AK, a SARS officer notorious for illegal arrests and extortion, was disgraced by the mom of one of his potential victims, yesterday, in #Ikorodu, Lagos.

The incident happened in front of a Polaris bank. The lady and her son had gone to carry out a transaction at the bank, only for AK - attached to State CIID, Mowonla, Ikorodu - to start harassing the boy while waiting for his mom outside the bank.

However, when the mom stepped out and saw what was going on, she went rogue on the SARS operatives, who all fled, abandoning A.K, after realizing that she’s the wife of a soldier. It took the intervention of passersby to rescue the officer from her.

Movie producer, Funmiade Bank Anthony, has vowed to avoid using churches in her movies following the backlash she recently received from some members of the Celestial Church of Christ.

She had used some people portrayed as members of the church in her recent movie – Juba – which the church members found distasteful.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, she described the inspiration behind the movie as the way human beings might delay in answering God’s call, adding that going forward, she would be more careful about using churches in her movies.

“The movie is about how individuals may feel they still have enough time to achieve what they want before answering the call of God. I have produced several movies, I felt uncomfortable when the message of my movie was misinterpreted by some members of the Celestial Church (of Christ). Everyone cannot interpret a movie the same way.

“I would try to avoid using any church in my movie; not only ‘Celestial Churches’. If I am going to produce any other movie that has to do with a church, I would not use a known church because their doctrine may not be in line with what I am trying to portray in my movie,” she told Saturday Beats.


Speaking about her transition from Nigerian movies recorded in English to Yoruba movies, she stated that she had to make that switch to have more time for her family.

“Growing in the industry is challenging because the competition is high so we have to do something unique to stand out. I have been in the industry for some time now. The growth has been slow; it requires a lot of consistency. It takes a lot of zeal to be able to overcome those challenges. I switched from English to Yoruba movies because I wanted to spend more time with my family. Travelling to the East was stressful for me, so I had to switch,” she said.

Liz Anjorin has another asset in her name, which is a newly built Lagos house she showed off on Instagram.

Sharing a collage of her new house in Eti-Osa Local government area of Lagos State, the actress revealed that she wanted to hide it at first. Liz Anjorin however said that after she found out that her houses are usually ready by June/July, she had to come through with her testimony.

Also recounting the challenges she faced in the past between June-July, she wrote;

Attempts by members of the Muslim sect Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shi’ite on Thursday to cause crisis around the Federal secretariat failed as the police shot in the air to unsettle them.

Passersby and workers were thrown into panic around the area as they ran away from the scene due to the gunshots.

Supporters of detained Shiite leader Ibrahim El- Zakzaky were out again to protest the detention of their leader.

Findings revealed that no one has been lost so far.

Little Eyitayo who went missing during the Otedola bridge fire incident, is yet to be found.

LIB reached out to Eyitayo's aunt, Funmi Balogun, and she confirmed that the little boy and the driver, are yet to be found. Social media was rife this evening with reports that he had been found. It turned out to be fake. The boy that was found is someone else's child.

Eyitayo and his twin sister, Eyitoke, were with their mother and her driver on the Otedola bridge when the explosion occured. As they ran for their lives, his mum carried Eyitoke and asked Joseph to come along with Eyitayo

Sadly both Etitayo and Joseph are nowhere to be found. Anyone with useful information should please call 08033148161 or approach the nearest police station.
