daveP: minus the bolded. They engage, but few have it in them. Na so boss mi.. Personally, I believe that if we argue from now till 2moro using Dora Akunyili, Okonjo Iweala and other prominent female Nigerians, or using a lady who made a CGPA of 4. 99 as a stance, it's will never change the fact that men can do better than women virtually in everything on the facet of the each. It's a mystery bro |

AncientJerk: The opinion of the o.p is perfectly reasonable and does have some body of supporting evidence. I have personally observed that the vast majority of well educated girls not only do not have much knowledge but are also quite disinterested in acquiring knowledge of certain topics most especially political ones. Given the fact that politics is pretty much inextricably linked with our day to day lives, i have wondered why women are so generally disinterested in it.
I usually generally only talk (on a deeper level) with university educated ladies/young ladies and i usually always throw them a test question on a political subject or on something that pertains to every day life. On one occasion, i asked this girl "what do you think of the situation in Gaza?" (during the last major conflict) and she replied asking me what Gaza was. This was a medical student. However that's not to say that all male students her age would be completely clued in on such topics but to be that uninformed is inexcusable in my opinion. This young lady went further to state proudly that the she only reads news on subjects such as the lifestyles of the rich and famous. I was appalled but then began to observe a trend. Most girls do not have anything very tangible to say when you ask them questions about their future and how they plan to change the world. I have come up with following stereotyped observation that may explain this behavior.
1. Nigerian ladies are more self centered and thus serious issues which do not directly affect them are of less interest to them. More so when they are being provided for by a husband or father.
2. Nigerian ladies have the underlying assumption that certain things are a man's job.
3. Nigerian ladies no matter how educated they are, tend to hold on to their beauty (if they have any) as their source of sustenance. A Nigerian lady no matter how rich and powerful she is (especially while young) will always aim to get married to someone richer than her if she has good looks.
4. Our male-dominant culture reinforces this paradigm.
Understand that the point here is not that women are not intelligent or that women are not capable of high performance in demanding situations; the point is that women largely do not show interest nor insight into the less academic everyday affairs of life where "street smarts" are of greater value than "book smarts"
lastly do remember that stereotypes exist because a significant number of the population have exhibited the stereo-typed trait; however, there will always be exceptions to the rule which do not negate the rule. Woooooooow !!!

Borrusia: It is quite obvious and peculiar that it is only the so called feminist that failed to acquiesce themselves to the fact that men are the most ultimate and special species in the milky way vis-a-vis somewhat blindly prolly to defend their over-bloated ego.
Who invented law, cars, electricity, fridge, shoes, clothes, houses, stove, gas-cooker, softdrinks and alcohol, plane, bicycle, accommodation of pets, space explore, computers, cell-phone, education, biro, and every damned thing Human can't do without! Is it females?
Though females to are smart and unique in their own ways, but if placed on a juxtaposition with the masculine gender; the result will be handicapped. Even the bra, pants and sanitary pad worn by ladies were made by men.. Hehehe |

Bonethugss: Even using Nigerias ministerial slot has a random case study, how many male ministers have made A lasting impact, the average Nigerian can remember names like Oby Ezekwesily, Okonjo, Dora to mention a few, still the most active and intelligent ministers till date. Lemme correct something, this is an argument and has nothing whatsoever to do with your educational credentials. That one bags a degree doesn't mean he should make a comment that would make you pat him on the back. Remember we all are entitled to our opinions
Back to the matter, you mentioned Okonjo, Dora and a few just to make a stance. As a matter of fact, If you want to really want to use their success, impacts and accumulation of wealth as a yardstick for intelligence. For every successful women like Dora and Okonjo, we have thousands of more successful men who changed the face of the nation

AmaechiLinus: Women can never be equal with man no matter what...... D saying "what man can do woman can do it even more better" was only made just to encourage women. Let's face reality here, how often can women do what men can do better ?
The saying "what a man can do, a woman can do better" does not happen often
What is the ration of woman that can drive better than men ?
What is the ratio of female footballers that are better than men ?
What is the ratio of women that succeed more than men ?
What is the ratio of women that are more innovative than men ?
My bro, one just have to keep quite, or else you might be tagged a misogynist |

all4naija: Bwahaha... That would be ignorance on your side to think this way though. There are many factors which contributed to that. The fact that it has not been scientifically proven to be as you said makes your statement very questionable. Asians were also thought to be unintelligent compared to white people in the past but today they usually come top on the intelligence graph. I'm stating the pure fact cos I don't shy away from the truth
Whether it's scientifically proven or not, Africans can never measure up to white.. **I don't want you to believe this assertion** |

all4naija: I think women are equally knowledgeable as men.African society has done a lot of harm to the female gender and restricted to home. Engaging men in argument might be seen as disrespect. I bet to disagree bro. We aint talking about discrimination here so let's take African society out of this
For as long as the world exists, women will never be as knowlegeable as men, that's the bitter truth bro. Let's stop deceiving ourselves bro
Have you ever wondered why whites are better than Africans in all ramification? No matter how hard we try, we can never measure up to the whites. It's a mystery bro
If someone tells you we will measure up to white in terms of knowledge, dat person just dey console himself ni |

Another brainwashed sexist on the loose. smh.
@bold imagine the insult! i pity the wife you marry and daughter you will raise. If you even have any of them to begin with, carrying this your stone age mentality and foolish ignorant statement around.
I'm not surprised you are saying such, with the dirty meaningless stereotypical threads you create around this forum about ladies. We shouldn't expect less from you
The way God made what?
pls spare me that dirty nonsense and crap.
if not for this silly religion and culture of a thing that puts women down i don't think we will be having this kinda talk at the moment.
intelligence or being knowledgeable doesn't belong to any gender.
Please reason with your brain and not the thing dangling between your legs! I don't trade words with fools like you with bereft reasoning who use vulgar words during arguments. I argue with those who make valid points
Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. I only said the bitter truth and if you find it very uncomfortable, kindly go and jump into the lagoon.
If I were to be a female, it wouldn't stop me from saying the truth. Now that you have gotten my attention, are you happy now ?
