A 22-year-old man, Chukwuebuka Nnaji, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in Madalla.

The suspect had asked the victim to meet him at a hotel at Madalla Junction, claiming he had a gift for her. On getting there, Nnaji dragged her to an isolated area in the bush and had carnal knowledge of her. .

The suspect, who is a shop attendant, said, “I knew she is an underage girl; that was the reason why I have not impregnated her. I want her to be of age, so I can marry her.” .

He added, “I had sex with her because I wanted to deflower her but it has dawned on me that I was simply infatuated.” The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspect would soon be arraigned in court.

A pregnant woman has been killed in Ethiopia’s Oromia regional state, the Addis Standard news portal and a leading activist based in the United States reported on Monday. The incident took place in the town of Qobo in Oromia’s East Hararghe Zone.

The Addis Standard cited neighbours of Ayantu Mohammed Sa’idoo, as confirming her death. She was reportedly ‘abducted’ on Sunday evening, killed for unknown reasons and her body dumped this morning.

The deceased, a mother of one, was said to be a trader in ‘khat’ – a narcotic leaf widely used in the area. A military officer believed to be behind the incident, one Chala Ibrahim Bakaree, has since been placed under police custody, the report added.

Another anonymous source told Addis Standard that there is heightened security in the town ahead of Ayantu’s burial on Tuesday. Residents are afraid that possible protests during the funeral could lead to violence.

The portal’s report came hours after a known pro-democracy activists and Chief Executive Officer of U.S.-based Oromia Media Network, Jawar Mohammed, tweeted about the incident.

According to his version of the incident, soldiers had attempted to rape her but shot her after she screamed for help.

Popular Nigerian singer, Banky W has been signed by the hail-cab service provider UBER as their brand ambassador in Nigeria. He will be the first Nigerian celebrity to be accorded such honour.


The obviously excited entrepreneur took to his Instagram page to make the announcement.

Banky W wrote:

Col. Joseph ‘Hannibal’ Achuzia died on Monday morning at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, Delta State, after a brief illness, according to one of his sons, Mr. Benedict Onyeka Achuzia..

According to Sunnews, already, a 21-gun salute has been shot to traditionally announce the demise of the Ikemba of Asaba to indigenes of the town. The late Col. Joseph Achuzia (rtd.) was a major in the Biafran army during the Nigeria Civil War of 1967 to 1970.

Prior to joining the Biafran Army in May 1967, Achuzia had been a soldier in the Nigerian Army. He fled to the Southeast in fear of anti-Igbo sentiments among the Nigerian Army during the war.

Achuzia was a traditional stakeholder in the affairs of Asaba as he held the title of Ikemba of Asaba till his death.

An Irish porn star who boasts she has had sexual relations with 36 Irish police officers has posted a video on a porn site of herself apparently having sex at the side of the road with an officer.

The woman popularly nicknamed Carla 4 Garda because of her sexual exploit with the Garda (Irish police force), shared an explicit video of her having sex with a man in Garda uniform by the side of an Irish motorway.

Last year, a video of Carla having sex with a Garda went viral online. The amateur porn star has now recorded another explicit video with a Garda and shared online. She previously claimed online that she has a fetish for officers and only has sex with members of the force.

In the video she shared on the porn site, she is seen having sex in a vehicle while pulled over in a "Garda only" space on the side of the motorway, The man in the video appears to have a uniform on, including body protection, a hat, and coat.

Earlier this month, Carla claimed police officers have been sending her racy photos and last year a Garda was suspended after a video emerged of him having sex with her beside his vehicle. The suspended Garda had a partner at the time he had sexual relations with Carla on the road, but Carla said she wasn't aware of that. Carla later apologised openly to the girlfriend.

The Irish Mirror reported that the woman, who has been living in west Cork, feels some "regret" but is also planning for future videos.

Speaking to the Sunday World, she said: "I'm having regrets. I'm one of the most hated women in Ireland right now."

She added: "I do want to apologise to his girlfriend. I did not know about the relationship and it must have been very traumatic for her. My followers keep asking when the next one is coming but I don't think it would be a good idea at the moment. I might do one off-duty garda who isn't in a relationship and in a house this time. I'm still getting garda offers."

Earlier in the week there were reports that Damilola, the first child of Vice Presidnet Yemi Osinbajo's fiance, Seun Bakare, is a Muslim.

Laolu Akande, the spokesperson of Vice President Osinbajo, took to his twitter handle today to clarify on Seun's religion. According to Akande, Seun, who is the son of billionaire businesswoman, Bola Shagaya, is a pastor in the teenage church of RCCG in Abuja.

Seun and Damilola will be getting married in March.
