Hello guys, I'm an HND graduate but yet to go for NYSC as at the time of writing this post (jamb wahala), but will be going to camp soon shaaaa.

I wish to further my academics abroad and also work. My choice countries are USA, Germany and Spain (for now), I'm looking for schools where I can do a top-up BSc pogramme with my HND certificate and then MSc afterwards.

Your suggestions, advices and contributions would be highly appreciated.

Hello house pls I need your honest opinion, I would be done with my HND (Computer Science) in the next few months and by the end of 2022 I would be done with NYSC service, but my challenge now is do I go for PGD then MSC program (this is like 2 & half years in a private institution) OR do I do HND to BSC conversion and then MSC(3 & half years in total) in a private institution (Babcock University to be precise).

My reason for not opting for a public institution is because of strike issues and also if the school is too far from my workplace I may not be allowed to go

Pls kindly advise.

it's time we start fighting against these bolded criminals, through the instrumentality of the available laws of the land.
our inability to take actions against this misfits gives them the boldness to keep scaming innocent suffering masses with impunity.

Honestly, I had this in mind, but anytime I remember how even Bank's take my money and all efforts to reclaim my money ends in vain, I just get perplexed.
Imagine going to the ATM to withdraw 5k from my account and the machine dispenses #1,500 instead of#5,000(500 naira denomination) and even after all the mails and visit to the bank severally, they kept saying the machine paid me completely, I got fed up and left the money for them.

Remembering that alone just weak, moreso, EFCC will not Interval in such matter as I heard that they only deal with fraud cases of 5m and above

or Mtn 3.5k for 10g...u can dial *121# on mtn to kn ow if you sim qualifies for double data, that way, you get 20gig for 3.5k

Oga no mind me jare, I have been working from home since this lock down started, and it has been digging a big hole in my pocket because I now do alot of work on line. So see his advert with the fake proofs he posted, I became gullible and paid the Ahole.

Funny enough, this is my first time of falling victim to these so called scammers ooo, but anyway, I now realize my error and I'm posting this to prevent people from falling victim

Dear all, I want to bring to your notice yet another scammer on WhatsApp who operates a WhatsApp TV, at first if you join his WhatsApp TV, he would post funny stuffs, but later on he would start advertising stuffs, like sales of apparels, codes that give you huge sum of data and other services.

Truth is that of you should patronize him, he'll send you the account to send money to and then claim that he didn't see the money, if you keep pressuring him, he'll then claim that he's just advertising for people and those people have blocked him. After a while, he'll prevent you from seeing his status and move on to other Victims.

I'll post his details here so that people would know he's a scammer to beware of:

Before you all accuse me of trying to buy cheap data for just 3k, I'm currently working from home and my job consumes lots of data which would have been cushioned if I was in the office, and working at home shouldn't mean I should not be able to deliver my service appropriately, hence my reason for trying to buy so much data at a cheap rate.

Also note he also sells clothes, bags and other stuffs, all these are just to scam unsuspecting people.

Like I said, I am currently working from home which consumes lots of my data.

Although, I'm not justifying my actions because, for once in my life I was a bit gullible, I just want to let people know this guy is a scammer and they should not transact with him, I don't want him to scam others like he did to me

how much did it cost you to learn PHP and MYSQL? and the duration.

or more preferably, how much do you think it would cost me to learn PHP Web design on a professional level?

I did web development which included HTML, CSS, Javascript, php & MYSQL(but my major was php and MYSQL), so for the web development course I paid 75k and its a 3months course which ran through Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 3hours on each day.

But this price differs from other computer schools ooooooo, as some schools charge as much as 250k for the same package for 3hours Monday to Friday or Monday, Wednesday & Friday. But trust me, those that charge higher are worth it as some schools will give lunch during your training and their classes have air-conditioners plus after training, the send you for work experience (Industrial Training) .

But the truth is that no institute will teach you everything irrespective of how much you pay, you will have to go and learn the rest on your own as you work.

I honestly followed your various advice strictly (though it was not easy and it cost me alot of cash thanks to my parents too) I can confidently say now that my life is back on track (better than my previous situation).

I went to a computer school in Surulere and learnt web programming (PHP and MYSQL) and at the same time, I also went out to mix with people (thank God I did) in the process of doing that, I met with a man that promised me a job after the completion of my web programming class. He said all he wanted in me was the programmer locked deep inside of me.

I am here to testify that I got the job (although the pay is not that much, but its something), in a learning environment ( meaning that its a career job), I got an apartment (I am now staying alone, feeding and clothing myself and I am also responsible for my upkeep).

I can now see my life has a purpose and a meaning.

I really thank the Almighty God for making me come to this forum to voice out my frustration and sadness (if not I would have probably done something terrible o myself before now) once again I want to really appreciate

As people said venture into I.T trust me that's the future. I envisage that in the near future alot of people will lose their jobs. But IT is here to stay am also into programming been a year now though and believe me am enjoying every bit of it. If you can't self learn like I do go out there and pay for it. Cheers!

It is a good thing that you have passion for I.T. I will advise you enroll in a class where you pay and get trained on you desired skill set. It is true that you can learn any skill free online, but for someone who gets distracted easily, it will be best if you pay to learn. That way, you will be a bit serious with the training, knowing you paid for it; and also, the classes has a course outline that will discipline and guide you.
SO BASICALLY,
*IDENTIFY A SKILL SET OF INTEREST.

*MAKE A DELIBRATE EFFORT TO ACQUIRE ALL YOU NEED TO LEARN THE SKILL.

*ENROLL IN A CLASS (ONLINE OR OFFLINE) AND FOLLOW THE OUTLINE RELIGIOUSLY.

*GET A MENTOR IN THE FIELD YOU HAVE INTEREST IN.

*DEVELOP YOURSELF AS WELL BY USING FREE GUIDES AND TIPS ONLINE.

FINALLY,I will tell you what I told someone who was in your shoe some years back... "your aim should be to learn something new daily. Add 1 new thing to what you already know daily. If you are able to achieve this daily,your life will be much different in a year"

Venture into IT Bro, IT security is the future, you can get a good job anywhere in the world and also start your own Consulting firm if yiu don't want to work under anyone.

Learn programming also if you have passion.

On the other hand, you can get other skills to learn like interior design

Funny enough, IT security is something I have a passion for, but unfortunately, I have not been able to get started, so I saw some advice online that anyone who wants to venture into IT security should first learn programming, so I started learning web development on www.w3schools.com but honestly I couldn't go further as I had a hard time concentrating and remembering the little I had learnt.

Please I would not mind you advising me on how and where to get started. I'm really determined to get back on my feet and get going.

my cousin bro was in ur shoe last yr though he has achieved something better than u. His short story.
He finished sec' school 2009,go further he said No,learn work he said No.He remained that way till 2010,my uncle came nd took him to onitsha where he work in hotel as an attandant.He was literary wise enough to save money he used to buy a tricycle [2) nd give it out on hire pushase while retaining the hotel work.Long story short,he entered tariff with the money generated from the tricycle nd manage in building a SOLID 3BED FLAT.He became fustrated when he lost the work in 2015. he stayed at home for 2yrs more nd in 2017,He made up his mind to go learn patient chemist.He is currently 28yrs nd we are encouraging him to marry this yr.The family are way supportive because he supportd during his earnings.Pls learn from him.Thanks
