I dropped out of school because I never like the course I was studying and mind you, my dad chose that course for me when I was still 16 and naive, I never wanted to study that course..I just wanted to be obedient so I went for it only to realise it was not for me as time went on.

Hello guys...so for those of you who are familiar with Lagos, please help me analyse this..

I recently gained admission into LASU to resume school probably next Month.. I am 21 years old, a full blooded introvert( boarding school from jss 1 to SS 3, private Catholic university from 100l to 300l then dropped out) and I currently stay with my family in fectac 6th avenue.
So I started planning on how to secure off camp accommodation at LASU(no on campus accommodation in LASU) so I can at least move away from the kind of life I'm used to for a start.. But can you believe what my dad told me, he said that can never happen, that I would have to be going to school from home(festac) to school (OJO road) every day because according the him "I want to go and be fornicating there. For those of you that are familiar with Lagos road please can you help me comprehend this
Because I don't understand. Who does that?

And mind you even at 21, I don't have a single male friend, not to talk of female friend. I don't like talking to people and I hate visitors. I don't like going our during day time, only at night (for like five minutes).. I have been lonely and isolated all my life even in my family (because I just hate it here).

I once read somewhere on the internet where he once said that when he dies, his money and wealth will not go to any of his children that he is going to will everything to charity so that his children can learn to make their own money in life and not be dependent on his, something like that...

I've heard my dad often say something similar too.. He normally tells us of how he trained him self through out his university days without the help of anyone and that we should not depend on his wealth because he might surprise us, that when he dies, he might sell all his properties and look for one Church to give all his money that we should go and work for our own (I know he is indirectly talking to me as the first son).. I'm not saying people like my father or Jackie chan are bad parents but here are my questions

Is it really necessary ? Or is it the right way to teach your children?
If you had a dad like the aforementioned, would you allow such ?
