ad0nis: Yesterday was really something else for me. I took a rider from Ogba to Lekki phase 1, when I dropped her and checked the time it was 5:30pm. So I set my destination to Magodo as I stay around that axis. I didn't get any request until I got to Falomo bridge. The PU was just 7 mins away, the rider was in V.I. I picked her up and started the trip. She was heading to Maryland, I was looking for the fastest way to get to her destination using Google maps as I wasn't too familiar with that area but this map bleeped me up. I just drove round and round only to end up at ring road where there was a horrible traffic. The rider started complaining that I was just trying to cheat her then I tried explaining to her that it was just a mistake but she wasn't taking it. Next thing I knew this lady started crying o, saying everyone has just been cheating her that day. She started calling all of her friends, crying and telling them about her uber driving was trying to cheat her. We were stuck in traffic, next thing I know, this lady opened the door and said she was going to walk. I said walk ke? We're on a bridge ma, you're not supposed to even open the door here. She said she wants to jump inside the water and end her suffering. I was so shocked, I started begging this lady not to jump and that she should come inside, she didn't agree. I had to end the trip there and told her that I'll take her to her destination for free, that she should just come inside, then she did. She kept crying and crying for almost 2 hours until we got to Maryland. I was so exhausted that I don't think I'll work for a few days. This is new, might be a new format |

SHOOPSYN: But how did we get to this point in this country that local government illiterate, touts, mechanic, vulcanizer and Co can arrest cars on the road, taking the place of police officers. Removing road signs just to lure their prey into their trap. Are the activities of local government tout backed up by law or is one of those abnormalities that will dance along in this country. I was at one of the local government in Lagos, you need to see how these bird of ill-omen tout are mocking drivers about drivers begging them, money negotiations and how they strategize and stuff. Is really worrisome because is more like NNPC work for them. I really pity some uber drivers yesterday at their mercy, begging them with 20k+ despite the inconsiderate uber fares. Lets just watch out! 1luv! My brother, it's caused by the politicians who empower this touts, after promising the touts if they help them win election, that they will be given government office to make money from. They other day I saw them checking car papers(tufiakwa!!!) Close to Itire road. This country have gone to the dogs. |

Felicity0001: I speak from personal experience bro.
You could be right in your own experience but don't say the other person is wrong I stead speak for your self.
Do you get receipts each time you use the toll?
Have you bordered to confirm if the toll was added to your fare?
Observe these things and let the house know and learn.
A few people like me are free to give advice and expose our success secrets but many of us would never do that instead they talk you down when you're trying to make a point. Yes, I do see my balance on the digital board and don't forget I use the LCC app And I get a transaction statement at the end of the month. I didn't talk down on you

Felicity0001: It is what It is. I've warn us about using the ikoyi link bridge b4 and how using the etag or any of the toll gates don't count, reason I stopped using that link bridge and using my tag as well because you won't be issued a receipt.
Dont be disappointed with the response from uber it's a normal thing and due process to take.
You don't expect your office to pay for any expenses that has no receipt.
Another thing is, the lekki-epe toll gate charges N230 or there about while the Ikoyi link toll charges N335 or so where as the rider pays N200 and N300 respectively. Meaning you're looking 2-3 toll pass in every N5000 recharge you do.
What then is the need for using an etag or ecard when one is paying commission from his pocket. Wrong bro, I use etag all the time, lekki-ikoyi link bridge toll is #270 while lekki-epe toll is #180. I use the LCC app to top up |

Slickleo: Wait bro give all riders 1 star rating, will dy agree to give u 5 star rating. PL clarify bcoz since I started Uber na 5 star I do dash everybody, one rider even give me 1 star I don't know y On Uber, I give riders nice rating but on bolt I give 1 or 2 star. From what the guy said It doesn't mean they will give you 5 star, but in case a rider gives you a bad rating, the fall in rating won't be bad To be honest with you, I don't know if the above works oooh but I know a couple of riders who gave me 5 star |

Someone shared a tip some time back and I have been practicing it since (give all riders 1 star and your rating won't fall anyhow). If I like you or we gist well 3-4 star awaits the rider P.S The guy said this only works for bolt,

Take for an instance, if I want to be within Surulere how do I set my trips to be within on Uber I actually don't work in a particular jurisdiction, I go where the trips takes me to, but I'm very selective with the places I go to. About your question, I usually ask rider to cancel, if the rider is not going my way My rating

I wonder what The entire city of Lagos will be when they close 3RD mainland bridge nextweek Friday If you take a look at the map, everywhere is red. Concerning 3mb , I'm considering taking leave from next Friday for at least 2 weeks and see how they manage the traffic, before I get back on the road. |

Even me wey get 3 cancellations out of 88 uber still sent me a message that my cancellation is high.
So this brings me to a question which has been trying to ask.
How can one avoid cancellation on uber, some requests come with very long distance PU to avoid cancelling can I just avoid the request? What is the detriment of not accepting some request??
Ogas in the house your take please.
Thank you. It's just 11% before covid it was below 6%. Most times I just Ignore the request |

Felicity0001: 100%
But I gave him a run for the money shall because I made sure I humiliated him and delayed his time as well. I was on a trip and I already concluded that would be my last trip for the day reason I wasn't in a hurry.
Mondays to Wednesdays I'm always on cooperate wear he too could see I'm not those bus conductors or illiterates he could man handle, ridicule or intimidate which i told him. I even told him it's the d uniform he's wearing I respext, otherwise, the both of us would have done it man to man.
At the end of the day while I was transferring I discovered he's from the eastern part of the country (Nwabuisi. P Friday). I just laughed and he asked why I was laughing I told him nothing. Sorry for your ordeal, since you have he's name, run it through Facebook and see if you can get he's picture, create a thread here on nairaland, and if you can pay for Twitter influencers to help you trend it on twitter while tagging the Nigerian army. You will get a quick response from the Nigerian army. I'm with you 100% on your decision. Back in 2018, when I started ehailing, I had a terrible experience with a soldier(he was probably high, he's eyes was red), I didn't hit him or anything (he was on a bike oooh), he said I tried to hit the bike, I just Ignored him, I was on a call, that got him very angry, he pointed he's Ak47 at me(threatening to shoot) I was stunned, I just get quiet, that didn't work, he tried to force the door open, but as God may have it I was on central lock, since he couldn't open it he started hitting on the body of the car(dented the car) I was just inside looking at him. Bystanders were there looking, couldn't intervene because he was holding gun. That experience shook me badly. Most Soldiers are just power drunk, and abuse power too much |

davit: Guys if you didn't participate in today's traffic, congrats. You re lucky. I was fully involved. Idado estate to Ojodu. Rider decided to go back to Lekki after more than 6 hrs in traffic. Just dey reach house since 2pm. The trip was offline and the lady won't add to the fare after even taking her back to Lekki. Local man just gentle.
I learnt some people are still on the road anyways. I was lucky, my first trip in the morning took me to Berger from ogba, I got a request from olowora to bode Thomas, it took me an hour to get on the express, when I saw the length of the traffic, I made up my mind to avoid any trip in that direction, luckily for me, a trip took me to badore road, that was how I was doing back to back trips oooh, wanted to go home around 4pm, when I saw that the traffic has increased, I just continued working (slept at my brother's place at jakande). Today was my highest in app earning since covid, finally closed for the day by 8pm( to go offline was a problem, once a rider cancels another one enters immediately) |
