Good day Guys, when printing our chats via Microsoft word is it okay to print them in coloured version or on black and white? And when compiling proofs, do you it in form of an album or you attach to a file?
there is no standard for that but printing in colour makes it look cool and better, for your documents you can arrange them in a file with multi compartments

Please guys, my first time to post here. My man planned on visiting me here in Nigeria, and he's talking about engagement. We have been together for 5months.. I love him so so much cox he's every woman's dream. Does age gap really matter wen it comes to love and visa approval? He's 48 and I'm 26, 22yrs gap.. He hasn't been married before but he has 2 adult children but I'm still older than them. Thanks as you reply
Hi i just replied your question where you mentioned you were married already, but from this it shows you are not married to him yet, if you guys are engaged, you have to go through the k1 route but if you’re married to him already you have to go through the CR1 or IR1 route depending on your marriage date, all the best to you

Hello lovelies, pls as a Nigerian, married to a Cameroonian man who is an American green card holder, but i base in Nigeria. Where I'm i likely to be interviewed for my US visa, Nigeria or Cameron?
your interview will be at US embassy in Lagos, i think there is a thread for those going through the spousal route on Nairaland too, I suggest you join that thread as you’ll understand CR1 and IR1 process more from there, this thread is for folks going through the K1 route

At this stage(interview) Your agent doesn’t have anything to do with your affidavit as you the beneficiary would need to have it at hand for your interview.

So, you can have your fiancée fill the form from the USCIS and send to you or if the agency is going to forward you a copy of the one she’s going to fill on their website, as far as you have a physical filled and signed copy with you for interview, you’re good to go.

@ lakeside4ng. Please follow the link @Olamitunposi gave you and download form i-134, you’ll get the current version from there, i suggest you open with edge browser as this will enable you fill it directly from your PC, your petitioner should fill and scan it back to you, from your initial post you mentioned you just received your NOA2, so i think you have some couple of months for your case shipped to the US embassy in lagos because they’re currently dealing with backlog of cases due to the pandemic, but trust me you’re almost at the finish line, i recommend your petitioner fills the i-134 form once nvc ships your case to the US embassy in lagos. Meanwhile while waiting for that to be done I recommend you get your attestation of birth (not birth certificate) from National population commission. Don’t worry about the amount you paid rapidvisa i know they help to guide but you’ll definitely be guided more on this platform, feel free to ask your questions and all the best to you

Hi guys, I thought it would be nice to share my timeline here with y’all, as I’ve been a silent follower of this thread.

We filed December 2019, case was approved and sent to NVC April 2020, but Pandemic delayed us till May 2021 before it reached Lagos embassy.

Here’s my interview transcript and point of entry experience.

I interviewed August 18th 2021.

I got there around past 6am and waited till after 6:30 before they could pass us in.

After getting in, I was called and they asked for my attestation of birth, affidavit of support and tax transcripts, along with all the interview documents( DS160 and the likes). Afterwards she asked me to sit and will be called. Here; the lady asked for my petitioner’s number and asked for my marriage certificate, knowingly on their record that I’ve never been married.

Interview;

It was a white lady in window 14, she asked me to take an oath and took my finger prints.

Then she asked;

Who petitioned for you?

So tell me how you guys met?

When did you both start talking?

When did you decide on starting a relationship?

When was your first meeting?

Where does your fiancé live?

What does she do?

What’s her job description?

Where is her place of work?

What does her work name means?

Does your fiancé live alone?

Has she ever been married?

Does she have kids?

Have you ever been married?

Have you ever been out of Nigeria?

What country did you visit?

How long did you stayed for?

What were you doing then?

Have you ever been arrested or committed any crime?

What’s your wedding plan?

Where do you plan to live when you get there?

What’s the time difference now?

…….. Your documents looks okay, I will be approving your Visa… Kindly note, you can’t marry in Nigeria while on this Visa and have to marry within 90days of your arrival in the US.

Congratulations and all the best.

By the way, it took 12days for my Visa to be issued.

POE: On getting to the Immigration at the US point of entry, a lady took my packet and passport, after opening the packet, I saw my medical and her tax transcript with our filling documents, then asked where my fiancé is, I told her she’s on her way to pick me up, then she stamped my passport and wrote 1 of 1 entry on the Visa.

After that, she then took me to the waiting room for processing, where I was processed and the immigration officer asked for the address I would be staying, at that point my head went blanked, I told him the city and state…. But he needed a proper address, thank God I had it saved on my fiancé’s contact in my phone, so I pulled out my phone and showed him…… Then he typed it on the system and returned my passport saying; welcome to the United State Of America, please do enjoy your stay.

Then I left there, only to see my luggages waiting for me to claim them.

Overall, I didn’t spend 20min with immigration and baggage claim.

PS: @treasureprince, this is Funmi’s fiancé (Anthony, Gina)✌✌✌
see my guy!!!!!! I’ll be calling you tomorrow, welcome to the United states brother

Happy new month! I greet the house.
We just received message from nvc stating they received our application and a case number has been created and it it take weeks for them to send the application to the embassy. Can I go ahead and fill in the form ds 160 now?
yes please, this means your case is on its way to US embassy in Lagos, you can track your case on https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ with your case number, you can also pay your visa fee of $265 after which you create an account and book your interview date on https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ kindly note that you may likely get a date for next year but ensure you select the next available date you see on the portal, all the best to you

Good morning my people
Pls what is the current wait time from applying for a k1 visa now? From applying to interview? Pls i would appreciate some kinds responses.
before covid K1 process takes approximately six months to complete but after the pandemic hit, there are massive backlogs of cases, i think the process takes between 10-13 months now, hopefully they might get back to precovid level soon. All the best to you

Hello pls I need ur help. If the petitioner for the K1 visa is a Nigerian American, petitioning for his fiancée in Nigeria whom he had seen on innumerable occasions when they were not "something" back home in Nigeria. But since they started dating, they have not met physically due to distance and it is over 2 years. Will the consulate waive that?

They also do not have pictures together. But their families have a close-knit relationship.

Good day guys, so I have a question. I read that one of the requirements for the interview at the consulate is proof of wedding plans, if we get my Fiance's Priest in his church over there at the US to write a letter concerning the wedding date is that enough proof? For those that have scaled through the interview, can you be so kind as to tell us how you went about this part.
proof of wedding plan is not required, just go with the documents below and you’ll be fine:

1.DS 160
2. Medical ( You may not be interviewed if your medical is not ready)
3.Police report
4. Birth certificates- NPC attestation of birth ( Original and Copy)
5: Evidence of Relationships ( pictures, chat and call logs)
6:Affidavit of Support and other financial docs( 1040, W2/ IRS tax transcript)
7: International Passports
8: 2 passports photos (2*2)

Hey, how is USA so far and how is the wait for work authorization.
US has been cool so far, thank you. AOS is moving crazingly fast now especially for folks that filed from june, with the way things are going it might take less than three months to get EAD. Prior to june noa1 for AOS was taking like 6-8 weeks to arrive but now noa1 takes just 4-5 days to come, mine took just four days and I’m already looking out for biometrics appointment, what stage are you now ?

I guess what USCIS was asking for about "Evidence of financial support " has to do with if my fiance has supported me financially like money transfer receipt but unknowingly my fiance sent last 6 months pay slips and tax returns. Other than that everything else is fine, but Should we be worried?
i think your fiancé did the right thing, let’s keep our fingers crossed. You’ll be fine

Ok. I was referring to the immunisation. If I don’t have records then I will do it. Only question I asked was if it’s ok to do it at a general hospital. It’s just the immunisation , I don’t mean the basic medical screening which is compulsory at the embassy designated hospital. Seems like my question is kinda complex to understand, lol. Thanks anyways. Appreciate your reply.
i don’t think they care much about prior immunizations as you stated, you’ll definitely receive some vaccine shots from them, for me they only focused on the chicken pox stuff, yours may vary though. All the best to you

Is it a must to be immunised at the embassy designated hospital? I have no immunization records and I want to go to a general hospital to get it done. I understand that if I don’t have any immunization records then I have to pay to get it done at the embassy designated hospital.
if i got your question right, YES you must have your medical at the embassy designated clinics and don’t worry they’ll give you the required shots, i was only asked if I’ve had chicken pox before, that will determine if they’ll give you chicken pox vaccine or not, did i answer your question?

Police report can be gotten in any State Police HQ. All you need to do is visit the State Force HQ.
Fill the forms
Submit 2 passport pics
Copy of your passport data page
Submit your finger prints...and pay the requested fee...that's it.

The State Command will forward the completed forms to the Central Crime Registry which is ONLY in Lagos (Alagbon).

After some days (10 days max in estimate)..The clearance certificate will be returned to the State HQ and you will be called to come pick it up.

Even if you go to ABUJA, it will still sent to Lagos. I did mine in Kaduna..and that was my third clearance cert (over a period of 10 yrs for different purposes).
okay, this is noted, those that do theirs in lagos or Abuja collect theirs in minutes, it’s cool to note police report can be fetched nationwide
