1. Admission into MBBS everywhere is tough and highly competitive. This is an absolute truth. So, irrespective of the school you choose, you must work super-hard to get in.

2. Anyway, I'd suggest you choose UniAbuja in your application.

3. Making such a heavy change in your career simply because of your WASSCE result wasn't a good idea. The resource and stress you put in this your B. Tech program would have been invested in another attempt...or something else. The objective is not to "leave home quickly" but to "leave home when you've gotten what you want...or something close to it.."

As someone hu started following this thread from my jss3 class av always had great joy and passion for medicine but in my waec ssce result i got a D in physics and had to change from unillorin mbbs to FUTMINNA BIOCHEMISTRY WHILE AWAITING MY NECO RESULT ...NW AV BEEN GIVEN ADMISSION INTO B.TECH BIOCHEM FOR FIVE YEARS,,BUT I JST HAVE THAT PART OF ME THAT WANTS TO TRY JAMB AGAIN AND ACTUALLY TAKE A SHOT AT MEDICINE. AM CURRENTLY IN SCHOOL AND ALTHOUGH NY PARENTS WONT SUPPORT MY PROSPECTS OF TAKING IT AM SURE DEY WILL B GLAD IF I GET ARMISSION NOW MY PROBLEM IS I DONT KNW D UNSTITUTION TO PICK FOR MBBS IN TERMS OF

there is nothing much to tell you... But will say this biochem in fut is very very interesting and demanding... Let me say this i give it up to their lecturers they are top notch.... But let me brief you about some courses you're gonna offer during your year one first semester.... Before you resume try to equip yourself with some basic mechnics, try to know something about dimension. Scalars and vectors quantities, gravitational field, and motion, try your possible best in equipping yourself with some basic fundermental advanced mathematics topics like mapping and function, sets, partial fraction, quadratic equation these topics are lil bit advance than normal one you did secondary school and lotta of courses like that .... If you're coming to school just make sure you come along with your physics, maths and chem textbook.... Bro this courses can make or break someone... But with the of help tutorials and your own personal effort by attending lectures and your constand reading you will sail through... Bro try your best to know lot about chemical bonding, matter and its properties, radioactivity, chemical equilibrium and the likes... Am not try to scare you or something but just letting you know what you gonna do... If you resume lotta people are going to scare you and intimidate you ... Dont be scared just do your thing and never be too forward... To sum up my stories never forget God factors

My advice is to study hard and graduate with a 1st class or upper second. And there are a lot of scholarship that you could apply for, which will reduce your experiences significantly if not to zero

Well, i am a biochemistry graduate myself now in the pharmacy profession. I had a bad experience with many biochem/microbiology graduates working in the pharm. industry where i did my IT. Those guys live in anger and beef pharmacists instead of talking to the management about whatever issues they have. It is bad!

Even that guy i quoted made his comment to mock the pharmacists, hence my reaction.

I respect those who respect themselves.

Id1otic imbeciile! Your post was very clear to me. You implied that the poster shouldn't study pharmacy because she will end up as a sales rep.

I know you type of 'medical rep'. All those B.Sc biochemistry/microbiology with zero knowledge of drugs who are employed by 'dagbo' companies, and because they can't detail products effectively to doctors and pharmacists to generate sales, they are kicked out to the bin as they don't meet target. That's your type!
The truth is that you are not qualified for the job but because some companies want to cut cost, they employ your type only to find out that you can't perform and kick your asxz out. Many companies are now realizing that the best people to do that job are Pharmacists, hence they pay them well to get the job done.
