Of Poor standards kee... Most of them (if not all) have both international and local certifications. Perhaps they need to understand the perculiar African skin ![]() Dannylux: It depends on individuals. A person might use it with no allergic reaction but someone else may do the same and all hell would be let loose. Mild Soap would be ideal for the purpose but in case the foul smell persists, I would recommend a physician (gynaecologist) expertise. Most of the intimate wash products are of poor standard, hence, I wouldn't recommend someone to use it. |
Since it relates to the skin, perhaps the advice of dermatologists is preferrable!Ishilove: Ha, lailai o. Mba, I no go gree that one o. Haba! I am still trying to cope with thought of using mere water, and now you're saying we shouldn't even use our fingers to scrub?? |
Trust me, you deserve an intimate wash FREE, for taking time to explain ![]() Dannylux: Not exactly. Some of the microbes in the mouth and genitals exhibit symbiotic association naturally but there is need to keep their population in check. That calls for the need to wash it regularly. Of course, it's practically impossible to totally terminate the population of microbes down there because there millions of them but what I'm emphasizing is the need to reduce the quantity. |
Please tell us more. For how long have you been using it? What is the price? Is it scarce in the market~Lagos, Abuja, PH, etc? Have you used another type before? kaima1984: I use summer eve,I can't do without it,am 100% covered,I dnt like perceiving an unpleasant odor frm my pussy,SUMMER EVE is d best |
LoL! Naah you be first naa... ...As a case study Ooo ![]() UcLloyd: Liars! Majority of u females saying u don't use cuz ur clean down there are lying jor! How about I do the verification? Who's 1st? |
Ask ask your Babes naa ![]() mencade5: i dey come ooo. But wetin intimate wash wash mean sef? |
I like your analogy. Thus, in simple words, should an intimate wash be used or otherwise for the external region ONLY, rather than mild soaps for protection? Dannylux: It's been awful long. Hope you're good? |
Oga Men..., As somebody wey get diverse Babes... ....Abeg wetin you think about intimate wash Oooo ![]() #Yourexperiencecounts! mencade5: |
Ohh...please could you tell us more? Thanks for sharing! Yoney007: Remember buying one way back in school....Thank God for the eye-opening I got early. #TeamWater |
Sorry about that! Please could you list a few of those used in the past. lynpetra: Very bad indeed! |
WOW! Naa everything dey cos cancer these days ![]() I will not be surprised if I am told tomorrow that drinking both chilled and warm water causes Cancer in the human body system ![]() Meanwhile, I will check out Femfresh (please what's the market price and place to buy?) to know why it's so! Perhaps it was not made for the average African female! Julie9093: Same here, used femfresh before but each time i use it i feel uncomfortable. But i think only water is ok cos i heard from a friend recently dat washing with soap can cause cancer of d vagina. |
Thanks for sharing! The V has a normal pH value of =3.8-4.5. An intimate wash is supposed to always keep it at that level to make it active for protection against infections/unwanted bacteria. Even mild soaps have highly sensitive chemicals and that's why they are not advisable. oyinbogirl: Nah I dont use intimate washes, I use soap and water and bi carb. I think those washes interfere with balance. Watching your personal health is better too, as well as knowing your own body well, watching what you eat plays a big part |
Doctors are being carful in recommending any substance to their patients which they don't know well. Interestingly, some of these doctors are the brains behind intimate wash. Basically, for the sake of protection/prevention against infections, an intimate wash is very handy, unlike warm water, when out of home...don't you think? Thanks for sharing! justi4jesu: My doctor advised against using feminine wash too. |

Thanks for sharing! Detailed research studies were done before the launch of same many years ago? I wonder why these negative reactions to it by many females! If you have a personal experience, please share as we are thinking that many are just being careful/afraid so that they do not regret their actions later. Coldfeet: Intimate washes are NOT good for you! They interfere with the bodies natural flora and cause more harm than good in the long run! Plain water is just about all you need to wash down there not even ordinary toilet soap should be used there no mater how mild! Hairs trap dirt and sweat so shave off or trim your pubic hair regularly! And if you feel you need more than just water and disinfectant due to odour I'd advise you tackle the source of that odour first than trying to mask it with harmful intimate washes. |
Hi there, Yes! The V is self~cleansing naturally. However, this product is designed to clean up the external part of it ONLY. Would you say it's NOT BETTER than MILD SOAPS? We need to understand why many females have negative views about it. Could this be due to ignorance/misuse ![]() Doc. Adray: |
nanalady: I use just soap nd water. Thanks! Please have you ever used an intimate wash before, or do you know someone who does? This will help you make a better comparison ...Like between ceiling/standing fan and Air Conditioner, or Laptop and IPad/Tablet ![]() |
ibitomisi: We won't learn that Fast! untill something strikes.Sorry, this is not clear! |
Many thanks! Don't you think that most people might not know how to use it well? It is meant to clean up the external region ONLY. Would you recommend it to a love one if you find an effective one? Have you personally used any before? Please share your experience; and those of others that you have come across. It still baffles me why many do welcome it in Nigeria! zeezahbee: most intimate wash (douching) if not all has a high pH and it can upset the natural balance of your most intimate area. |

butterflyy: All I do is wash thoroughly wth just warm water n once or twice in a month sit on a bucket of warm antiseptic water for 5 to 10mins. Always go to bed on my birthday suit n I av got no cause for all d drama. Thanks for sharing! Yes! I'm aware that warm water is recommended, but don't you think it's not good allowing steam go into you from down there? Have you ever used an intimate wash? What's your view about it in general? |
Thanks for sharing! It is said that mild soaps do not make it have its normal pH value which ranges 3.8-4.5...that an intimate wash does more than this as it keeps the place at its normal pH value, fights infection, makes you look fresh, etc. vivalableue: I am against intimate washes for 1 simple reason... Your body doesn't need to mask bad odors. Non-fragrant, mild soap is enough to keep you clean while maintaining the healthy amount of flora contained in your female Instruments. Simple, cotton underwear, or at least breathable fabric is recommended. Discharge is healthy during your cycle, from ovulation to pms to menstruation. It should not smell foul... if it does then consider that you have an infection. There are some home-tests available at the pharmacy to see which type of infection you have... from UTI to yeast. If you mask the smell of infection you can be doing more harm than good. I was once a firm believer of Summer's Eve wash...until I fell violently ill from a sharp pain in my flank... turned out I had a kidney infection, which started as a UTI. I live in Canada, the treatment was fast, and clean. God forbid my sisters in other places suffer from the same fate. |
cdamsel: I don't do intimate wash,i guess I have never had reason to use 'em.Thanks for taking time to comment. Don't be so surprised as research is our forte ![]() |
