Eeffy: Someone was telling me , they don't give one way ticket to students only round trip. I don't want POE wahala. Don't get yourself worked up about the bolded statement, I went through the POE wondering if it was the same dreaded POE I see on nl. I think the whole POE thing is overhyped, pretty much the easiest phase if you ask me. |

Roland17: The Celtics have traditionally been a defensive team. As for this current team, intensity! intensity and wing span is the secret. When Brad started building this roster, his focus was on drafting and acquiring players with huge wing span, players who can disrupt passing lanes, intense enough to force turnovers and guard multiple positions because of their wing span.
You take a look at Brown, Tatum whom the Celtics were already going to pick considering J. Jackson blew it (It explains why Brad did not have a problem agreeing with Ainge to trade IT and trade the number 1 overall pick for Tatum), Big AL, D. Theis, Baynes, Ojeleye either have wing span or intensity and sometimes a combination of both. M. Morris fits in easily considering he is intense on defense, particularly the perimeter. There is a reason why I am convinced Brad is a very special coach who is head above many of his peers.
Since Kyrie arrived the TD garden, his defensive stats has a witnessed significant jump. He is ranked 17, last year he was not even top 100. The same goes for Big AL and Morris. It's all about coaching and having players buy into it.
The Celtics are the quintessential example of how to rebuild a franchise without tanking for a decade.
As for your Bumble Bees, I will make up my mind after your game with Brady and the Patriots next week. This dude bleeds green. Dayumn! |

Now I get it; but the guy try sha, at least e sabi plenty NBA players, and he knows the term "franchise" is preferred when referring to basketball clubs in the NBA He's read a lot of BR articles for someone who started following the game few months ago. Vivalabyke no worry your franchise go soon win championship baybeeeeeeeeh |

VivaLaByke: He's in Boston..with Kyrie.
There's literally zero pressure on him...He could be dropping one point per game and no one would give a shït.
Same with Jordan Bell.
I don't rate either of them.
I pity folks like Fox,Markkanen and Dennis SJ.....with their talents wasting on trash ass franchises. The bolded statement has to be one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. No pressure on him? Really? There's no gainsaying the fact that the quality of players around him might make things a tad easier (very debatable), but if he isn't playing hard, he won't even have the chance to be on the floor with those guys. Let him average 1PPG and see if he won't rot on the bench. Tatum has earned his props, and regardless of the team that drafted him, he would still have been a BIGger BALLER than your beloved Lonzo (pun intended) |

VivaLaByke: I never said Lonzo is better than Tatum you liar.(at least not at the moment)
I only said,I'm not going to add Tatum to the list of players currently playing better than Lonzo because of the good conditions he found himself in with the franchise that drafted him.
Stop trying to twist my words. What does this even mean? |

SmooshCHN: Victor Oladipo a career high 47pts. Where was he last season?? They said he was a scrub and we were telling em their stat padding MVP Westbrook doesn't trust his teammates enough.. Everyone's career takes a huge leap once they leave the Thunders. This one pass coincidence. Omo I tire o! The whole thing makes sense now; Harden, KD, Kanter and Dipo all became better players after they left "Mr. Brodie the mvp". With the way Oladipo is playing, he could have a shot at that unanimous MIP no doubt; now contrast that to how PG has fared in OKC so far, it's crazy! |

ProEnergy: hello.
I've sought for advice countless times on this channel with no response from anyone. notwithstanding I commend the good work done here by a lot of people, i mean this thread has helped me design a long term goal for myself prior to which the future seemed bleak.
I dont feel good in my skin as regards the standard of education I've had in nigeria and that is why i swore to go the way of sirRiddy et al ever since i stumbled on this thread. However, i have self-confidence issues as per applying for a masters degree program in the U.S due to the not-too-good grade i had in my 1st degree, 3.05/5.00, more-still i envisage a well funded program which i doubt this profile would get me. to augment for this lapse, i have applied for an m.sc program in nigeria hoping I'd culminate my academic pursuit in the U.S for a Ph.D. Meanwhile, i am a 28yr old graduate of chemical/petrochemical engineering.
I just want to know if this is the best move i can make with the grade i have. Why not prepare very well and ace the GRE and TOEFL, then armed with great test scores, apply for Ms and straight PhD programs in American schools. You can get into very decent programs with good test scores and this your GPA, what you need to do is some research (if you're really about this grad school life, you shouldn't leave this for anybody to do for you). Finally, life, they say always gives you a valid excuse for failure - I'm hoping you won't let this "self-confidence issue" you mentioned be the excuse life presents you as a deterrent for reaching your potential. Keep doing you research bro, you'll get it soon. You can check out msinus, gradcafe, gradbuster and schools' websites for information. |

femi312: Well, No admission contact will tell any student his/her chances of getting admitted in the first place, so his/her reply is expected. My point is, he has some publications and conferences, not a lot of people applying have that. Most don't even have a single publication. Research experience and publications are actually a plus for PhD applications and I am sure you know that. That might actually work in his favor, who knows, like I said he has nothing to lose. He can always rewrite GRE. Well, the bolded is not entirely correct, a grad advisor once sent me this as a mail "You are highly admissible, go ahead with your application" I'm guessing that's him telling me my "chance of getting admitted" |

Eruditor: I would eat my hand if Lebron wins it.
At this rate, James Harden needs to die to not win it. And even if he does (die) it would be given to him post-humously.
Lebron will need to win 70+ games and average 30+ ppg to win another MVP title.
Voter fatigue has set-in for him.
No hating just stating straight fax no printers I'll save this just so I can show you when they hand the plaque to the king by May. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by TooMuchSauce: 10:44am On Dec 03, 2017 |
I feel bad for James Harden, Lebron isn't messing around this season - his 5th MVP season no doubt. In other news, the Cavs just extended their win streak to 11, just thought y'all should know in case you're yet to get the memo |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by TooMuchSauce: 11:38pm On Dec 02, 2017 |
A40: Tell your boy to stop beeching about calls though. He has been solid this year tbh. I have followed Lebron all through his career and a book should be written on how much work he has put in his jumper. He can extend his career by two years at the minimum and make a run for KAJ's record if he keeps at it He did what he had to do bro, the ref is to blame for that one. The amount of work that guy puts into his craft is what makes him special; aside his obviously improved jumper, he's been playing elite D in the regular season for the first time in his career so far. I mean what else can a human being do with the rock that he hasn't! We both know Bron would end his career as No.1 on that scoring list, and top 10 (maybe top 5) all-time assist leaders, now that's a record that would last for a freaking long time! |
