Onila If indeed you're female, in what way exactly are you preparing yourself for marriage, because this one where all you do is park on nl all day and open threads to discuss those you are monitoring, doesnt sound like someone who ever plans to interact in a normal manner in the real world. I think the christians on nl should also think of blessing seun with some of their money, true the section is often nothing more than an anti-christian watering hole, however, the bible says if we like only those who like us, then what exactly have we gained. Show some appreciation and sow positive seeds into his life so he can also know its not only about talk. In addition, there is a nairaland affiliated organization which provides assistance to the underpriviledged, they also need donations. |

Unless someone lives on an island with population 1, i think everybody knows you will meet people wherever you are, why should the fact that they had schoolmates and class mates generate so much fear, anxiety and apprehension unless there is something amiss in the relationship? What exactly are your reasons for dating the person? Because you love her or because there's something else you're looking for? I think you should try your luck with a non- nigerian woman. Nigerian women have enough on their plate already without you adding to it with this type of unknown arrangement. Regardless what nigerian celebrities and underworld kingpins may be telling you and the general public, the culture frowns on having kids out of wedlock. If perhaps your own culture does not, then look for someone from there specifically and do not present yourself as speaking in general. When these kids grow up and get called various names by folks like you, you will not be there to protect them and no explanation about why you decided to burden their life in this manner, will be acceptable. |
