Hi C++ Coders, Well for those of you who have tried building aplications that have to send automaticaly generated mail using the Mailing API (MAPI) you must have definitely come across the Simple MAPI. A very simole simple API and so much fun to use in C++, VB, and so on. But the API is quite limited in its capability. I recently tried developing a bulk-mailing application and of course having exhausted the features of simple MAPI without being able to generate a suitable solution, I turn to Entended MAPI. The problem is . . . there hardly seem to be any worth while documentation on Extended MAPI anywhere. Now lest you acuse me of being lazy, I have ran searches on Yahoo and Google for Extended MAPI for days and I only seem to find more people out there with questions than there are answers to using this cryptic API that seems to be shrouded in Mystry. Most mailing programs of note use Extended MAPI so why is the documentation for this API scarce? Does anyone have any helpful article, book, link or code on this subject? |

I have 4 HDD (Seagate) all over 3 Years old and none has ever crashed or Malfunctioned in any way. The only HDD crash I've experienced was when I moved the HDD of my former Laptop into an external USB adaptor casing. Sometimes the crash of the external disk might actualy be due to problems from the external adapters and not from the drive itself. Another common cause of HDD crashes have to do with the fact that peope tend to transfer large files to-and-fro the HDD and never bother to periodicaly defragment the drives or run any disk performance programs on the drives. On the part of the secretaries: One aspect to consider is that women are ussualy attracted to power. In an office setting the boss is the "alpha-male" (in terms of power). So the secretary could easily get attracted. The issue of job security is also an issue. Some secretaries might think that sleeping with their bosses make them less prone to sack and it will likely generate some extra income. on the part of the randy boss: Men like to conquer. A boss did not become a boss by suppressing this instinct. However some are so bent on conquering that they begging to map their female employees into the territories to be conquered (where they should be thinking of bussiness conquest). I've heard some men justify themselves by saying "Why won't I sleep with my female employees when I pay their salaries. They are part of my investments and I am simply reaping the dividends". Whatever the reasons, the trend is wrong and should realy be discouraged. In some developed countries, if a boss sleeps with a subordinate (even consentualy), he/she could still get sued for sexual harrasment (because it is reasoned that the subordinate is naturaly under presure to please their bosses and could not easily refuse). I think if the adequate legislation was put in place, it might help to drasticaly reduce the occurence. |

Mexico. . . hmmm. Back here in Nigeria we have pentecostal pastors who burn church members with petrol, who sleep with their female members at random, who perpetuate all kinds of fraud, who consult occultic shrine to get charms to boost their church memberships etc. Once upon a time it was a rave for protestant pastors in Nigeria to preach messages like: "I used to be second in command to the devil before I got born again". I must have heard close to a hundred different pastors preach that message. How many second in commands did the devil have to pick from Nigeria, especialy since they keep stabbing him in the back (abi na Nigeria evil pass?). princezza:No offense to pentecostals or fellow Nigerians. |

For me being single has thus far been good for my fledging startups. It frees my mind from too much worries when ever I have to take a very risky biz descision because my potential losses are mine alone. I don't have to worry about mouths to feed, etc. I am willing to stake alot to achieve my goals and when my investments pay off it ussual is worth it. If I was married I'd probably have to thread safely every step of the way and that would realy be a drag for me. |

Well for one to answer the question I guess we must first define concisely what it means to be born again. If by being born again you mean for a person to go for an alter call after a moving sermon, renounce his sins and openly declare an acceptance of Christ, note down the date, then go around engaging in activities that are downright sinfull and hypocritical at best. Return to church every now again anf lift up "holy hands" in acord with other such people, speaking Christianese, etc, who needs it?! Being born again is not about that one ceremony you did the day you "accepted Christ" it is your concious everyday walk with Christ. It's of no use if you are "born-again" and by your everyday thoughts and action you are dead to Christ. Your spiritual circumcision will simply be made uncircumcision. We don't do that routine where a pastor makes altar calls to the pulpit and pray for people and declare them born again. A Catholic and any Christian, is only born again based on your personal purpose to walk daily with Christ and raise his standards in the things you do. Will any one realy be a Christian otherwise? |

@liteman, NIce effort. You will realise by now that to teach something as complex as autocad on a forum will require a lot of forward planning on your part. Dont just try to post on the fly. Work out a detailed tutorial and get as many screen shots as possible, to help shed light on your write up ( a pix is woth a thousand word). Also do some sample drawings to go along with each lesson and where nescesary, upload these files along with the post so that the viewers can see and also download the files. I'll wil sugest you work towards completion of a small drawing project at some point (say - design of a Single room cabin). This will help to give the viewers a sense of direction since they have a more wholistic view of where that particular tutorial is headed. etc. You will realy need to plan a very good sylabus to make it work. Good luck with your tutorial and may God add to you as you add to others. |

I use a Dell inspiron laptop with an inbuilt "Conexant HDA D110 MDCV.92" modem. I currently browse using a 3G Nokia set provided by Multilinks.Is there anyway I can configure my system to browse on the Multilinks Network using the inbuilt Modem in stead of the Nokia set? |

Have you heard of "Visual J++"? It's a part of visual studio. There are many languages in visual studio so is your problem with the visual studio development environment or is it with the language you used in there? |

We Catholics have stated our position time and time again and those who choose to accept do so and those who do not criticise. We need to remember that every thing about Christianity is based on the faith and faith is not based on other peoples interpretations of your actions. The man who eats meat offered to idols and belives it tarnishes him not remains untarnished by it. If another man eats meat the same meat when he belife's otherwise then to him it is sin. When you read most of the anti-catholic post, you find poeple making sweeping assumptions about the Catholic Church that leaves you wondering at the level of their ignorance about Catholics. The adherants of the faith are not ignorant of the bible and are not too stupid to interprete it so when a Catholic, having read the bible and understood its content still afirms his faith then the least the non-catholic can do is leave him be. Pentecostals hide under the garment of "Pentecostal" to try to act as-if-na-dem-holy-pass. But the blatant disregard for Christian tenents that emenate from that fold more than speaks for it's self. No body can say the Pentecostal Fellowship is pure. It stinks to the depth of hell and it is riddled with all kinds of occultic practices, whoremongering, avarice, money-grabbing-doctrines, power-drunk elders, charlatants, thieves, anti-christ etc. If any one claims otherwise, then the person is either a liar or simply ignorant. Even the bible says so (about the Christian fold). All of Christianity has been under assault right from the days of the appostles. Nothing is going on now that did not happen then. Christ fore-told it all. So rather than sit back like arm-chair-arch-angels to condemn and critisise the Catholics, every man should take heed and stand firm, with faith and holiness, and gaurd against falling. When you begin to point at your brothers and sisters and condem them (like you are in possesion of the book of life and know who's name is written there) then look back at yourself and you will how much you have fallen from your last marker. I read a book by CS Lewis over a decade ago - "A Toast to ScrewTape" (or is it ScrewTape Letters). He tried to capture in his writting, a conference of demons strategising how to bring down the Church; Realising that the age old methods of leading them into blatant sin doesn't work as it should since they where "too aware", the devised a more subtle and more potent method - stir up controversy among them. Let them attack themselves and bring down the roof of their divide house on their head. That seems to be the on going trend. When that day comes, I firmly belive Christ wont say "All Catholics to the left , pentecostals to the right and others gather behind". It will be personal judgment for every individual. While we wait for that day maybe the best policy is to continue flaming each other until there is nothing left but a well done crips. Let the Jackals feast on the remains. Christians should unite in Christ or stand alone in Christ. Be in Christ Sha. |

Out sourceing is a beauty especialy if the budget for the project is high enough to cover all the expenses. In Nigeria however, most web-design contracts 90% or more, might fall short of #50,000.00 so what use will outsourcing be when you have to work with a meager budget? While outsourcing saves time and effort, and encourages specialisation, you should not forget that most big budget jobs are not just projects where you chop-clean mouth-waka go. You will need to maintain the sites/software and where nescessary, redesign to accomodate new bussiness expansion or paradigm as the client wishes. So what happens when your original designers are no longer available to overhaul the project and new hand you bring in find the codes of the previous guys a little to cryptic to work with? Will you have to start afresh? There are two sides to everything. |

It will eventualy boil down to a matter of preference and how well you master them but some good and popular ones are Phot Editing = Adobe Photoshop/Macromedia Fireworks/Corel Draw Photo DVD Creation With Audio = Ulead Photo Studio/Nero 7/ and most video editors have the facilities built in Graphic Design For Adverts = Any good graphics/photo editor like the ones mentioned above. |

astronp7:Quite true. 1. This is how you can get it done in Corel Draw: Import the image into your drawing area - In the import dialog box, under "Sort Type" choose Vector. Then import. This will import the image as a vector art . 2. Resize the picture to the size you desire. You will notice that it pixellates and become unclear, don't worry just yet . . . 3. On the bitmap menu, click on "convert to bitmap" and in the convert to bitmap dialog box set the resolution to atleast 300dpi and choose ok. Your picture should be clear now. I tried uploading samples but the files are larger than the max allowed upload. |

Guns wont solve it. Theoreticaly: It Christians are allowed to carry arms, muslims will also be allowed the same. now So far, when all these massacre occur, the very weapons available to the muslim hoarde (stones, cudgels, knives, petrol, etc) are available to the christians too; but the level of restraint (or lack of it) shown by the vairous groups determine the scope/result of the horror. Adding guns to the the mix only makes an already difficult-to-manage scenerio impossible-to-manage. Better education and enlightment will do more to quell this riots than guns would. I read that during the Bauchi riots, some Christians actualy banded together to help prevent a mosque from getting burnt down. Imagine if our muslim brothers show the same gesture to their christian compatriots. Lets show more Love. That is the greatest power available to humans. |

There are many third party softwares that will do this for you (be carefull not to mis-use them though). Another good way is to put your sensitive documents in your "My Documents" folder and create a separate profile for your guests. The guests will not be able to access any files in the "My Documents" Folder of your profile. |

Slapping your monitor might work. It worked fopr me in the past. It possible your color guns are mis-firing or Your line transfomer might be degrading. Why not just get a better tested tokunboh one that will work fine (if you can't afford a new one). The cost of repairs might be almost close to getting another one anyway. |
