Fujiyama:Performed poorly how? Do some of you guys work with facts and reality? Do you know how many first of its kind initiatives and projects Tinubu has delivered? Lagos to Calabar Coastal highway was conceived 50 years ago as critically required infrastructure. It is Tinubu delivering it. It is Tinubu who introduced the MREIF home ownership scheme Nigeria has never had similar to with how it enables Nigerians purchase homes with loan of up to 100 million Naira they can repay over 20 years at 9.75 interest rate. NELFUND now gives loans that allows every Nigerian attend university. Etc, etc, etc, etc. The areas of deficit are (1) insecurity which is being caused mainly by bandits and terrorists from the North with the reality being that the problem can only be solved when Northerners themselves want it ended and commit to what must be done to end it permanently. (2) Inflation and higher cost of living which are by-products of unavoidable reforms, I.e fuel subsidy removal and floating of Naira etc, that will set Nigeria on course to becoming a developed nation.. Already, the effects of fuel subsidy removal are massive. No Governor is borrowing to pay salary as obtained under GEJ and Buhari while Nigeria has become a huge construction site with infrastructure projects everywhere. See the list below of factual 50 achievements of Tinubu, compiled by Reno Omokri, that is unmatched by any President since 1999 to note you are merely talking out of prejudice against PBAT perhaps because you are an Obidient desperate to see Obi in Aso Rock. Insecurity and Rice and Eba (Reno Omokri) cannot be used to indict PBAT a failure when the man has had wonderful and transformational impact in so many aspects on the lives of Nigerians. https://x.com/TheNationNews/status/1917182807190999366 Reno Omokri lists 50 achievements that'll guarantee Tinubu's re-election in 2027 |
Fujiyama:Performed poorly how? |
FSBoperator:Absolutely. That is what he is about. Cynical and duplicitious politics of deceit, plus finger-pointing-against others always, with no verified leadership performance behind his name. |
Bukola94:I was never one of those who called Jonathan names. Too classy and refined for that. All Jonathan did was the usual tame leadership that all Presidents before him had done to keep Nigeria afloat but lacking the critical and unavoidably required reforms needed to move towards developed nation status even as we have the potentials to get there. Ngozi Okonjo-iweala, God bless that lady, bravely warned Jonathan about hand to mouth spending and lack of effort to save for a rainy day that saw Governors in trouble and borrowing to pay salaries under GEJ yet is not happening today under the far more fiscally intelligent, brave and responsible government of PBAT who had the balls to remove fuel subsidy. She warned in June 2013 that the Nigerian economy was "shaky" so I sometimes wonder what this romanticised praises of Jonathan's Presidency is about. Cheap oil abi cheap food? Do those things replace the concept that a President must arrive to begin pushing Nigerian towards becoming a developed nation like the UK, USA, Canada etc? Anyone who has experience of life as it obtains in developed nations will know GEJ was not it at all. Nice man but a mere gate keeper whereas Nigeria, to become developed, needs a leader like Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, of Turkey, or a Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore which is what Tinubu factually is. We should stop applauding Jonathan's rule because of low expectations and weaponised poverty deployed to make Nigerians grateful for crumbs from their masters table. Anyone who has lived in a developed nation, which I have done for the majority of my life, will appreciate what Tinubu is doing and why he is the truth. Never OBJ, Yar Adua, Jonathan or Buhari before him.

Agugbadin:Of course Baba. Shey these enemies of progress dey try to whine person? Lagos to Calabar Coastal Road was conceived 50 years ago. A whole 5 decades to open up a critical corridor of socio-economic trade and development plus vast travel and tourism boost to our economy. Noteworthy is the fact their are many pivotally critical projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal road going on across Nigeria currently. Only Tinubu, of many Presidents and heads of States before him to include GEJ from the SS, had the balls to work for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway and many other critical road infrastructure projects, with Dave Umahi's high quality work, that will open up Nigeria for local and sub-saharan African business and commerce. It is only in Nigeria because , unfortunately most Nigerians are about Rice and Eba according to Reno Omokri, Tinubu is not being given credit for how he is setting Nigeria on the path of development. Worldwide, Nigeria's stock has never been higher because technocrats and intelligent analysts appreciate the work of Tinubu they know, after a period of pain that cannot be avoided, will set Nigeria on course to becoming a developed nation. Investor confidence in Nigeria very high today Our central bank, under Cardoso, is world central bank of the year winner 2026. A feat we have never achieved. State policing all past Presidents rejected is virtually a done deal under PBAT. If not that Nigerians are about Rice and Eba, alone as Omokri succinctly put it, it will be clear to all and sundry is transforming Nigeria for the better aggressively and must continue beyond 2027. Just watch the video below as the female technocrat praises how Nigeria, under Tinubu, is a subjects of discussion for President, policy makers and investors around the world..Yet some will fail to acknowledge simply hate to admit the many good because of bad politics. We are our own biggest enemies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=4h12OuwUrkwRWgsd
|
bewla:Of course. Is it not how they alone fail to give PBAT credit for being the developmental father of modern Lagos, from 1999, whereas the entire world celebrates him for that with even dissertations written about the transformation of Lagos under Tinubu and Fashola at the finest institutions of learning in the world like Princeton University etal? They are just irredeemably bitter, envious and hateful. |
seunowa:Absolutely. |
esnbrutality:You guys are all just all shades of wrong and totally incapable of rising above emotions and hate for other. So the woman thanking Tinubu is a Bollywood actress acting out a script ba? Why not just be happy they have been rescued and wait for victims to tell their story before you start your Sherlock Holmes inanities? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CCIZ5svBf0?si=k_TCdlI5yp2bx80y |
Wickedfacts:Lol. Aminda is from the SE also. |
FatimaAbubakar:You guys are simply incredible. In any situation, you will always be negative and doom-mongering. Yes the rescue was "fake". With you lot, the algorithm is simple. Always oppose, discredit and demarket any positive development in Nigeria while never ever praising any positive development or good news. |
FSBoperator:Bruv, I would be so happy if Tinubu can grant a referendum to enable them leave Nigeria peacefully. |
Sonofgod1990:State Policing is on the way to deal with insecurity. If Northerners , leaders and followers, are comfortable with terrorism then the rest of us have to simply move to secure ourselves. Nothing can end banditry and terrorism unless Northerners themselves commit to ending it. OBJ and GEJ used precisely same word i.e "Nigeria not ripe for State Policing" while Tinubu is delivering. Please find other excuses to express prejudice against the Government in power because all major reforms our nation has needed for decades, and virtually all Presidents and heads of State have avoided, are what PBAT is delivering. |
Bukola94:I don't get you guys. Shall we ask AI the major reform Nigeria needs, to begin her march towards developed nation status, and see if GEJ initated even a single one of them? Do you think, perhaps because you have not experienced life in a developed nation, everything boils down to cheap petrol and cheap food alone? Cheap petrol that is a product of weaponised poverty keeping Nigerians docile yet bankrupting our nation while creating corrupt and billionaires daily who are glorified economic saboteurs determined to never allow Nigeria develop? You guys need to widen your knowledge. Jonathan was not it at all. He was same President who said Nigeria "not ripe for State policing" but Tinubu is about to change the security architecture of our nation bravely battling to deliver it. Look at an AI summary of why people worldwide are relocating to Singapore. What on the list did GEJ impact on whereas Tinubu is moving to deliver nearly all? "Global financial hub", mentioned as one reason many are relocating to Singapore, we are heading there because of reforms of our CBN Governor Cardoso that led our central bank to win world Central bank of the year 2026 praised particularly for positive fiscal transformation that has grown investment confidence in Nigeria etc, etc. Listen to the lady in the video below Life is not about cheap petrol and food alone, plus 30k minimum wage as obtained under GEJ, even if unexposed Nigerians believe that to be the case because they simply have never experienced anything else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=_YDE6cl0XmIzaS3h

kingbee90:Is this a joke? Nigeria can never become a developed nation without some major reforms like fuel subsidy removal, floating of the Naira etc that only Tinubu has been brave enough to initiate. Nigeria, because of fuel subsidy removal making more money available for polititical administrators, is a huge construction site today with so many stupendous transformational legacy projects like Lagos to Calabar coastal highway that will unlock huge wealth and prosperity for our nation. Conceived decades ago, only Tinubu has the vision and determination to pull it off. Floating of the Naira, along with some of the fiscal policies of our CBN Governor, is why Nigeria is world central bank of the years 2026 which has never happened in our history and certainly not under GEJ. So many other positives, literally countless, PBAT has achieved that Nigerians only about Rice and Eba (Reno Omokri) will not note. Developed nations are about good infrastructure, affordable mortgages for the working masses, credit that allows citizens afford what makes life comfortable, good health care, high quality education available to all (Tinubu directly impacted with NELFUND) etc and not cheap petrol and cheap food alone. Previous leaders, including Jonathan who could not initiate any major reform, weaponised poverty. Nigerians had been so subjugated to the extent most believe paying 180 Naira per litre of petrol is the optimal they should aspire to without understanding that if Nigeria is reformed as should be, and as Tinubu is doing, they can aspire to so much more.. Like having more money due to significantly increased per capita income, own home with affordable long term mortgages (MREIF) , automatically be assured higher education even if from poor homes (NELFUND) trade better, proliferate SME delivery plus develope travel and tourism sector substantially through legacy projects like the Lagos -Calabar coastal highway no other President, including GEJ from the SS, had dared to touch for decades. Etc, etc. The problem is that some of you do not understand what a developed nation should be. It isn't about cheap petrol and cheap food alone, under a mono-economy solely dependent on crude earning, while Nigerians are dirt poor earning 30k monthly minimum wage, around $19.00 USD, as was the case under GEJ with our people living in 'Pako' homes and under bridges. Under GEJ Nigeria was going bankrupt with Okonjo Iweala warning him directly of economic collapse because of lack of rainy day savings and economic buffers. Governors were borrowing to pay salaries while GEJ's own Bayelsa was near failed under him but in better health today because Tinubu had the bravery and focus to remove fuel subsidy. I will always quote Reno Omokri who stated that Nigerians cannot see the great transformation happening under PBAT because weaponised poverty, delivered by virtually every President since 1999, has mad e them about Rice and eba alone. This romanticising of GEJ's Presidency I believe is a form of ethnic bigotry and the lack of exposure of the average Nigerian that makes them unaware of what a developed nation is. Otherwise a detribalised and purely progressive Nigerian will know GEJ was not it at all. |
helinues:Lol. Obi is a clown. If Tinubu, regarding insecurity, has "done his best and needs to go home", despite being the most powerful Southern politician with staunch loyalists even in North, is it Obi who has built nothing and has no loyalists anywhere who can do better ? Obi is simply talking nonsense lately. As if intelligent and critical-thinking Nigerians don't know he is empty, without capacity and without political backing that can help a President. Can a fraud who has built nothing and no one succeed leading Nigeria that is highly divided, ethnically complex and religiously fractious? In what world is Tinubu the mate of Obi? |
. |
alanto:I believe it would be General Christopher Musa. Our Defence Minister. He recently announced a policy bandits and terrorists should be neutralised on sight by Nigerian armed forces personnel. That shift moves issues away from negotiating with bandits and terrorists. Connecting the dots, Musa has the right vision. |
yarimo:Absolutely. The FG must learn lessons from this also. Secure forest reserves with technology and well-trained armed forces personnel. These terrorists only get away with these crude criminal activities because of how Nigeria's security architecture remains 100 years behind what is standard in most developed nations of the world. USA have the capacity to eliminate terrorists many thousands kilometres away, in Iran for example, with drone that have biometric and DNA optimised capacity. Yet we have some illiterate bandits and terrorists kidnap Nigerians and the whole of our armed formed is struggling to find them and their kidnapped victims for months. |
Counterigbolies:They are terrible bro. |
Obiedun:He is terrible to be honest. 2027, he will be retired and a distant memory. It is the likes of Soludo, Umahi and Mbah who must step forward from the SE. |
Brendaniel:Lol. Proper men deal with facts and reality. Jonathan was an accidental President who never dreamed he could be President let alone plan for it. In fact OBj chose him as VP to YarAdua for his docility because he did not want an over-ambitious and treacherous VP for Yar Adau who would trouble him as Atiku did to Obasanjo. This was because OBj wanted to keep controlling the Presidency by proxy after he stepped down. He went for Yar Adua he believed to be meek and Jonathan he viewed controllable and unambitious. Tinubu is a proper leader no one can control. OBJ tried and failed. One of the best of the class of 1999 and onwards. He has prepared for decades to be President and is a proper strong man with impeccable support and literally thousands of loyalists everywhere. This is why he is getting his way bullying bills into law GEJ dare not try back then. No one can bully PBAT out of office with any Chibok girls-type blackmail. Do you know so many Southern Governors are fiercely behind Tinubu, including Igbos, and ready to change it for the North to ensure Tinubu continues in office? Dey play. Well-meaning Nigerians have seen that the best is in power and are defending him passionately to neutralise whatever the born-to-rule North feel they can do to sieze power. The issue with GEJ was that he was never a Tinubu type of leader. Not even close. The sharks smelt blood and they moved in. They can't do that with Tinubu. Go and read 48 laws of power and the Art of war, by Sun Tzu, and the philosophy of Ghengis Khan on leadership to understand why what some succeeded doing against GEJ can't happen to Tinubu. Even GEJ and his wife know this. Annoying you guys keep talking about Jonathan daily when you don't understand the simple fact he is not a leader at the level of Tinubu who is one of the best Nigeria has ever produced. |
abc115:Amen. Bigots and enemies-of-progress can keep moaning but PBAT will continue his work to set Nigeria on course to becoming a developed nation. |
abc115:Tinubu is the absolute truth. Nigeria is currently a major construction site of huge legacy infrastructure projects because of him and as never seen before. |
Gpropertys:Lagos will definitely achieve power sufficiency but it will be phased with areas like Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Ikeja etal gaining 24/7 optimal power supply because power sector investors , seeking decent returns on their investment, will gravitate towards areas that can pay cost-reflective tariffs.
|
Basic123:Indeed. Say anything positive about Lagos and their automatic reaction is to find something negative to present. |
R GlobalNews2020:Lol. Buratai is capping. Do you understand his tenure as COAS under Buhari? I believe the main problem of Nigeria is that Nigerians are not critically and analytically efficient thinkers and it is it the reason leaders take them for a ride. Buratai? Please. The man is corruption and sleaze personified. Serious allegations of embezzling funds meant for procuring weapons for our armed forces personnel thus leaving them underwhelmed again well-sponsored bandits and terrorists. Anyone can give a smart presentation. With Nigerians leaders though, check their history and you will note many are failures who talk the talk but could not walk the walk like Buratai. Corrupt failures while in office but suddenly they have all the solutions when out of office. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3251840445027793&id=100063573971327

BATified2023:Bro, this is why Reno Omokri said most Nigerians are about Rice and Eba only. Poor human resources living to eat, have sex and procreate only. They are not particularly focused on self-development and don't believe they they should be part of the solution Nigeria needs. Their own is to be fed so they can chase their mundane priorities that contributes nothing to what is required to develop nations to first world status. |
9japride:Thanks for the polite response. This is something many Nairalanders don't have the maturity to key into. The bolded is correct. Nigeria can be a great nation, with happy and productive people, if we work on what it will take for people to earn income that will allow them to meet all their needs. This is what we must work on. I want a Dubai-like template for Nigeria. So many worldwide are moving to Dubai. Anthony Joshua moved there permanently recently. What they are doing right is using the wealth of their nation to develop their people and nation. Education, property development, fair tax environment, business opportunities etc there is top notch. That is what we have to do. It is not Rocket Science |
truthera:Lol. Stop making empty threats. We must all abide by the rule of law of Nigeria. What is the way forward if every ethnic group begin to reject criminal conviction of their kinsmen? This lawlessness, demand of Northerners for amnesty for terrorist and you guys demanding Kanu be freed etc, is what is destroying Nigeria. |
9japride:He goofed with the 60k figure. Perhaps because, like most political leaders paid very well, he is disconnected with how Nigerians do not earn wages to cover their living expenses. I believe if per capita income can improve so the average Nigerian is earning 300k to 400k monthly then majority of Nigerian would be happy and fulfilled. Bwala got the figure wrong horribly and patronisingly but his central point is correct which is that Nigerians can live better in Nigeria than foreign nations on the right income. |
Humphrey1111:Are you the only one who has lived outside Nigeria? He is right. Some of you just argue without inspecting the point others are making. 100k USD is over 137 million Naira. He stated that such would be enough for a retired man of sixty with grown kids who have left home meaning his life is low maintenence and fairly scaled down. How does that not make sense? Can the retired 60 year old need more than 5 million naira a year to cover living expenses especially if he has no rent obligation? I am fairly comfortable as a businessman and I run my private life with around 500k monthly in a normal month with no spiked spending. Food, DSTV, Unlimited WiFi subscription, fuel, grooming, dining out and clubbing now and then etc. Business rates and expenses of course is handled by profit. How will a 60 year old retired man need to spend more than me? I am breaking down reality for you . We just need to improve SME proliferation and diversify our economy aggressively so per capita income can improve adequately so Nigerians can meet their monthly living expenses and have some extra to save. We must also improve access to cheaper credit so that people can buy homes, vehicles and all their immediate and essential lifestyle needs like TV, Cooker, furniture etc. That is how it works in developed nations. Cost of living is way lower in Nigeria than the West and that is the factual point Bwala is making. We simply need to host policies and initiatives to make Nigerians earn more and afford more and Nigeria would become a nation many would wish to live and remain in as Singapore achieved.

There were some who also said Jonathan was the best. Where are they today?
