So the interview took less than 30mins (CHC, Accra)

They just needed to clarify my work experience, ensure we still have enough funds and to be sure I'm ready to reenter the workforce, as I had taken time off work for a while to take care of family

I was asked for originals of evidence of salary payments (printed for over 5yrs) , payslips (gave them abt 22 months) , Bank stmts for last 6 months.

She asked questions about my work experince using each description for my NOC (2171), asked abt projects I handled and client, some otger fetails abt my salary, asked abt studies...went thru all docs and said she was satisfied

I was expecting her to apologise for taking me all the way to Accra but I didn't get that undecided grin

She asked if I wanted my meds extended, I said NO(expires July)

She said I'd have to go back to send our passports, I gently raised them up to show her I had them....then she said "photos"? and I answered that I had everything....she was like wow

They had a system downtime, so she asked that I get schedule A for my spouse across to them and pick up our passports by 9am next morning, if it fit into my schedule...so we agreed

She thanked me for being organised and we engaged in small talk and said our goodbyes

I picked up passports next morning

The end.....

Note: I had "ready to finalise" on my noted since last year September but sadly, London did not treat some of our files until February.

Well, i believe it came at the appointed time...

Interview calls are not to reject an application...just to address concerns...

Canadianfly:
Congrats. As someone already said, please share your interview story. Where did you have to appear? Lagos or Accra?
I see it took over a month to get interview call, did you have to send them a reminder or they called you on their own? I know some folks that have been notified for interview since Feb, and they're yet to be contacted with the details. Thanks.

This sounds like a system glitch...you may want to call CIC & also send a mail to them with screen shots explaining....

Hello everyone, gurus in the house please i need your opinion

Add-On Kit. Please does anyone know what this means or has anyone see this message before?
Thank you

To add to A14's post, someone was also asked for reference letter regarding NYSC experience that was included under personal history....so, it is highly recommended to prepare for such ADRs, should the need arise...

A14:
Late post
Thanks guys for all the plenty congratulations lol.

Plenty has been said about London VO let me share what I know it may help someone.

First of all if you've had a visa refusal you MAY most likely end up in London. Those guys are not like Ottawa, they scrutinize most applications. That being said you MAY want to be proactive and submit things like your payslips and employment letter (of course your reference letter is a must).

You won't be rejected cos you dint submit them. If they need any, they'll ask you for it, the thing is it MAY delay your application by some days.

If you don't have your payslips I'll advice you write an LOE when you're submitting your application so they don't bother asking you for it.

I was asked to submit proof of funds again so please keep the 'dough' intact, with London VO anything is possible.

If you're self employed get your tax documents ready cos they'll most likely ask for it, some that are not self employed were asked for this also.
Someone (self employed) was asked to show example of what his company had done (I have no idea what they wanted).

Well this seems to be the trend for now. It may change soon, you never know.

And please if you're a lazy reader like me use the search bar, it would help you a lot. Any issue you're having I can bet more than 10 people here have had it and have gotten solutions from our seniors.

All the best

Ha, good to know cos some ppl I know are planning to delay their landing for a more favourable weather around March...

salford1:
Springs starts in march but the temperature is still going to be in the negatives and low single digits. There would be occasional snowfall too. It really starts feeling like spring towards the end of April and early May. Summer would be here again faster than you can say jack robinson.lol
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by toyogirl: 8:37am On Nov 03, 2017
Hi Flosk,

Marvi isn't self employed ooo. ....His LVO was London & they check EVERYTHING! So they found out his Facebook account had 'self employed' (you know how you don't pay attention to some things if you're not so much into social media)....so they asked for explanations, alongside his tax clearance and co, just to be sure.....

@ Marvi, you owe me undecided grin

flosk:
Congratulations @esosa.

@marvi4real please respond on the issue of self employed, how you went about it, how long it took etc

Thanks

Some are very conscious of "the village people" and don't want to get "evil eyes" ....lol *runs away*

salford1:
Yes. There are lots of Nigerians in brandon and winnipeg but they are not willing to share their experiences of living in manitoba. I was meant to attend a wedding in brandon last month but missed it due to other pressing issues i had to attend to.

Also there are lots of naija landing everyday. 2 friends landed in Ontario just yesterday and many more are landing before the end of the year. Some are on Nairaland, but just as you mentioned, they are not willing to share their experiences. Even on this thread and the other one, when most land, they just lock up. oh well.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by toyogirl: 6:57pm On Sep 14, 2017
This is my interpretation as well...

impish:
If you have been refused visa, please state so.

However being refused admission is to have boarded a plane and reached the destination country, and be turned back at the border for a variety of reasons. This is different from having been refused a visa.

Hope this helps!

Hahahaha. ...I'm guilty of the act too...I remember the days b4 I got married, I had spoken to this particular guy on phone a couple of times and he had a very sweet voice. In my mind, I 'mapped' a face to the voice as usual....The day I eventually saw him, I wanted to faint cheesy cheesy cos the voice was waaaayyyyy sweeter than the mapping!

The sad part of the story is that I was so disappointed with what I saw that the guy noticed it and voiced it out... grin...and then I felt embarrassed..lol

Because Godisawesome, they were able to meet Drhopeful who like a Ballerz gave a Billy treatment.

All these happened while we all wait to receive a Judgment that has seen a Blackbuddy and a Merrymum (40manlappy and Mummyjaygirls) spending Winter with JustinTrudeau.
