anything from anywhere can be used negatively.

your friend may have been pushed to her limit, but if you're a christian (?)  what you could do is provide a listening ear and pray with her so she can let go of the anger and begin to look at other ways to handle the crisis.

@tpia, am sorry for the attack, but u wont blame me cos these insults nairalanders were unleashing on themselves is way too unacceptable. Dont attack my parents, they re not tribalistic, as a matter of fact they love my guy as a person. i think they re being protective and as well want the best for me.this is becos of what most ladies face being married outside their tribe. What i need is a sincere brotherly and sisterly advice on what to do and not these thrash. God !!!!!! People can be mean. I wonder if we're at war here. If anybody havee scores to settle with another, i dont think this is the best avenue to do that. God help us.
if your feel your parents are looking out for you, then why assume others who have the same pov as your parents, arent? huh

just asking.

but the main thing here is you're an adult and free to do whatever you think is in your best interest.

^^i just checked that verse as well, and it seems that was actually done to the people who later prayed that prayer.

verse 8 of psalm 137:

Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is the one who repays you
according to what you have done to us
they were asking for vengeance.

Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.

2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

the essence of what Jesus himself taught,  is to love your neighbour as yourself.

and in the new testament, we are also exhorted with 1 Cor 13.

certain things are really too deep to just be handled lightly, so its better to simply stick with the essence of what Jesus himself said.

there are principalities and powers governing this earth which no human can fully comprehend.

some of the prayers in psalms can only be understood by someone who has experienced what the writer went through.

there are certain heart cries that come out of extreme suffering and despair, and those are very dangerous.

personally, i find revelation far more scary than psalms sha.

the book of daniel also.

we tend to see everything in life as child's play or a fairytale when in actual fact what is going on is more deadly and banal than anyone wants to admit.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

all the enemy is here to do is to kill and to destroy
true.

its also possible what the writer mentioned was what his enemies were planning for him. Or had already done.

take the case of Jesus for example.

Because that he remembered not to show mercy
remember to show mercy.

some have entertained angels unawares.

colourstruck nigerians are so annoying.

they now try to cover up by shouting butt and bosom.

very irritating.

you already have your own threads full of s.oft p.orn- nobody is disturbing you there, but you must always constantly try to impose your personal taste and lifestyle on others.

very narrow minded group.
