Hello Sir.

Thank you so much for your response.

The FGN bond option sounds cool and secured to me. I will give it a thought.

Since it's a lump sum investment, perhaps I would save up like 2-3 months equivalent and close my eyes to try it out.

Thank you.

One of the best ways to invest your money in Nigeria is to buy real estate or land from a reputable company that offers installment payment options. This way, you can avoid the low returns since most commercial banks loan out these money for enterprises for returns. Real estate market prices are not regulated in Nigeria and can increase significantly in a short period of time, especially if you buy from a company that has a good track record and a valid title, preferably a Certificate of Occupancy (COC).

Yeah,

April 1, 2022 - £2k
April 7, 2022 - £2k
April 7, 2023 - £2k

From April 1, 2022 to April 7, 2023 is less than 13 months. That's how marketers do Maths cheesy

I agree to the marketer part . 🌞🌞

If you're below 40, sha open a LISA with at least £1. In 13 months, a couple can get free £6k from the UK Govt for their house deposit, it's the biggest awoof

Is that 4k pounds or 6k pounds ?

4k & 4k = 2k bonus x 2 ( 4k total )

Can I port from monzo to natwest?
I have got only one bank account and which is monzo
Please advise

I wouldn’t advice porting your main account as it would affect your CS so bad . Why not walk down the street , Create a bank account with any Main Street.

Most Main Street banks allows creating additional current account , Just port the new current account living you main account on their service .

Wetin go remain.......🤣😜

Making more money I guess 🥹🥹.
I was lucky enough to max out my LISA. Got started in January.

I’m sure with enough time one could put more to Stocks & shares ISA . Doing the math one just need to put aside 1667/mo on average to meet up.

shocked

Do I need to do anything apart from depositing the £1,250?

Just to make it clear that you don’t have to deposit the 1250 at a once. You can split it how you want say 400.400.250 and move the money around in your accounts.

It’s just need to sum up minimum 1250 £ within 60 days of creating the account.

Got mine under 7 business days with message like:

“ Thanks for switching to NatWest. Great news, your £200 is in your account. For more information on how to make the most of your account why not visit our helpful page https://www.natwest.com/existing

Terms of engagement differs from each bank switch and there are chances of temporary pull back in your credit score .

Thanks

Trying to make the switch from Lloyds bank now smiley

Its kind of confusing as its telling me to create a new account online

Is that the case?

Yes they would give a new bank account number reserved for you. Make sure you click you”re switching.

They would request for your old bank details( sort code / Account number ) . If you have any Main Street bank, most allow current more current accounts, Create a new one and request for card . I use Halifax and just switched my second account to NatWest .

There is RBC too , They all belong to the same group but they pay anyways.

Yes bro, my expenses for my first one month in the UK was funded by Revolut referral bonus and crypto introduction bonus. After then I have been enjoying the switching bonus with my wife 😂

One advise is to learn to perfect your switch. Make sure you have a main account that you don’t switch while have about two to three accounts that you can switch. Ire oo 😊

Maim street banks allows creating a second Current account. It would be smart to use that for switch instead of using main current account.

Very easy, type switch to Natwest on Google, you will be directed to their website to open an account which before you finish with documentation, you will be ask to put in the bank you are switching from, sort code and some details. So you will need to transfer 1,250£ into the account and open the bank App “, Full switch takes about 10 working days but before then you can use the account. They will move every info to your Natwest from you previous account on or before the 10th day. Within five days after that, you get your 200£ gidigba 😁

I followed this and the 200. I think bank switch is one easy side hustle money to make in here .

You don't have to. Salary and other regular inflow will automatically be redirected to the new account.

Is there no limited duration to this ?

Can a dependant apply for Global Talent Visa? 😌

PS: The dependent is a Software Engineer and already have a Job with sufficient salary. 🇬🇧

Is he already in the UK ? He can explore the Start up visa option too. Also send him a reminder that gpt4 is at work and should level up his coding game or get made redundant . It’s happening already for low-end coders

@ oga Seun, please update or upgrade Nairaland to allow us upload videos directly here without having to put link to youtube.

Reasons not to .

- Takes more bandwidth
- Slows the website down.
- Not cost effective .
- Slow Nigeria upload speed which could leads to frustration.

1000pounds ohh nice but everything goes to buying a house right? You can’t spend it as I heard

That’s correct.
It’s need to go to your house as a first time home buyer or pay 25% fine on penalty .

what does this mean

With LISA you get 25% of money deposited at every Tax year which usually April 6th.

With maximum allowed deposit for LISA been 4000 pounds you would get extra 1000 pounds if maxed out before Tax year.
