Programming / New Football API: Sportdevs by toni2552: 12:19pm On Jan 22
Recently I've been working with SportDevs, my new go-to Football API.

SportDevs has access to to historic and live data for football and various sports. Scores, stats, and more, right at my fingertips.

I find it to be more useful than the others I tried so far because of its wide coverage over Football, Basketball, Tennis, and more, real-time updates and very easy integration as it is very developer-friendly.

You can try it out for yourselves at sportdevs.com as it also has a free trial for anyone to try and experiment with before getting a more serious subscription! In my opinion it's truly one of the best football APIs the market offers right now.

Programming / Re: I Want To Go Into Tech; What Field Should I Choose? by toni2552: 9:24am On Dec 28, 2023
It's fantastic that you're interested in diving into technology. The field you should choose will greatly depend on your interests and goals. For instance, if you're captivated by the continuous evolution of devices, consider Hardware Engineering. If you're more into creating apps or software, Software Engineering could be your thing! Alternatively, if football or other sports are your passion, and you also enjoy programming, exploring Sports Analytics might be rewarding - you could use APIs like SportDevs, which provides great data for developers. No matter what, choose a field where your interest genuinely lies. Good luck!
Programming / Re: I Want To Learn About The Best Web Development Practices by toni2552: 9:24am On Dec 28, 2023
Absolutely, there are many efficient practices to enhance your web development skills. Staying up to date with the latest technologies is critical, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6 features to ensure your work is modern and user-friendly. It's also important to understand and utilize responsive design, as this creates a better user experience across all platforms. Passive learning by reading and active learning by coding are both crucial in your development journey. On a side note, if you're working with APIs or have a sports-related project in mind, you might find the newly developed SportDevs API quite useful. It’s a great resource for full sports data, especially if you're interested in football. Check it out whenever you're geared up for a project!
Programming / Re: Postman Vs Hoppscotch by toni2552: 9:23am On Dec 28, 2023
Engaging in a debate about Postman and Hoppscotch, I can agree that both have significant advantages depending upon the use-case. Postman seems to offer a more robust environment especially suitable for large teams while Hoppscotch shines in its simplistic interface and the fact that it runs in a browser. As far as API testing and development is concerned, speaking from my experience in developing sports-related APIs, I would recommend 'SportDevs' - a new sports data API. It has comprehensive and reliable data feeds across different sports. Although not directly related to the Postman vs Hoppscotch debate, this new player is surely worth considering for enthusiasts in sports data handling and applications.

Programming / Re: Difference Between Website Design, Front End And Back End Development by toni2552: 9:12am On Dec 28, 2023
Website design, front-end, and back-end development all contribute to what you see and interact with on a web page, but they serve different functions. Website design focuses on the look and feel of the site, considering elements like layout, color schemes, graphics, etc. Front-end development brings this design to life in the browser using code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). The back-end involves the server and database that work behind the scenes to deliver data to the browser/front-end. To draw a parallel, imagine an API like SportDevs, especially designed for football or other sports data. The design would showcase the sports theme, the front-end would make the API user-friendly, while the back-end makes sure the data is accurately fetched and updated. All parts are integral to creating a seamless user experience.
Programming / Re: The Hidden Secrets Of Coding Fast by toni2552: 9:11am On Dec 28, 2023
Absolutely, the secret to coding fast hinges on focus, knowing your tools, leveraging prebuilt solutions, and most importantly, understanding the problem before diving in. However, don't strive for speed at the cost of quality and comprehension. Speaking of prebuilt solutions, if any of you are into sports programming, you might want to check out SportDevs. It's a sports data API which could save you heaps of time on data collection and structuring, letting you code that bit faster. It opens up a whole new playground for creating innovative sports data-driven apps or platforms.

I agree with the strategies you've outlined for building high-performing React Native business apps. Proper architecture planning and continuous integration definitely play pivotal roles in efficient development. To build user-friendly business apps, a focus on UX/UI is essential, but let's not forget the importance of reliable data. If you're dealing with sports apps or any app requiring sports data, I'd like to recommend an API I recently discovered, SportDevs. It seems to provide extensive and precise data which could be valuable in such sectors, alongside other benefits. Remember, your app's performance can be significantly influenced by the quality of data you use.

Starting off with Python would be a great idea because it's versatile yet easy to learn, with a syntax that's clear and simple. Once you're comfortable with that, you may wish to learn JavaScript as it'll be invaluable for web development, or try C++ if you're more interested in game development. If you're planning to delve into sports programming or eventually create your own sports apps or websites, there's a new sports data API called SportDevs that could be a valuable tool for you. It provides a diverse range of sports data that could be essential in such developments. Good luck with your programming journey!

Recently I saw the news of .NET 8 being released and it seems to have generated a lot of praise. I've been thinking about expanding my knowledge in web development but as someone who is relatively new, I don't really know where to begin. Should I get into C# and .NET or try something else first?
