Ok,ok ... Time to end this nonsense fight between x5 & 5.1 plus users
So I asked a friend whose uncle works for Nokia as an executive marketer about the surprising price difference between the x5 and the 5.1 plus and here's what his uncle told him PS: if u think it has anything to do with the earpiece or extra LTE bands then you're very mistaken
As we all know, the x5 was originally meant for China as it doesn't come with a pure Android one os like the 5.1 plus which was meant for global use, those that were talking about complaints being more from x5 users were very correct cuz the update wasn't originally meant for the phone, it just got added as a last minute attempt to reach the multitude as many people like bargains and China has more people than most places in the world , so they didn't want them to feel discouraged and left behind, ultimately the x5 will experience more bugs than the 5.1 plus on an average scale and future updates might not necessarily solve most of those problems so he was told. Secondly, the 5.1 plus is expected to last longer than the x5 due to unspecified upgrades to the 5.1 plus before official announcement ... He said he's waiting to see an x5 user who would use the phone for more than a year and a half without countless issues. Thirdly, the warranty also plays a huge part too in the price difference
So there it is people, as dem explain give me na so I take paste am for here sha o the x6 isn't also spared from this news too

I think I have to let go this Nokia x6 .....Samsung a30 2019 should be better

Back in the days, there's nothing U'll tell me dat will make me leave Nokia phones. I bought & changed Nokia phones like toothbrushes until they changed to lumia. My mom dat loved Nokia phones den currently said: "my son U'll have to do a lot of convincing to make me buy a Nokia device again."
U guys are making some of us here see dat Nokia devices are worth buying but all these arguments will not help. I have checked the Nokia community 4 complaints & solution. I didn't see X5 & X6 users dia. I mostly saw 5.1 plus & 6.1 plus users mostly complaining about charging port problems & bug issues after pie update.
As 4 me, I no hold cheese like the way e been dey b4 wey I dey fit change fone anyhow. Now I get to save 4 the fone. So since I dey save 4 a new fone, I dey contemplate between Huawei Y9 2019 or Nokia X6.
The reason I would probably choose Y9 over the X6 is because of the dual Sim & dedicated SD card slot.
I don't really care about updates cos after sometime person go dey think to change phone wen dem don produce another fone with good specs & good price.
Come to think of it, I no dey see any complaints 4 this forum about the X6 or the 6.1 plus.

The key difference is there's no Google play service in X5. Google, of course, does not in China. That's why you won't see Android one on the pack.
The solution then is that when you buy from some sellers on Jumia, like AprilStory, the global version of the android software is installed before shipping.
And all you'll do update to Android pie and enjoy the phone like 5.1 plus.

And then again, SAVEDBABA got his without Google play service but was still able to install play store and operate it normally.

After your update, your phone is automatically 5.1 plus as you'll see when you go to settings.

The X5 is the China version.
5.1 plus is the global version. The difference is only the non availability of Google products in China.
Both phones are one and the same.

So I finally got my x6 after waiting forever.. can't get my hands off this phone, i got the blue variant. It's a beautiful phone and I'm still trying to adjust to its size because I'm coming from a big screen and size. Big ups to Nokia..

Please which network are you using to browse , I want to know if it support mtn and glo 4G lte and please how is the camera ..
