eyinola: this rating of a thing , once i end trip the rating pops up with 5 star i just rate it like that 100% of my riders always get 5star because i don't even hv time to start waiting to rate so i click on it straight up, same thing when i am the rider too..I hv been on 5star on bolt till it drops to 4.97 last week and i hv never ask any rider to rate me 5 star before.......meanwhile u can actually pass tru ikoyi link bridge without E card And pay 1k |

northbird: As a rider, I don't worry much about rating. Esp on Bolt, I have picked riders with ratings of 3.0 and below severally.
So from a rider's standpoint, ratings from a driver is overrated, it doesn't carry weight..
As per rider rating driver low for no reason, that's funny,
Cos right now, I'm not scared of any dam rating from any rider... I don't allow any rider intimidate me cos of ratings. If you cross your line, I bring you back immediately...
If for over 5 weeks, during corona, I didn't drive n things moved fine...
Whatever happens, regardless, prolly means, its tym to step into something bigger.... Exactly, I don't ask riders for 5 star, and I care less about it, I'm only concerned about my activity score. Tho my rating nah 4.90. just offer an excellent service and the rating will come I took a lady(an air hostess) from abulegba to the airport. When I dropped her off, she thanked me for a peaceful and smooth ride. She was even asking me if I stay around her area. |

northbird: What about riders that rate drivers low just cos of the fare?
This has happened to me a couple of tyms, I just marvel at such riders, y force urself to use Uber/Bolt, when you could jump buses
I mean as a rider, you have an idea of the fare estimates before ordering, if you don't hv much money on you as a rider, there are always alternatives, why put urself under a burden n transfer your anger on d driver. A similar thing happened to me yesterday, surge trip of 1.8 from ICM to Ajah. Immediately they entered, two ladies, they said Oga let's do this offline, I said I can't for safety reasons the one at the back said "I know he won't agree because he knows the money will be big" at the end they didn't allow me to drop them at their final destination, told me to end trip at ikota, one took bus, the other took bike |

Smart guy. That was how woman from prime water garden estate was upset because I said I won't wait for her, she said this is the first time she's hearing this. She even tried to persuade me by saying "should I end this trip now and order another one" I immediately said yes and parked. She was shocked, las las she say make I continue that she won't take more than 10 mins at jakande ( she had multiple stops, including ordering pizza) then drop her off at dominos (it seems she was meeting some people there and wanted me to wait, can you imagine. |

Crvrider: Please house, what does it mean if app (uber) requests for riders code before starting trip? Last night, carried a pretty Hausa lady from airport junction to vi and when I tried to start trip app started requesting for riders code. Rider had to call the person that ordered the ride and before the code was sent, I was almost at illupeju. Ended trip and instead of airport junction to vi, I saw illupeju to vi...weird. You should have waited, for the code. When Uber algorithm sense that your location and the rider that made the request is far from each other, they try to confirm if you are truly with the rider. Nah to avoid fraud sha |

Babadee1900: No bro. Swimming won’t affect engine seats nah...I’ve been managing the car with bad seatings like that since late July, the vibration was mild and can only be felt on the steering, I drove aggressively on Sunday, na him kuku spoil everything. Suspension works that I thought I would be doing next sef is nothing to worry about, the annoying noise coming from the wheel area that I thought is suspension related is not.
The bad engine seat caused all the vibrations and plenty sounds. Driving away from Oyingbo, car runs really smooth and bouncing out of potholes. I felt relieved, drive home was fun. Okay. When I mentioned swimming it wasn't about the engine seating but the fog lights. I even need to change one of my engine seating, e don spoil (my steering dey vibrate ) |

manny656: If I was dru23, my car won't have lasted 1 month in your hand. Your partner was fully incharge of maintenance of your car and at some point, you were remitting 10k per week, yet, you drove the car out of state and back and you were always here ranting about how your partner's car consumes fuel etc and now, you are champion for HP ? I don't know anyone that has completed a HP agreement. The 3 persons I knew, they either returned the cars themselves or it was retrieved. That you don't know anyone who has, doesn't mean they don't exist, I have meet like 3 drivers on the road, who will be completing their payment by January. |

mrjaydee: As a driver and also a partner my humble advise to all is to just go home or park somewhere. Today's work is cancelled.
Dont be tempted to work in this flood, how much can you make today? That you will go and spend double at the mechanic.

I hate when a rider leaves a driver in a problem, that their were partially the cause. |

eyinola: the person was on ground ooo, i was moving slowly with my hazard light on to pick her, as she hop in the car na so them put iron for my car, they almost remove my bumper sef Sorry bro. Next time, always use the car park, agree with the rider first, that you are going to park at the car park and tell the rider he/she will pay to avoid stories that touch. They are more aggressive now. |

donfortune48: Those guys are wicked.
I had a terrible encounter with them 2weeks ago.
Got a request to chevron drive from mm1. Got to pickup, rider was already on standby just after the car park entrance. But there are cars at his front so he directed me to drive forward a bit. I have to move just out the small gate at mm1. Immediately I stopped, one of them clamped me with those their big iron wager. And rider was just about to open the door, I locked my doors back immediately, reversed back to escape, they clamped my back tyre with another one. I climbed the one in front with speed, and it got stuck under my car making serious noise as I drive and there is little traffic at my front. People started shouting that I will spoil my car, but I no send any one. I kept moving small in the little traffic till the thing got out from under my car, but affected my right fender. They rushed me immediately, trying to open my door. but luckily the traffci at my front cleared and I sped. One of them by my right side dragging my door handle fell down and rolled on the ground. Those in front respected themselves and cleared. I drove straight to the Conoil just before the express, rider called me and apologized, begged me to wait at the Conoil, he'll treck to meet me.
I waited till he got there and proceeded with the trip.
Those guys are heartless. Those guys are something else, but always try to use the carpark. Its N500, tell the rider about the parking fee, at the end of the trip if Uber/bolt add the money, return the riders money. But if they don't, keep am. |

sooperrescue: I'm here o. This oil shortage wahala is much of a problem. Even getting the right synthetic oil is another thing. I will suggest that we move away from the usually known oils and focus on other good brands like Motul energy 5w30 API Sl sold by infinity tyres, Royal purple is sold here on Nairaland which is also an API Sl, or the German Addinnol 5w30 which is also 5w30 with energy conserving. Lubrex has a new oil in town that's energy conserving too and it's 5w30. I happened to come across Favoil 5w30 but I have not yet received the other gallon to analyze it's efficacy. There's also Infinity lubricant which claimed that it exceeds the specifications. We used it on a Corolla 2 weeks ago and we are yet to get feedback. For those using Toyota cars 5w30, focus on the API Sl energy conserving gasoline engine oil only type of oil. It will never short. Even though the newer oils are backward compatible, use the oil recommended for your car. Bro, what's the price range of these 5w-30 oil brands that you mentioned. Thanks. |

Felicity0001: That guy will most definitely serve a minimum of 25yrs in prison unless if God intervenes in the case. How would you allow an ordinary rider give u orders to hit and kill a police officer. Even that car h/h partner should better start running because police go arrest tire. An inspector of police for that matter.
May God help him is my prayer for him. They might even shoot him in the middle of the night and say he tried to escape. |
