Pierohandsome: Learn to use the scriptures to make your point. Show me a married woman in the bible whom God gave instruction and she went ahead to do it without informing the husband first. If God actually gave her instruction, then he will also give her the grace to convince her husband. By the way, did God tell her in the instruction not to carry her husband along?? God values the marriage so much because He instituted it. People have abused divine revelations today. Most people cover their emotional soft spots by claiming it is God's instruction. Women are prone to this weakness. The barometer for measuring every divine instruction is the Bible. |

oruma19: Don't mind these people that use secular reason on spiritual issues. Just look at this: 2 Kings 4:8-37 English Standard Version (ESV) Elisha and the Shunammite Woman One day Elisha went on to Shunem, where a wealthy woman lived, who urged him to eat some food. So whenever he passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food. And she said to her husband, “Behold now, I know that this is a holy man of God who is continually passing our way. Let us make a small room on the roof with walls and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us, he can go in there.” The Shunammite woman seemed her husband's consent first. 1 Like |

Pierohandsome: Stop quoting the scripture out of context. God will not give the wife an instruction that will contradict his written word about the family. God in His infinite wisdom set up the hierarchy of the family and placed the man as the functional head. The husbands leadership role is so sacrosanct that he is allowed to reverse a vow made by the wife without his approval ( numbers 30 vs 10-15). Am sure you know how God demands his people to honour vows made. But here, the husband is given authority to render null his wife's vow. You must weigh every vision and revelation against God's word. God will never instruct you to dishonour your husband so as to please Him. Finally, the pastor is not the core priest of a wife. The primary priest of a wife is her husband. This truth is beyond the scope of this forum. But the spiritual do understand. 1 Like |

lawman88: This is what the Bible says about this: Numbers 30:10-13 New International Version (NIV) “If a woman living with her husband makes a vow or obligates herself by a pledge under oath and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her and does not forbid her, then all her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand. But if her husband nullifies them when he hears about them, then none of the vows or pledges that came from her lips will stand. Her husband has nullified them, and the LORD will release her. You have the right to demand her to return the money or even confront the receiver. However, you can let it slide for peace to prevail. 1 Like |

Any of the federal universities of technology will offer those options. The one that comes to my mind most is FUTO. But bear in mind that operation research and engineering mgt are not core engineering courses. If your career goal is tilted towards academics, then it is important that you know that those options are not viewed as core fields in both pure sciences and eng. And for that reason, one could suffer stunted growth in the academics. |

Quality management is not related to chemistry. I am not sure if they are run in the same faculty. Direct PhD in chemistry is therefore not an option. You could go for PhD in operations research or engineering management. |

Family / Woman Bags Jail Sentence For Reading Her Husbands E-mail by toptop: 4:22pm On Dec 30, 2017 |
Swiss court convicts woman for reading husband’s emails https://www.thelocal.ch/20171220/swiss-court-convicts-woman-for-reading-husbands-emails A wife in the canton of Aargau has been convicted of a criminal offence for going into her husband’s email account and reading and downloading information without his knowledge. The woman became suspicious after her husband set up a second email account on their home computer, according to the Aargauer Zeitung. The couple had always known each other’s passwords and had even written them down, according to the paper. Since the man used one of these passwords for his new account, his wife was easily able to access it and read his emails. So she did – and discovered that he had been having affairs with several other women for some time. She confronted her husband, who moved out of their apartment. He later filed a criminal complaint against his wife for reading his emails. In February this year the Muri-Bremgarten public prosecutor issued the woman with a suspended financial penalty of 9,900 francs plus a 4,300 franc fine for her unauthorized intrusion into her husband’s data, saying she deliberately and repeatedly invaded his email account and downloaded material that was not her own. Speaking on appeal to the district court in Bremgarten, the woman’s lawyer demanded acquittal for his client, saying she didn’t hack into her husband’s email since she knew his password. Her search history showed that, prior to reading her husband’s emails, the defendant googled whether doing so would make her liable for prosecution. This showed she knew she was entering a grey area, said the court, even though the internet did not give her a definitive answer on the subject. The court upheld the conviction, saying unauthorized intrusion into someone else’s email account is illegal, however it greatly reduced the penalty, acknowledging the woman had only shown “minimal criminal energy” since all she had to do to access the email account was to “exploit her husband’s carelessness” in using the password they both knew. Speaking to 20 Minutes, Zurich lawyer Martin Bürgi said it makes no difference whether the people involved are married, living together or don’t know each other at all, someone must still have permission to read another person’s messages. Reading data protected by a password or code without the account owner’s permission is illegal under article 143 of the Swiss criminal code, he said. According to the code, such an act is punishable with a fine or up to three years in prison. |

I know that there is no guarantee that you will pass your professional exams without any slip up. That is the risk. Risk is not equal to uncertainty. Risk is rewarding. Uncertainty is not. My take is that you go for your ICAN first. Age is very much on your side. As an ACA, you are positioned for employment and self-employment opportunities. |

Take your mentor's advice. Go for ICAN now. With that, you will easily secure a job in an audit firm. Your BSc will then be run smoothly. And you will have the opportunity to earn post qualification experience before you complete your degree programme. |

Let me start by congratulating you. You have done well for yourself. Then again you are not correct to conclude that at 22 age is not on your side. With regards to your question, you need to run both if you have the financial muscle. Postponing your ICAN professional exams is not good. Your mind and brain is ready and focused for it now. This is the best time to clear it. You don't know how your post degree mindset will be like. Again, your 100 levels programme will not pose much problem or distraction your way. At that time, most students are even yet to settle down. See this as a win-win situation. With time, you will get to know that being an ACA is more valued than BSc. This is from my experience as an ACA. |

Business / Lessons To Draw From Innoson Ltd Vs GTB: Forensic Expert Opinion by toptop: 7:41am On Dec 21, 2017 |
My expert opinion........ Lessons to draw from the issues between Innoson Ltd and a bank so far: 1. Banks must now begin to run revenue quality assurance in order to certify they are charging the right fees & interest within every point in time. This is very easy, yet most banks find it complex. 2. Banks are not good in court rooms. It is therefore not enough for any bank to rely on their legal counsels when issues with customers escalate. Banks should also consider the services of customer relationship and reputational management consultants to manage court judgements. 3. Thorough bank account reconciliations CANNOT detect excess bank charges. Never expect your Accountant to achieve that. It requires specialized softwares and relevant banking expertise to decipher the existence of illegal & excess bank charges. 4. Don't criminalize your bank or shout blue murder when you discover excess bank charges against you. Please note that most of these bloated charges are triggered by application errors and other systemic challenges. 5. Excess bank charges are not limited to loans and overdrafts. All fee attracting services are materially exposed to excess charges. And all customer income earning transactions are susceptible to revenue under-credit. 6. Banks also suffer revenue loss via customer undercharges primarily due to system glitches and staff inefficiencies. And in most times they are never detected. 7. All excess bank charges can be refunded. Your business will need bank charges audit if: a. you have obtained any loan in the past or presently. b. you are running a business current account c. you handle forex transactions d. you process investments from the account 8. Excess bank audit and recovery service is free. You are only charged from the amount recovered. No recovery=No pay. newsynews: Look at how unkept the building housing our president looks. The wall paint is washing off and the house looks very open. No wonder everyone can just pose in front of the gate. The structure is not even up to the official residence of a LG chairman in Nigeria. Is this Abuja house befitting for our President? |
