Please my people, help a starving brother. I have been pleading for help since 2 days now. I'm a student who returned to school last week because of the prospects of exams starting on Monday and also because I was opportuned to enter a free ride. my family isn't bouyant enough and my dad has severe high BP that's why I had to find my way so as not to make him to start thinking about where to get money to give me. I haven't eaten a decent food since I got back and am starving.

my point is... the metric for measuring poverty rate is very wrong. Different countries have different cost of living and different purchasing power parity (ppp).

So, as an example... if a nigerian can buy 2 beers everyday at 250naira each (500naira or $1.3) and a ghanain can buy the same at 8cedis each (16cedis or $3.2), the nigerian is automatically living below extreme poverty while the ghanaian is living above poverty.No matter the metrix you use, the data shows that more Nigerians are earning less day by day aND as a nation, our competitiveness on a global stage is getting weak.
As Nigerians we can either do any of these two things
1, Try to prove the survey wrong and claim things are getting better.
2, make the important changes and hold our leaders accountable
