First flight ever: Lagos to Abuja (Max Air) 2022 I entered the plane excitedly. I was meant to seat on a Seat E. But was so carried away I sat on Seat F so I can have a window view. The original owner of the seat came and drew my attention to the fact that I have her seat. Within a second, she just waived - a signal that she was ok exchanging seat with me. Time to buckle my belts, and I realised I couldn't figure it out. I had to turn to my neighbour again, who by now knew I was a first time flier by my anxiety over figuring the belt. She gestured to me on how to fix the belt and I did accordingly. I was really excited to see just how beautiful abuja's landscape was from the air. First International Flight. Lagos to Atlanta USA. (Delta Airlines) 2022 I entered the massive Airbus A300 series double aisle plane and could not ignore the huge disparity between a local flight and Intl flight experience. The plane was rugged, the air conditioning was perfect. Everything about the flight was beautiful. I didn't get a window seat, so. after take off I searched out the hostesses and relocated myself to window seat. Even though I didn't see the lift off from Lagos. I couldn't imagine missing the touch down Atlanta. It was soooo beautiful! The lightning, highways of Atlanta are so nice! Touching down, we hovered in the air for a while before we finally touched down. Exciting experience! |

Such good news. God bless the IDF. I'm really glad the NOA lady is back alongside all the kidnapped men who sadly have not been talked about enough. Hoping they are able to get Kfir Bibas, the one year old boy alongside everyone else. |
Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40) were rescued in a special operation by the IDF, ISA and Israel Police from 2 separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat after being kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival. They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the 'Sheba' Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations. We will continue to make every effort to bring the hostages home. https://x.com/IDF/status/1799392501586952256?t=WVzm-QEkN6zE4Sd9yqpg_w&s=19 Lalasticlala nglmod myndd44 |

Israel is likely going to respond very forcefully. And this may likely spiral into a full blown conflict. I believe it's best Israel faces off with Iran, Hezbollah once after all, just as they dealt with Egypt. Particularly, they'd need to destroy Iran's nuclear sites. You can't sleep in peace with an enemy like Iran. |

"The truth is not that humans deliberately make idols, it is that idols are automatically created in the human heart. Idolatry can be said to be natural to the fallen man, this is what John Calvin meant when he said the human heart is a pepertual idol factory" - Rev Matt Ryman. Over the past few days, I have felt God's leading to write on idolatry. This morning, the Holy Spirit told me that the reason many prayers go unanswered is because of the idolatry of the heart. Ezekiel 14:3 How do you know if you are in idolatry or at risk for it? The way to answer this question is to prayerfully do a sincere, heart assessment. The following questions can help you access yourself and those close to you. 1. Am I willing to wait to get it? Inpatience can be an indication of idolatry. Because of this, the Holy Spirit puts us in waiting season(s) to help us master the ability to overcome our legitimate heartfelt desires. You have to master contentment with God's timing concerning matters of your life. Anything you must get immediately, and at your own terms is likely an idol. Think of a man who INSIST he must engage in premarital sex. This is a man who has accepted pleasure an idol. If one journeys with this sort of person in marriage, one will suffer. 2. Do I do it compulsively or can't live without it? Compulsion is an indication that a thing has been positioned in the heart as a god. Think of good things like movies, games, food, football viewing, alcohol and social media. They are not all bad, but can you live without them, even momentarily? The moment certain affections take priority over work, family, your mental health, devotional time with God, it is because they have become idols. If you learn to pray in the Holy Ghost and fast occasionally, God will automatically regulate these things. For some affections he'd lessen your desire so you can live by choice. For some other affections, the Holy Spirit will cut them off completely ane replaces them with Godly affections. We are only permitted to be obsessed about the Lord our God. 3. Do I put my trust in it as source? As humans we all have the natural abilities to put our strength and confidence in carnal things. Our career, ambition, money, connection and abilities can easily become the idol we live for. It is important to know that the source of your trust is the source of your pride and boastings. God must always be your priority. Don't build God into your schedule, build your schedule into God. Remember that God can give us the grace to succeed effortlessly with things that demand the regrettable sacrifices of others. God can make you successful in your career and finances without you having to make the unfortunate tradeoffs others make. And God will not share His glory with the idols of your heart. Make sure to always give glory to God, whatever you possess or accomplish. If for anything, God gave you life. And without life, you can accomplish nothing. For that reason alone, all your accomplishment should be credited to his name and glory alone. By Ifelola Olaleye |
Romans 9:33 NKJV As it is written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” There's a way God has designed the worship experience that guarantees your offense, if you are not fully submitted in mind and in truth. This much is revealed in Abraham's test in Genesis 22. The trial of Abraham was a trial of offense. If Abraham wasn't truly submitted to God, he would have left that place of instruction and despised God for what he was asked to do. Failure begins with Offense. The city of Gadarenes failed the test of offence as they evicted Jesus immediately his deliverance of the demoniac impacted their economy. Mathew 8:28 - 34 John the baptist stumbled upon that same rock of offense. To Him, Jesus didn't meet his expectation of who Israel's savior should look like. Mathew 11:6. Blessed is he who accepts that God’s plan and His will for us sometimes don’t meet our human expectations, even in painful and humiliating trials. Nplmod Lalasticlala |
Israel has made critical mistakes in how this war is being implemented. The commanders are clearly fighting with emotions rather than with the head. They need to be strategic and be careful in how these war is prosecuted or they'd lose immense support across the globe. The killing of those aid workers made no sense whatsoever. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel continue to protect the nation of Israel. |

"With the permissive will, you may get to your destination. But not without scars." The perfect will of God is God's preordained plan for your life. It includes details such as when to be born, when to die, what ministry to pursue, kind of person to marry, gifts of the Holy spirit to operate etc. According to Living Praise Chapel, Nanaimo the Permissive will is that which is granted by God to satisfy the desires in the hearts of believers. This usually occurs when there is a desire or craving by believers for that which is outside God’s pre - ordained design. Usually we fall into the permissive will when we don't fully trust, have not fully surrendered or still live with a superior flesh. An example is 1 Sam 8. The people of God insisted they wanted a King, and God made it clear that Israel had rejected Yahweh as its king. God then gave Israel kings, but it didn't take long to see that Israel made a terrible mistake. The kings of Israel led Israel in the path of idolatry, death and destruction. Israel as a nation could never rise above the spirituality of its own Kings. In the second instance we go to the book of Numbers 32:1. Three tribes of Israel; Mannassah, Reuben and Gad refused to take land portion from the God apportioned land of Israel, instead they took from what is today now part of Jordan. They did this because they felt the land they found was better for their cattles. Generations later, the descendants of these tribes suffered immensely from marauding attackers. By 1 Sam 11:2 a marauding attacker had removed one eye from every person who lived in those communities. I believe God let Israel's land start after crossing the river Jordan (west) so that the river can serve as a natural protection, which an invading force will need to first cross. Thus eliminating any element of surprise in warfare. ENDEAVOUR TO SEE WHAT GOD IS SEEING. Kenneth Hagin once shared a story where he was asked to come pray for a 70 year old man who was dying on the hospital bed. Kenneth Hagin got to the hospital and laid hands upon the sick man. Immediately, he felt his hand moved away from the man's head. So he tried again twice. Each time his hands moved away from the sick man's head. So he went to prayer to ask God what was going on. And the Holy Spirit explained to Kenneth Hagin. "Over the past thirty years I have waited on him(the sick man). He has never lived two weeks [uprightly]. But now he has rededicated his life to Me. This is the best time for him to come home." Hagin understood God's wisdom. God was recalling this person home as an act of his intervention, love and mercy. This time, Hagin went back to the man and lifted him in prayer. Over midnight, the man passed on to glory singing Hymns to the Lord. We see a story play out in the book of Isaiah, God told Isaiah to tell Hezekiah about his impending death. Hezekiah prayed that this conclusion be reversed. And truly God added Hezekiah 15 more years! The part of this story that is often not discussed was the impact of Hezekiah's extra 15 years. Two years after Hezekiah's sickness had passed, he gave birth to Manassah, the most evil king to ever rule Israel. And the kingship of Manassah brought Israel into severe judgement. This is not to say we can't pray to recover from sickness. However, the Holy Spirit will always alert you when what you ask is going to have negative consequences alongside. By Ifelola Olaleye. |
