myboy2111:This gentleman is missing the whole point... A big cooperation like Gt bank did all it could to mess up a one man business. The judgement is a victory for all nigerians. Even if gt has a trillion dollars, we cannot and should not act as PR for their fraud and wickedness. Innoson had no one but the law. If we all can be taken care of by our justice system nigeria would be great someday. GT is a total disgrace to big cooperations. |
Exodus 3.14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. Now if you read this to the end you would see that your explanation is not right. "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. I Am in this case is used as a noun. As a name not in tense form. Also is you read previous verses Exodus 3.13And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? Moses wanted to know his name. "What is is name? The answer was a noun... I Am. Simple no twist. |
Janosky:Good of you to finally quote the bible but honestly I stI'll don't get your line of argument. We both agree that Jesus represented his father. The argument is who is Jehovah? I quoted exodus 6.3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. So no need to twist let's follow the text plainly. Who was speaking in this verse? Ans, it was Jehovah. He was speaking to Moses. What was he telling Moses? He was telling Moses that he repented the father but his own name is Jehovah. Now I don't understand your Greek and Hebrew explanation so I won't talk about that scripture... let us check out other scriptures to prove all along in the old testement, it was Jesus Christ speaking.. Who created the world? Isaiah45.11-12.. john1.1,3.. Jesus christ was thar same Lord God or Jehovah of the old testement. Jehovah is the saviour Hosea13.4...luke2.11.. Isaiah 43.14 calls his the redeemer the very same and only redeemer galatians3.13 It is clear that all the prophets in the old testement testified of Jesus Christ. They knew him. He related to them and he revealed his name to them. His name is Jehovah. In Hosea13.14, he promised to redeem men from death same as in 1 corinthians 15.20-22. Again showing that Jesus is the God of the old testement. In Zachariah 12.10 Jehovah prophecies he would be pierced. It came to pass in John 19.34-37 In case you don't know it was Jesus Christ that guided Israel through the wilderness and red Sea Exodus 13.20-22 same as in 1 corinthians 10.1-4 All through the old testement, Christ was present. He was the God the children of Israel related with. He is the Alpha and Omega. Revelation 1.8,11.. He has always been there representing the Father. Now I have quoted all these to show that it was indeed Jesus spoken of in the old testement. Now you were wrong in saying.. Jesus represented Jehovah ,as messenger for his God and Father ( John 20:17. Acts3:13) ** Are you the messenger that you have sent? Jesus is Jehovah he represented his father. His father's name is not Jehovah. Remember that scripture in Exodus aND let it guild you.Exodus 6.3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. It's so plain to understand but by my name Jehovah was I not known... his own name is Jehovah. But because he was representing the Father, he came in the name of the father. |
Agriculture Industry Services 2017 20.85% 22.32% 55.8% 2016 20.98% 18.17% 59.79% 2015 20.63% 20.16% 58.12% 2014 19.99% 24.64% 54.15% 2013 20.76% 25.74% 52.37% 2012 21.79% 26.98% 50.01% 2011 22.03% 28.02% 48.8% 2010 23.52% 24.93% 50% So I read about the Gdp for agriculture yesterday and saw from the comments that most did not understand. It became another political discuss. So here I give a bigger picture |
Janosky:Your example just buttressed my point. Jehovah was representing his Almighty Father. I was thinking you would prove me wrong using the bible. Instead u some Mtn example that further proves my point. The average Nigerian Christian does not know the scripture only believes in what his pastor says. If u need more scriptures to learn more about the topic, let me know |
Prodigytal:In case you don't know, agriculture is still the biggest employer of labour in nigeria. We do not need more farmers. Most of the ones we have already are very poor including cocoa farmers. Ivory Coast is the biggest exporter of cocoa yet most of its farmers are very very poor. Holland has less than 3% of its labour in agriculture yet they have the richest farmers. You most definitely need government if the sector most grow |
Agriculture makes up less than 10% of the gdp of China or india. A decrease in the percentage agriculture contributes to gdp is usually a good thing especially if other areas like services and manufacturing make up a larger chunk of your gdp |
callmeVIBRANT:So funny u left ur number for an argument. Who does that. How much would ur church pay you for this. Lol |
I just noticed this post for the first time. Funny thing I see no comments. It's clear people have no idea who Jesus is. They worship a God they do not know. Nigerian Christian are only interested in dancing and twer king in church. Now to your question.. Jesus christ is the great Jehovah of the old testement. Exodus 6.3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. Christ explains that he acted in the name of his father (God Almighty ) but his own name is Jehovah. Because Jesus was representing his father, he often came in his father's name and not in his name. John5.43-47 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? This further shows that Moses testified about Jesus. Verse 43 remains us that he came in his father's name. So many Christians thinks it was the Almighty relating to Moses when it was actually Jehovah(Jesus Christ) Also in John 8.58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Remember 'I am' in the old testement? Exodus 3.14-15 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. Jesus was the same that related to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He told Moses his name was I Am. In the new testement he reminded the people that he is I Am. So basically the name Jehovah belongs to Jesus Christ. He is the God of the old and new testement. |

Rizstar:Something is wrong with black people |
Aaronsrod:Brother your writeup is clearly racist and borderline terrorism. |
cleary:what's your name and ur number |
Oshin56:You make a strong point but you clearly are not looking at the power of change. 4 years ago we changed Jonathan. Imagine a leader knows that he would always be changed for incompetence. Imagine they know that they would be held accountable every 4 years. That is the beginning of change aND real power to the people |

alhassanyusuf29:Today is sunday... |
Welcome to another sunday, a day where nairaland Christians judge others and condemn. It's always a pleasure to read all the my church is better than yours stuff or the debate on tithe or all the funny doctrines. Please don't disappoint. Lets keep it flowing. We just some funny people deciding who is in the right or wrong. Or who goes to hell... |
Purge your system by going on natural antibiotic for a month... Also watch certain things in your diet during the period. |
We are not slaves to destiny. We are children of a God. He has a plan for us but he does not force it on us. We are allowed to choose. Always have always will |
id911:How would you know? What can you remember? |
Goshen360:ok thanks |
frosbel2:Diversity has blessed the world more than any single religion. |
id911:Our abilities, our weaknesses, our personality, our needs and our talents... Don't be so sure you had no input.. Trust me life did not start here. We made choices to come here |
Remember the story of Job... it's no different from ours. We are all open to the trials of this world. Each in his own capacity. Let us bear and learn and grow from the things we pass through. Mandela was imprisoned for 21 years yet he rose to be one of the greatest humans ever. There are thousands of stories of men who built on bad experiences. |
id911:Because we are different. We all can not gain from the very same routine experience. We did nothis come to this world on the same level of growth. We cannot be tried by the same challenges. Also our time here is bit a dot to our permortal and postmortal life. Our travails here is live a pregnant woman in labour all is forgotten when the baby is born. |
It had happened before in midle aged Europe. It led to wars and blood and poverty. |
No true church does that.. James2:3 |
This is a great and deep question. Earth life is part of our journey to immortality and eternal life. Our life here prepares us for the life after. Also we gain a physical body that resurrects into an immortal body. This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God. It's just a tiny but consiquencial part of our existence |
You are on earth to gain experience to prepare you for the next world. To improve yourself, work on your weakness. On earth you obtain a mortal body that allows you pass through mortality and gain mortal experiences. This mortal body would resurrect into an imortal body. Useful lessons we obtain here are preparing us for the next live.. Lastly our journey did not begin here. Man existed before earth life |
Question; Did Abraham and all the holy prophets before Moses live by the law of Modes or by Grace? |
Globally, church going is on a decrease... The churches are not meeting the needs of its members.. The churches are failing to touch lives in a meaningful way. So one goes empty and return worse... It's really pathetic |
