peeps4u: Someone once did something like this from this thread when rider from an estate asked him not to wait for guys speeding from behind.
Let's be careful out there.
A sad video...I feel pity for the driver, the police will deal with him without mercy for killing one of their own I never listen to riders when it comes to taking one way, brt lanes, beating traffic lights or breaking any road law. If the rider is in a hurry, why didn't he/she leave earlier. |

You don't pay into any account(to the best of my knowledge oooh), I once was owing Uber 7k+.... I also met a driver who was owing uber 20k and their were still giving him cash trips |

Felicity0001: The Hon. Com of transport in Lagos had just confirmed that the vehicle tag has been scrabbed by the governor since the HECKNEY permit is there so no need for vehicle tag.
So no more vehicle tag.
But the body badge or what ever it's called is compulsory and the ehailing company should provide one for every of it's drivers. That's a good one. |

Commissioner dey yarn dust, body tag is for double check, they want to know the number of drivers...

Babadee1900: A lot of factors comes to play as to why drivers drop so fast and look exhausted.
We exhaust a lot of brainpower trying to stay focused behind the wheel daily, especially in this crazy Lagos where you not only have to drive for the person ahead of you but as much as two to three cars in front of you, behind you and sideways.
There’s a difference between driving to work and back AND driving round the clock as an e-hailing driver. Your body go hear am if you don’t take out time rest yourself and the tool; car.
Drawing my exit plan already, e remain small My exit plan is already in motion. This Uber/ bolt shouldn't be done for a long stretch. |

My car is just a year now and I've got scratches front and back despite being extremely careful on the road. It extremely hard to drive on Lagos roads without...... My brother I know it's not easy, I'm careful too...but scratches everywhere. Sometime back G wagon just gave me a nudge from the front nah so my car bonnet bend by December 21(the day I picked it up from the man that cleared it) my car would be one year. |

dru23: Me for example I was able to diversify my investment into other things, and I couldn't do it without the help of uber experince.... Uber is not bad business, it is tough no doubt, but nothing good comes easy...
And right from time I encourage drivers, partner etc . You need a passive income or something that brings in daily or weekly cash .. This is what ehailing does ,and also for any investors coming into the business.. Make sure you do ur findings.
And for future investors reading this, don't go and buy 2007 up cars .. You will have your self to blame, monitor your investment and be hands on ... Dont just give your keys out like that without proper investigation of whom you giving out to ....This is a tough business be hands on and also Honda civic 03 to 05 is an ideal car for business. I can't help or safe everybody, every Aboki with his own kettle from now on ...... Thank you sir for this comment |

dru23: Even if you dash the car to the driver, some will always be broke....a lot of people live beyond their means and can't manage money......few years ago when the business was really booming with bonuses etc ..a lot of drivers were making money left and right ... I caution them to put money aside for slow days, some listen and others didnt.. And some drivers were smart enough to get their own car....... ehailing is a good business if you are discpline and smart.. The point is to make your money fast and move on to something else.....
And to those that are still complaining about uber, most of you have your certificate, you can always dust it off and look for job you went to school for .. Enough with the complain, uber and co has provided jobs for so many youths old and young alike. This is something your government has failed you .. Take it up with the government.... Until than I encourage all of you to stop talking and complaining and to start doing.... Well said sir. There is a mentality that most drivers have, I will always make it back" mentality. Exactly, if any driver feel he cant keep up, he should find something else to do. I first did ehailing back in 2018 for 2 months(I was on rental then), I got a job through someone I met while driving. We started something like uber in the east but in the end after one year, we needed more funds from the investors but they declined. Naso company take fold. I'm currently looking for another job. |

dapotemi: Agree baba, make I enter my corner back. I just like the thread tho, been following from day one. Some of us got our MOTIVATION to start driving from here and we still do, albeit occasionally and when there is need to fulfil. That you don't like something and you want to force it in my throat, mbanu. Due to the nature of my job and location, I meet at least 10 drivers every day, they don't even know NL, not to talk of a thread like this, so we need to chill. Don't feel too important. Same here I do engage drivers on the road. Many of them dont even know a thread like this exist |

dapotemi: Attack ke? That one na stock in trade for here nau. Another one says go and drive, pls I drive sir, and its my own car and I also have another one on the platform that I gave out CHEAPLY, read my old post. One is saying they don't want to mislead investor so they won't think there is so much money in ehailing. Do drivers actually care about investor? I can also argue that there alot of driver looking for car to drive, so if you don't want investors to buy cars, how will those driver get vehicles? Abi na only you one dey feed make hunger kill the rest. There is a REASON behind all this don't post earning, if you post earning na insult, TELL US THE REASON? Bros, I think it's high time you leave gentlelife alone. PLS. Any bridge wey u Don cross for life, you don't necessarily need to set it on fire. PLS. Well said my brother. Initially I wanted to give this my car out on rental but my former colleague(he manages about 12 cars on uber/bolt) told me not to try it, that I wont recognize my car after a month, that they will wreck it for me and move on. So far nobody has given a strong reason on why drivers shouldn't post their earnings Is there something that I dont know off I posted my dashboard, so I can get their reaction |

Crvrider: Boss, I beg let this one slide by like say you no see am before this argument go take another 17pages. However i am yet to see any big deal with people posting earnings but some here dey see am like one big thing. Go on Forbes and you'll see the worth of almost anyone you throw a search on whether na gross or net. Like you've rightly said, if they don't like it, waka pass. Exactly my brother, a driver told me one certain time that why they discourage other drivers from posting their dashboard is to make it look less lucrative for newbies, so they are discouraged to join(thereby increasing the number of drivers on the road, more competition) |

You wan de post earnings for public platform in a country like Nigeria? You go learn finally. If you de find motivation, join drivers whatsapp or telegram group, you go see enough.. dapotemi: Drivers always get MAD when they see others posting or showing their dashboard. They always claim what they posted is their gross and not Net, yes we know that but to be honest, you guys made some of believe that is not the only reason . There is something you don't want others to know about this hussle, there is something you want to keep HIDING. If it's about GROSS and NET, it shouldn't be a big deal, if you know the net just do the calculation and give us the net whenever you see dashboard. Insulting people you don't know just because they post their dashboard is the height of it, if you don't like it, some of us love it, it motivate us, and we want to keep seeing it. Am sure a lot of people on this forum wants to see it too, it's a public forum abi. That govt is viewing this thread bla bla bla, that one na mumu talk, you guys here are less than one percent of total uber driver out there and you think govt will rely on info from less than one percent to take decision and form policy, that sound low. IF YOU WANT TO POST DASHBOARD,PLS POST, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, WAKA PASS, IF YOU THINK THE FIGURE IS WRONG (GROSS), PLS GIVE US THE RIGHT (NET) FIGURE, NOBODY SHOULD BE INTIMIDATED. All of us no go always PASS THE SAME DIRECTION FOR THIS HUSSLE. Nobody be FOOL for here. Seeing people's dashboard motivates, when I meet drivers on the road, and they show me their dashboard, It makes me think that I'm lazy. That I can do better. |

deedee44: Face the fact, posting dashboards does more harm than good. Potential investors will think that's what they take home whereas it's around half of what is posted that is actually yours if you drive your own car, way less than that if you're on rentals.
Many people have lost money and their jobs investing in uber hoping to take home 150k weekly based on the false earnings you encourage people to keep posting.
If you have the time to post earnings then make sure you post it everyday, not only when you're lucky to make more than normal, and also have the time to do a breakdown of expenses that came with the earnings and let people know how much you truly made Any investor that didn't do he's due diligence nah OYO him dey. I drive for myself, I'm not on rental, so I know my take home |

If they want to capture bolt/uber sales, they deploy hackers to attack the system.
Probably u want to discourage toomush from posting his earnings.

I will be starting an award of 5k weekly, starting next months, post ur earnings for each week, if u earn the highest, i will transfer 5k.

IFSHR: They are spies and government agencies following this thread....keep encouraging their intentions. If Government agencies or spies want information, I doubt if they will come to nairaland to look for it, all they have to do is take a trip on either platform and ask the driver lots of questions (riders do as alot of questions about the hustle, any of them could be a spy ) Or better still enter one of the numerous telegram/WhatsApp groups. Many drivers I have meet on the road don't even know that this thread exist. I have been posting my earnings so that people like you will react, the other day someone jumped on oga gentlelife50 for posting he's dashboard The screenshot below is for you, I made that during the sallah week ( offline not included ) Disclaimer: the earnings posted below was a one time thing ( since then I have been struggling to make half of that)
