Do you have a specific problem you will like a solution to or do you have a problem with the platform as a whole?

If your application is a small one you will find Access to be a good platform but note the following:
. Access, like most desktop databases has a limiting size of about 100mb per database. This will be a problem if your database is growing.
. Anyone knowing the whereabout of your database can easily go into it directly and manipulate values. This could compromise your data integrity.

Every computer is meant to have a unique ID in the registry so that one may query it for purposes such as generation of authentication codes to gaurd against piracy and stuff. Pleeeeeeeeeez where in the registry can I find this?

Yes it very possible using J2ME. I have'nt done it my self but I came across a Yabatech student who had done it last year at the YABA-Tech computer week. Stop by their campus if its that important. Exco's in the department should be able to locate him for you.
