I was told the embassy doesn't stop issuing Emergency travel certificate in lockdown. However not sure if it issued on certain days in the week or if its daily.
Many thanks for your reply.

I don’t know if the embassy is open o, but ETC is on Fridays. Someone said they travelled without one, if you’re brave you can give it a try.

Me I got mine quietly, because I don’t like to speak too much English at Nigerian airports.
Thanks for your prompt answer.
Please, how did you get yours?
Thanks!

Speak for yourself. Not everyone wants to live as a slave. I will rather live in corrupt Nigeria than live like a slave.
You got this wrong. He means the colonial period which officially began from 1914 when north and south were amalgamated and became Nigeria. That's different from the era of the slave trade which was abolished in 1832..

Hmm

You maybe right

But with enough information on nairaland.... One should pick up the one that suits him

This Issue has been over flogged a whole lot of times here

Still looking for the thread though
It is not as easy as you think. When you're looking for above average returns combined with a sizeable capital outlay, making a decision doesn't come easy! You gat to be careful!

Look, I've gone through all the posts here. Virtually all are either just starting out; do not have collateral or are facilitators to the person who knows the person who owns the company!

Even when they have it all together, they plan to tie your money down for a long term investment plan yielding little annually. You may as well do T-bills. If he gets a solid one with good cash flow showing good margin profit and not just turnover then I'm sure he'll be game. I once ran a business that was averaging 10 -12 million naira monthly in turnover but real profit was only 500k naira..

Even as I type this, a friend of mine (still met him today) asked my advice on how to invest 250 million. He wants something with a decent monthly return of say, 10% monthly and like OP, he's not keen on real estate..

On the thread, I didn't mention Nairaland. It's been a while though..about 9 years now.

Someone that has 16milla won't even mention it

The person will know the business he's going into
I know this wasn't directed to me but I felt I needed to let you know it happens.
Years ago, I secured $150,000 (#60 million) capital with the aid of my business partner.. To be honest with you, I didn't know how to invest this money. I was literally begging for ideas like OP on online forums etc.

It was then I realized that not knowing what to invest in is far worse than not having money but having a solid knowledge of what to invest in!!

I recall giving a Forex trader $40,000 (18 million naira). The dude was just losing money, lol. He later confessed that he was afraid because he hasn't traded such an amount before in his life.

Here comes Marcus Ulpius Nervae Traianus, otherwise known as Trajan, the greatest emperor of Rome in my opinion, the best of the "five good emperors" along with Marcus Aurelius.

(The angle of the sun was not right, so the photos of those statues aren't so great, but I took better shots of the marble statues inside museums.)

Trajan stands in front of Trajan's forum and Trajan's market, which is adjacent to the forums of Caesar, Augustus and Nerva.
Now there is a tale to tell: I could literally tell you volumes about Trajan's reign. Comparing his magnificent rule and deeds to our times will make you weep, I sure as hell wept after reading a good bit of material about him.

Some of the majestic public buildings and infrastructure he had built still stand today, and the ruins of those that didn't speak of past magnificence and beauty. You can clearly see how splendid the forum used to be, even in ruins it is quite a sight.
I spent an entire day there, and yearning to go back to see better -and take better photos.

I gotta sleep now, but I will be back to post the photos I took at this amazing place and tell you all I know about Trajanic era and the epitome of Roman engineering that is Trajan's legacy.

The inscription says optimo principi - Emperor Trajan was the first ruler to receive the title Optimus Princeps (the best ruler) from the senate, for his incredibly good deeds.
Trajan is depicted holding a scroll on most statues, in fact I haven't seen one without a scroll other than the nude ones.

Welcome to the UK. I’m no expert but if i were you I’d:
1. Register my Soft Skills/Service based skills on Fiver and similar sites and bid for jobs.

2. Create Art and use your digital marketing skills to sell them. Art is appreciated everywhere but moreso by our Caucasian hosts.

3. Driving is a very good skill to have here but it requires a while to properly monetize.

4. If in a hurry to start earning, consider care jobs. I hear they are easy to get and as an EU National should be even easier for you.

My 2cents. Hope it helps. Cheers.
Great ideas buddy! I'll get busy checking these out. Gracias!

Your warning is altogether unnecessary though appreciated. 100 years ago or so, you would probably have said the same of spaceships, the internet, smart phones, the web, GPS, Maglev trains, drones, modern cars, submarines, hypersonic jets and all the gadgetry in our homes today including the microwave oven, dishwasher, LED TVs among others; if you had lived at that time. embarassed

muyoge:
Which books have you been reading lately? On metaphysics?

Remember the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil unmade man(Adam). There’s a limit to how you seek SUCH UNPOPULAR ESOTERICALLY MYSTICAL knowledge. Eating the fruit will create a consciousness (a sense of unclothedness) that would make you seek protection and refuge from fig leaves as a cover.(That can't cover you appropriately). Remember that happened to Adam.

Don’t uncover what your existential make up cannot handle now. You are not cut for that now.

Remember seeking for power inordinately brought the devil his fall while seeking for knowledge unguidedly worked the downfall of man. Be careful.

Your tone suggest you already have the answers and you are only waiting for science to confirm. Science doesn't deal with superstitions like spirits or souls or multiple bodies. There are no physical evidence for those. Physics explain that what we term spirits and demons and gods are electromagnetic manifestations of energies of the universe.

Science doesn't claim to have answers or confirmation of everything. What science knows it does with evidence.

Physics say time travel, existence of other dimensions and other universes etc are possible. It might be impossible for us to completely prove them today but preliminary evidences say they are there. For instance, one of the clues for other universes is the amount of Dark Energy pushing the galaxies apart. The beauty of science is that it leaves trails and clues for other people to continue.

We should admit there are things science cannot confirm or prove with evidence as of now. But there are steps that show these things can be proven in a hundred years, a thousand years or more.
Beautiful post. It's time the definition of science is stretched some more. There are great discoveries waiting to be unravelled when science finally crosses the chasm between reality and physical verifiable evidence, beyond distance and time.

They are beyond science.
Hmmm, you probably meant that because science is seen as the study of the material world?
Science should encompass the study of the subatomic and the vast areas beyond that; reaching beyond confines of our visible universe; The MultiVerse.
