Prof. Wole Soyinka's tribute to Sen. Asiwaju
Tinubu.
"I do not admire Tinubu because he is a saint. I
do not admire Tinubu because he is from the
south. I do not admire Tinubu because he is a
Yoruba. If I want saints, I will proceed to heaven
not on earth. Every human is fallible. I admire
Tinubu because; He saved Nigeria from the
danger of falling into "one party state". He has
nurtured many renowned National successors. He
listened to the voice of the masses to surrender
his personal ambition at the most critical
moment. He strategically terminated PDP 60
years life spam in 16 years. The robust critic and
critique we are enjoying today is because Tinubu
aligned himself to the masses to return the power
to them. Tinubu has the option of joining the PDP
elites to hold us hostage for another decade but
he gave his all to the masses to dethrone the
elites. Political juveniles believed that APC won
because of the votes from the North. No!!!, APC
victory was cemented the day PMB and Asiwaju
resolved to work together. Asiwaju and PMB
almost became a Nomadic by visiting every
human that can help midwife Nigeria
salvation. Those Nomadic Almajiri walk later
brought salvation to us. God willing, PMB is the
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Anybody, any cabal, any Viju milk activist,
attempting to humiliate Asiwaju must have me to
contend with. An average PDP man is sad with
Asiwaju because he brought them to their knee. If
anyone thinks that bringing down Asiwaju is his
project, that mission will not only crash but it will
boomerang. Don't tell me he is overbearing, your
"underbearing" mentors were nowhere to be found
when this Country was lying critically at the
intensive care of the universe. Recall my first line,
Asiwaju is not a saint. Stop demonising what you
admire out of envy. Even your mentors admire
him.
He owns Lagos! I hear you! Ask your grand father
and parents how they acquired your so called
"family
land". Is it God that allocated it to them?
You are terrorizing your neighbours and village
with your kpof-kpof kobo yet you criticise a man
that is naturally addicted to technocrats
irrespective of their tribe or Religion.
Hmmmmm. I don talk am ooo, Asiwaju is not a
political office holder oooo. Please let him be. He
is evil, I agree, but we need more of him than a
your a saintly specie. Dear Asiwaju, the gentle
stride of a tiger is not a symbol of a
cowardice".... Prof Wole Soyinka.

PoliticsThe Wisdom Of A Listening President by tophumble(op): 10:52am On Oct 15, 2015
THE WISDOM OF A LISTENING PRESIDENT:

Nigeria is blessed with a listening president who feels the pulse of the citizens, this was the major reason why the ministerial list was submitted in batches so as to get the reaction of the citizens and make necessary corrections.
After the submission of the first batch of 21 names, Nigerians complained majorly on the non inclusion of technocrats and the recycling of old politicians, this led to the last minute change in the substitution of a lot of politicians on the second list wit technocrats.
We should not also forget that the President was also conscious of the religious bias being used to campaign against him, this reflected in the ministerial appointment where 18 Muslims and 18 Christians where presented.
ADVICE TO THE WAILING WAILERS: Let's put the elections behind us and support the govt for the benefit of all.
Thank you.

PoliticsEkiti Monarchs To APC Lawmakers: Don’t Impeach Fayose by tophumble(op): 3:27pm On Apr 23, 2015
Traditional rulers in Ekiti State have warned the 19 All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the state House of Assembly against impeaching Governor Ayo Fayose.
They reiterated their opposition in an unequivocal term to moves by the outgoing legislators and their sponsors to impeach the governor.
According to the monarchs, all attempts to impeach the governor should stop forthwith.
The Obas, who held an emergency meeting on Wednesday on the impeachment crisis rocking the state, accused the APC legislators who form majority in the state parliament of “consistently frustrating all their peace moves by not attending meetings called for the purpose.”
In a 13-point communiqué signed by the Chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Adamo Idowu Babalola, made available to reporters on Thursday, the monarchs said, “they are deeply concerned and worried about the lingering political upheaval which became aggravated after the March 28 presidential election.”
The royal fathers, however, praised the State Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, for “rising above partisan positions to uphold the tent of his office despite pressure from interested quarters.
They implored Daramola “to continue in the same spirit so as to ensure that the popular wish of the generality of the people is not subverted.”
The Obas appealed to Fayose to “graciously consider giving palliative measures to alleviate the sufferings of the agitating legislators” whose salaries and entitlements have not been paid since December on the alleged orders of the governor.
They maintained that Fayose still remains the legitimate governor of Ekiti State and should be allowed to exercise the mandate given to him by the electorate in the June 21, 2014 gubernatorial election.

PoliticsEx-militants Leader Declares Support For Buhari by tophumble(op): 2:36pm On Apr 23, 2015
Leader of the Bakassi Freedom Fighters (BFF), an ex-militant group in Cross River State, Gen. Franklyn Duduku, has pledged to support the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, in his efforts to move the country forward.
He also said no ex-militant would go back to the creeks, but said the Buhari government should strengthen the Amnesty Programme to enable it achieve its objective.
A statement signed by Duduku and titled: WE WILL SUPPORT GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI TO UNITE THE COUNTRY, made available to The Nation in Calabar on Thursday reads, “One of the many reasons why ex-militants leaders in the Niger Delta region are teaming up to support GMB is for the interest of peace and development of the entire nation.
“GMB during his tenure in office in the military era was able to achieve if not much, but a few remarkable projects which up till date speaks volumes to his personality.
“No leader is bad. It is only when we allow greed to overpower our conscience that evil becomes prevalent in all the sectors of our endeavour. Electioneering days are over and we now know the next captain of the Nigerian ship.
“It will be rather disrespectful of any well – meaning and peace – loving Nigerian to say ‘Buhari will Islamize Nigeria,’ as claimed by some fanatics who are just mere agents of destruction.
“One would ask why the same GMB, who had been a military head of state did not Islamize the country as easy as it was then than now in a democratic dispensation! It is only in our nation that political opponents resolve to character assassination and castigation, as if it is instrumental to election victory!
“It is an established reality that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the President-elect, has come to unite the nation and bring long lasting peace to the troubled parts of the nation. If we must succeed, then sentiments must be avoided, we must bring to bear all avenues that will foster a peaceful co-existence amongst us as a nation and people of one belief. Nigeria is our country. There is no other home like ours. We must support the President-elect to build and unite Nigeria.”

PoliticsWhat Will History Say About Ayo Fayose? by tophumble(op): 11:52am On Apr 23, 2015
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is an enigma. I know a lot of Nigerians would find even the contemplation unacceptable but then truth must be told. To drive the point home appropriately, let us attempt a definition of the word “enigma”.
The online dictionary, oxforddictionaries.com, defines enigma as “A person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand.” I do not know a better word to describe any man who sponsored some of the most virulent advertisement against the person and candidature of Muhammadu Buhari before the recently concluded presidential election but would equally be the first to congratulate him when it became obvious that Buhari was winning the election. Fayose just seems so adept at compartmentalising his emotions even if just fleetingly. But this is not the only testimony of enigma of Fayose and I am going to attempt a systematic construction from here.
When he was declared winner of the June 21, 2014 governorship election in his state, there were two phenomenal things about the declaration. The first was that the 55-year-old defeated a sitting governor who was a contestant in the election. Now, in Nigeria, you hardly find anyone defeating an incumbent executive, be they president, governor or council chairman. It is just not our way.
Fayose did not just win the election, he defeated Governor Kayode Fayemi in all the 16 local government areas in the state, including the latter’s Oye Local Government Area. Although a tape allegedly recorded by an intelligence officer who was on duty during the election increased speculations about the likely manipulation of this election, two immutable factors testify that Fayose attained this victory creditably.
One is that elections are hardly ever rigged with the perfection of the results of the electoral exercise under consideration. And the second is that all possible courts in the land have conclusively decided that the election was legitimately won by Fayose.
The second significant thing about his victory in 2014 was the fact that he was returning to the position eight years after his first tenure was terminated by an impeachment. Fayose was first sworn in as governor of the state on May 29, 2003. He however soon ran into trouble with the Federal Government under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. This was followed by allegations of corruption initiated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and his eventual impeachment by members of the House of Assembly for a myriad of charges in October, 2006.
In effect, he won the 2014 election with quite a baggage of moral and legal issues hanging on his neck.
These accusations have formed the basis of a chain of actions and law suits which continue to dog the governor since his election. At some point, there were fears that he might not be sworn in because of the issue of eligibility which was one grounds of appeal raised by the All Progressives Congress against him.
Although the governor was last week finally vindicated by the Supreme Court, he still has a case with 19 members of the state House of Assembly who are bent on impeaching him over a series of alleged constitutional infringements.
The impeachment notice brought the cloudy situation that the House of Assembly has been in since November last year when seven members of the House sat and impeached Dr. Adewale Omirin as their Speaker and appointed Mr Dele Olugbemi as his replacement to a head.
The seven legislators alleged that the decision became imperative following Omirin and his deputy’s “absence without official notice,” and that “the business of the House cannot grind to a halt” in their absence. They also accused Omirin of revealing official secrets, misappropriation of assembly funds and signing of bonds with the past executive without the knowledge of other members of the House.
This is the situation that Ekiti has been in over the past few months. When the majority legislators are not plotting to send Fayose out of government, they are calling press conferences to draw national attention to allegations including threats to their lives by the Fayose administration.
And on the part of the administration, we have seen at least two massive blockage of roads leading into Ado Ekiti as well as the House of Assembly complex, all in a bid to ensure those who want to impeach the governor do not have access to the complex.
Just last Monday, private and public schools failed to reopen for the third term while a lot of workers went back home out of fear of being caught in any untoward situation that could emanate from clashes between supporters of the APC and Fayose’s Peoples Democratic Party.
The Monday action was a direct result of the governor’s broadcast the previous day alleging that the opposition lawmakers planned to invade the Assembly on Monday to effect the impeachment proceedings against him. He urged transport unions, market women and workers to rise up to protect the mandate they gave him. Incidentally, a day before that day, Fayose had during a church service appealed to his political opponents to sheathe the sword and join him in the very urgent need to move the state forward. And then the broadcast just shortly after!
One week before this, members of labour unions in the state staged peaceful protests in support of the governor warning that any attempt to impeach him was bound to meet the resistance of workers who voted him into power.
The Secretary to the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state, Mr. Ade Obatoye, was quoted as saying that: “…the people of Ekiti did not only vote for Fayose, but the Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, had also revalidated it. We appeal to the APC to wait for four years when there will be chance to elect another governor and if they can appeal to our people, they can get it back, but not the way they are presently doing.”
All of these without any doubt point to the fact that Fayose is quite popular amongst the Ekiti State electorate and that those who voted for him are willing to defend their mandate, something which put him in a rare class of politicians in the country.
However, the governor must realise that there is a difference between populism and delivering good governance, and that there is a difference between being famous and being a role model, which is what everyone who is in a position of leadership like Fayose should aim for. The governor is totally far from that lane with these invitations to protests and sieges to institutions of government.
Maybe, the governor needed to do some desperate things for his political survival at some point, but he has already started to beat the drums too hard and risks a tear. As he gets close to the first anniversary of his administration, he needs to face governance and seek peaceful co-existence of all the people he governs. The governor needs to behave like a leader, live up to the promises he made to work with the APC lawmakers last Sunday, give them all their dues and work towards leaving a legacy that would outlive him. He needs to seek the assistance of traditional and religious leaders, who are too quiet by the way.
True, the APC lawmakers and their party equally need to bury the hatchet and allow peace to reign but the governor has more at stake. He has to justify the second chance that God has given him and work for the good of his people that is going up in waste. He needs to stop this popularity show and work towards the peace and development of the state. So, he will be on the right side of history. That is still possible.

Christianity EtcCheck Out 2015 Prophecies By Prophet Wale Olagunju And Its Acccuracy by tophumble(op): 11:54am On Apr 01, 2015
On new year eve 2014, Prophet Wale Olagunju gave prophecies for the year 2015, all he said concerning the general election are 100% accurate. Indeed there are real prophet of God.

CHECK OUT THE FULL PROPHECIES BELOW:

Ibadan Prophet Releases 2015 Predictions, Says “Only a Miracle Can Make PDP Win in 2015″
. Jonathan Should Prepare His Handover Notes
. A young military officer will cleanse Nigeria
For some years now, the Presiding Bishop of the Divine Seed of God Ministries, Sasa, Ibadan, Prophet Wale Olagunju is a man many have taken seriously especially for his annual predictions.
Olagunju, who has been critical of corrupt government officials warned years ago that the Strongman of Ibadan Politics, High Chief Adedibu should put his house in order because his time was up. It happened just as he said it.
In 2011, it was in his predictions that God had turned against the then Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Alao-Akala, over his alliance with Sat Guru Maharaji. That year, Akala was beaten at the polls.
In Prophet Olagunju’s predictions for 2015, he pointed out that as revealed to him by God, only the “miracle of the century” can make President Goodluck Jonathan win the 2015 election.
Below is the text of the predictions, as made available to The Anchor Online:
2015 prophecies by Prophet Wale Olagunju
Welcome to 2015, the year of the Lord. I declare in the name of the Lord under the power of his calling upon my life, that as you step into year 2015, “ The lord your God shall go with you, He will never leave you and neither will He forsake you” in Jesus name; amen.
In 2010, the Lord spoke through me that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will emerge as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2011 General Election and God was faithful to His word, Jonathan did.
Soon after his emergence, particularly on the day of his inauguration, Jonathan began to flout the commandments and ordinances of the living God, by granting and allowing the Association of Nigerian Witches and wizards who deployed 500 of their members to be present at his inauguration which fell on a Sunday which is widely accepted as the day of the Lord. It would be recalled that the story was well published in the Sun Newspaper of May 27, 2011.
Also for the 2015 race, the duo of this same association and Sat Guru Maharaj; the self-acclaimed perfect master, have endorsed Jonathan as their candidate. All these angered God and God, based on this sin is done with Jonathan and his Government.
It will also be recalled that God, the ruler in the affairs of men also spoke through me before the 2011 election that General Mohammed Buhari was not the man after his heart, but God has again spoken that it is this same Buhari that He has now chosen instead of Jonathan to replace him and execute His fierce judgment for the sins of Jonathan and to lead Nigeria for the next Republic. God said for Jonathan and his sacred witchcraft advisers to know that He is the Almighty God; they will begin to realize during campaign that the 2003, 2007 and 2011 rejected stone has now become a cornerstone to be used by the living God in Nigerian politics
Below are few of the things the Lord told me concerning this country and the world at large, for 2015 and beyond:
1. For allowing the Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria to adopt him as their candidate come 2015, the Almighty God has decided to appoint General Buhari, a man after His heart to execute His ruthless judgment against Jonathan and his government. God says Jonathan’s days as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are numbered.
2. God also revealed that for allowing the said association to snatch May 29, 2011which was a Sunday to perform his inauguration, instead of dedicating the day for thanksgiving to Him, God who vowed not to share His glory with mortal man revealed that Jonathan has sinned against Him and said this accounts for the trouble and killings which characterized his administration.
3. As revealed to me by God, power of incumbency, religion and tribal sentiment which the ruling party in Nigeria relies upon to win them the 2015 Presidential Election will fail them and President Jonathan will go into history as the first sitting President to lose election.
4. For President Jonathan, 2015 is a forgone issue, as the All Progressives Congress has put in place machineries in all the states of the federation to make rigging a tall order.
5. God revealed that Jonathan will be humiliated in the North during his campaign; his campaign billboards and posters will be torn and demolished.
6. God says Nigerians will demonstrate so much hatred for Jonathan during his campaign tour as much as they did demonstrate their love for him in 2011; this will be a sign for Jonathan to know that He is God and is in action.
7. President Jonathan should begin to prepare his handing over notes now and should beware of those that are clamoring for him, for they are deceiving him.
8. Should Jonathan emerge by manipulation as the winner of the next Presidential election, Nigerians should expect fuel price increment.
9. Should Jonathan become the next President by manipulation in the 2015 election, God almighty revealed to me that he will not complete his tenure.
10. God revealed to me that He wants Nigerians to learn from what is happening in Nigeria to the person and the party which the P.D.P and some self-centered Nigerian Pastors are blackmailing as Islamist and Islamic party for them to know that no person is a complete outcast in His presence, that He God can use anybody, any day and any how to accomplish His purpose.
11. God revealed to me that Buhari is not the messiah that will bail Nigeria out of the present downturn, but his government will be far better than that of Jonathan.
12. God warned that Nigerians should pray against 2 things now: that the 2015 election will not turn out to be like the 1993 election and also that Buhari will not have serious health problem.
13. President Jonathan and his government should prepare to face probe.
14. More members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party will still decamp to other parties.
15. Peoples Democratic Party will lose governorship seats in some of their states in the next general election except the party takes serious care.
16. Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state will be threatened with impeachment. The Governor should pray now so that his past experience when he was removed from office will not repeat itself.
17. As revealed in my 2003, 2004 and 2005 prophecy when I saw Nigeria breaking into 5 nations, God again revealed to me that the country will continue to move from one crisis to another until it will finally break up.
18. Should President Goodluck Jonathan be killed either directly or by accident, the Almighty God revealed to me that it will lead Nigeria into another civil war.
19. The First Lady, Patience Jonathan should pray against sickness which may manifest in pains all over her body.
20. The Ooni of Ife should pray against sickness.
21. Some elements within the Peoples Democratic Party will wage underground war against former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his supporters but they will fail and come back to beg him.
22. The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala should pray against a dreaded sickness now.
23. The Peoples Democratic Party will soon be restructured at both national and state levels.
24. Governorship election in Oyo State will be tense.
25. The Northern Muslims will in future rise to request for their own region.
26. Serious prayer should be offered for 2 former heads of government in Nigeria.
27. Senator Bola Hammed Tinubu should commence serious prayer now against sickness.
28. Come 2019, the Ibos will rise to fight for their right to the Presidency.
29. The Almighty God revealed to me concerning 2 notable General Overseers in Nigeria that one of them is close and dining with those whom He God considers as criminals in His sight and that the wife of the said General Overseer has domineering spirit and is so stubborn in manner. Concerning the second General Overseer, the Lord says his lifestyle, message and work are not acceptable before God. God Almighty warned that these two people should change before it is too late.
30. God revealed that the blood of innocent people from Tafawa Balewa group and those of the victims of Biafra War and FESTAC 77 are also sins in his eyes. God says Nigeria will continue to wallow in problem except we unite and beg God in Prayer for forgiveness.
31. Should Jonathan forcefully manipulate the election in his own favour, there will be chaos and the government will not last. In the event that Jonathan remains as the next President, he will as soon as he is inaugurated begin to rule with iron hand and this will bring hardship to Nigerians. Under his second regime, Nigerians will groan and witness serious hardship and many will realize that Jonathan is a bad investment.
32. There shall be showers of blessing on all children of God in 2015.
33. The 2015 General Election will experience massive rigging as both the ruling People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress will go into the election with full determination to outplay one another.
34. Nigerians should pray for the Olubadan of Ibadan land and former President Badamasi Babangida against sickness.
35. As revealed further, even the APC is not the messiah party that will bail Nigeria, out of their rotten mess both the APC and PDP were merely preparing the ground for the young military officer that God will use to cleanse the Nigerian nation and accomplish His purpose
36. No spirit-filled prophet of God who is on the side of God will be happy with the way sin has made God Almighty to be angry with us. Sin has destroyed our Nation and anyone who cannot admit this is simply being willfully blind. What is the sin of all righteous men and prophets for ages? It’s so simple, their failure to close eyes to all form of injustice, their un-alloyed stands on integrity, their constant feeling for poor masses. As a prophet of God my heart bleeds for my country whenever God Almighty reveals to me His judgment against Nigerians and their leader.
37. The year of God mercy for the obedience and the year of judgment for corrupt politicians.
38. Many notable Nigerians will die in the year 2015
39. The current IGP should be very careful.
40. Law on corruption on the way.
41. There will be court case as far as the 2015 election is concern.
42. Jonathan will beg the people of Nigeria.
43. The corrupt politicians of Nigeria will gang up against Buhari
44. The result of the 2015 president election will surprise many people.
45. As revealed to me by God Almighty if P.D.P still thinks we are 2003,2007 or 2011, they have made a mistake. It will take the miracle of the century for them to survive; no amount of propaganda can save Jonathan and his P.D.P from losing 2015 general election.
46. Nigerians should pray for Mama Awolowo and Ooni of Ife.
47. Mimiko of Ondo State and his P.D.P will lose to A.P.C in the coming election.
48. A.P.C will lose Imo State.
49. As revealed to me by the Almighty God, Jonathan has sinned against mankind. Jonathan is one president that assumed office with a lot of goodwill and expectations but on Jan 1st 2012 when Nigerians were thanking God for sparing their lives, he decided to inflict hardship on the people of Nigeria by increasing the price of fuel.
Nigerians went out rain curses over him and his Government. Spirit-filled persons will realize that ever since then, things have never been the same again for him, his Government and Nigeria.
50. Keshi is not the real coach Nigeria needs.
51. Hard time awaits Nigerians living abroad.
52. The 2015 presidential election in Nigeria will be a do or die affair .
53. Mikel Obi’s days in Chelsea are numbered.
54. In Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja is determined to root out Ajimobi

TEARS FOR NIGERIA....
Oh! Great Nigeria, why hast thou drunken the blood of the unborn in the pregnancy of the starving mother?
Why hast thou become a mocker to those who sang your praise?
Why hast thou forgotten the tears and pains of those who perished to bear thy pain?
How early did you forget the eye that watched you up?
The mouth that spoke you up
The weary skinny hands that bore you through the incorruptible judges that sought your freedom.
You have taken the cup from the mouth of the rejoicing to the mouth of the drunkard
You have denied the poor of their bargain and the rich you have granted treasures
You have taken the little of the needy and increased the octet turgid pockets of the rich.
You have cut short the vision of the young and sat the old in the future
On the horse back you claim to ride but your inhabitants crawl on their tongues
You fill the earth with stale fairy tales, as you promised the undone
O! Nigeria where is the glory of the blood to the vision we hoped for, where where.... but silence i will still get... what a painful sting on the tongues of many who believed in your pathetic lies....
