Lastly, I studied for 2 years in Malaysia back in 2010. however i couldn't find anywhere online where i could apply for their police clearance certificate. do the US embassy goes as far back as asking for a police certificate of a country you lived in more than a decade ago?

if someone had previously filed an immigrant petition for you before the answer is Yes if not the answer is no.

For your second question the year does not matter, as long as you’ve lived in a country for 6 months and above, you are required to get a police clearance certificate

i think you should join the WhatsApp group smartjack talked about earlier, you’ll get all info you need there. You can as well read earlier threads here, you’ll see how folks that went through the process already did it.

I have written US embassy for my packet, but I got an automatic reply stating that they no longer respond to such requests due to shortage of staff. That they now treat cases in the order they receive it. So I presume we just wait on them to send the packet for onward procession to medicals.

I don’t know the answer to this but i think October is too far since the embassy is making dates available now the automatic renewal of expired cases due to covid19 might not be there again

I just remembered I have an old CGI account when Applied for B1/B2 about 3 years ago. Can I use the old account or do I need to create a new one for this purpose. I just checked, it seems the system is retrieving my old account and it is asking me to change password.

i honestly do not know the answer to this, you may have to call ustraveldocs customer on +23412278955. Someone more experienced here might help out as well

any comes first but for you to book an interview appointment you must create a cgi account. For the medicals, once you have an interview date, it’s cool to do you medicals three weeks to your interview. You MUST have an interview date before medicals

So guys who are experienced in this stuff should tell us what next to expect in coming days. What to do when case shows ready. How to go about medicals and stuff. Nna man need to be guided like tata now.

My case went straight to AOS...(EAD skipped)...
