1afrika: learn how to be couth, boy! Saying they were not prepared and confused is inappropriate, don't forget, you have the right to reject your results and the prize (if you win any). I've gone through your posts, conquerors don't have your kind of reactions to issues. Grow up. Meanwhile, the efforts of the sponsor(s) and moderators of this event are appreciated but this edition is a downgrade from the last edition which I hope will be worked on during the subsequent editions. The moderators, in their bid to ensure the best winners emerge seemed unjust to some participants. If those whose 3rd tests were inconclusive can have their 1st and 2nd used, those that missed the third have the right to use 1st and 2nd then (I did the 3 tests). Your rule made 3rd test sacrosanct, yet you create escape route for those who didn't complete it. Naturally, people will allege favoritism for some selected people. Also, the idea of fixing a cut off for tests of this purpose is inappropriate EXCEPT if you don't care if winner(s) don't emerge. It's either you fix cut off marks after each stage of the test to accommodate your desired number of participants or be rigid with your set cut off and deal with the number that beat it. Just chill bro, I only stated my observation due to the irregularities which has made every process look vague, in the bid to be fair one must not tamper with standard and laid procedures. It has nothing to do with my mindset, what I said is very obvious and I never undermined the efforts of the moderators. This is a competition,an open one and not some indoor games thing. It deserves every bit of transparency and organization. |

sagaciousblog: that's very true.. They deserve a thumb up for trying to give everyone a fair playing ground. You call this a fair playing ground? Say the truth for once, the organization is a total flaw! I had my doubt the very first moment the pass mark was scaled down to 45! ...the. moderators said it doesn't matter because the first test score would be used cumulatively. Now my first test which I did averagely well had been trashed! Even if one person had reached the 60pass mark they never should have compromised that, it speaks standard and transparency! And which competition gives it's selection criteria after the competition is over? |

Since you said that we can make suggestions regarding the competition, I formally appeal that the mathematics questions be reduced or even removed in the "Stage-2". This is because I observed(after taking the Stage 1 test) that the mathematics questions consumed too much time and it probably isn't fair to those who aren't studying or haven't studied(at O'level) maths related sciences.
I appeal that the questions be more general IQ/Aptitude related for Stage-2. Apart from the maths, the test was excellent, though very engaging. I hope you consider my suggestion.
Thank You. I say no to that mathematics is the only reason I scaled through and that gives standard to the test if |

Nelsizzy: No chills man. You scored up to 60 na I did, scored 70%.... leaving the cut off at 60 ensures lesser competition for the next stage, I am just trying to be a survivor nothing more. |
