will still have to show their quarantine plans in case they are not exempted (from quarantine) by the officials at the Point of Entry.

My questions;

1) Will my Family friends' house be a suitable place for quarantine?

2) If No to (1), what if I get a quarantine apartment and I eventually get exempted from quarantine at the Point of Entry. Hope getting a refund would not be difficult?

3) Please, can someone put me through the process of getting an apartment for the 14 days quarantine.

Thank you..

I recently got my application for study visa approved (Fall 2021; University of Regina, Saskatchewan). I have been able to link up with family friends that stay around my school, so I plan to stay with them for some months till I settle fully and find my apartment.

My people...good evening...

Mehn NSE has put things on hold o...I'm waiting till the one-month window closes shaar (Dec. 25)

So, I have a question and I'll appreciate your opinions.

My lectures are starting January 11. Considering the little time left and the stage my Visa application is in, I will most likely have to opt for online classes (that is, observe the winter semester remotely), then when the Visa drops I'll continue the online classes in Canada for the first semester.

Now, remember the AIP (September) season where people were given AIPs due to the international flight restrictions. The AIP was used to begin online classes. Now that there are no flight restrictions and AIPs are not being issued again, what will I have to tender to begin the Winter semester remotely??

Please I need your opinions.

ROOM AND BOARD means your Living Expenses and it should be filled as 10,000KCAD. Whilst, OTHERS are your miscellaneous expenses and flight itinerary. I advice prospective applicants to fill the OTHERS with 3KCAD or 4KCAD.

I hope this information helps.

It will end in praise

Amen!

Alright thanks brother.

Funds available for your stay, is the amount that will be readily available and accessible by you during the course of your studies. Following this, you can't use the worth of a landed property in Nigeria or the entire funds in your Sponsor's account for this purpose. It is totally irrational for a sponsor to give you the whole money in his/her account for your abroad education.

It will end in praise.

Amen...thanks Frank

Another question pls...

On the IMM form; Room and Board = Living Expense abii??

If yes, then Pls what does the OTHERS box cover ??

Hello my people. Good afternoon

Pls I have a question...

I am seeing some instances here where the sponsor transfers the funds into the applicants account.

Is it compulsory for my sponsor (elder brother) to transfer the funds into my account? Can't I just present the Statement of account of my sponsor in my applications?

I am going for Chemical Engineering (MSc). Would me putting something like "the oil industry of Nigeria is not fully developed at the moment and I would love to use the knowledge acquired to solve the problems" be enough as home ties??
