wisemen045: I feel for you, bro. Sorry to hear about the recent setbacks. Nothing to do but pick yourself up and try again. My handwriting is absolutely terrible, so I never bothered with IELTS; went with TOEFL instead. I could share the simulator I used - but, to be honest, it may not address the weak points you identified (speaking and writing). While the simulator has all 4 sections, it doesn't quite grade your speaking and writing (only reading and listening are graded). It might help with confidence, though. Happy to share, if you still feel its worth it. I'm not sure I know what an "EOR" is - but I'm sure there are people on this thread with enough insight and experience to help you beat it. Good luck as you pick yourself back up. 1 Like |

Mailthaddeus: No one can really say for sure (at least, I can't). Depends a lot on when you applied, your nominated occupation (pro-Rata or not) and the number of 75/80 - pointers ahead of you in the queue. Here's an estimate from Iscah that should provide some clarity: http://www.iscah.com/iscahs-latest-estimates-will-get-189-invitation/ [Happy to take the views of others, in case mine is not totally accurate] |

*Phew* I've just arrived here from Page 0 (sometimes, I've moved page by page; other times, in steps of three). Decided to bring myself up to speed before making my first post here. Chief Bellong (and all the veterans on here: Mamajazz, Bnimz, Catch the wind from Kaduna, Zany, McTowel, all of you), God bless you immensely. This is an amazing thread I should have come across long ago. Better late than never. I saw the 'testimony sheet' a few pages back, and my faith is properly boosted. Good news awaits us all. 3 Likes |

Omooloriredade: Thank you for this inspiring post. There's no better way to encourage one another than sharing such experiences. Big congratulations too. It's still a distant dream for a number of us - but your post makes it clear that miracles still happen - and everyone doesn't have to follow the same route. Guess the whole idea of emigrating is to take one's destiny in their hands. If you don't mind, can you share your nominated occupation and city of residence? |

Hi, Everyone. I've been following in silence for a while. At this point, I'd just like to appreciate the heroes and heroines of this amazing thread: @bellong, @zanyzara, @tyosho, @vinsmuft, @nosula (amongst many others). Clearly, you guys are heavily invested in the Aus system, with your own daily challenges. Yet, you still make out time to share knowledge and guidance. You have no idea how far those 'little' efforts go. Some of you have even opened your doors to absolute strangers. God bless you beyond measure. @DaddyTheFather, thank you for your obvious maturity - and for putting yourself and experience out there. Hopefully, your PR issues get resolved soon - and your family can come over. 5 Likes |
