You just don't want to accept that Woodward messed up United ba? David Gill will never have signed Antony for €100m, or offer Phil Jones new contract for years, or offer unproductive player improved contract, or sell United players for cheap and, or allow the Stadium and Club facilities to deteriorate and so on. This are what makes David Gill a successful football C.E.O.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Florentino Peres is an experience Football President/C.E.O, Ferran Soriano is another experience Football C.E.O and so many more, you don't have to be an ex footballer to be a football C.E.O. Another example of a bad C.E.O is Josep Maria Bartomeu. The Clubs i mentioned earlier are doing well because they have people on their board who understand the football side of running a football club. United have not had that since Woodward became C.E.O, and Murtough and co became board members. Woodward was a terrible C.E.O as per player transfer deals and contract extension deals, so for Arnord. Let us see what Berrada brings to the table.

A football C.E.O will not override a Manager's decision to sell unproductive players (e.g Mourinho's attempt to sell Martial was blocked by Woodward). Yes the Manager is the most integral part of the on pitch success of a Football Club, but a football C.E.O's is nearly as important too.

Woodward came in and messed the Club up so bad, United became a laughing stock among Football Clubs. The Glazers crime was not sacking him early on, but they didn't because he was bring in money for the Club. Clubs like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, ManCity and co will not reward rubbish players like Trashford with an improved contract extension, because they have people with good football knowledge as Chief Executive and across their board.

A major problem with United team is indescipline, it is so obvious to see. Ronaldo came in, saw how indesciplined or lazy players like Martial, Rashford, Pogba, Lingard Sancho and even Greenwood are, he spoke out about it during presser and some fans criticised him for that. Mourinho spoke out about the lazy attitude and lack of effort from some players, he was criticised for doing so. Even Rangnick had to publicly criticise Pogba at some point. I was so optimistic Ten Bald would clear out the rubbish players, but rather he told us those same players were good enough and United doesn't need the number of players Rangnick recommended. It took a thorough beating from Brighton and co to open his eyes a little, he now made the situation worse by recommending more rubbish players for the board to sign.
Ten Bald is a small club level Manager...

Whichever system the powers that be are working with is wrong, that needs to be addressed from the root. Changing coaches and players won't solve that.

Mourinho’s sack from Roma was inevitable. He started making everything about him as always. Results were bad, performances were worse and the press conferences left much to be desired.

The post match press conference after the Milan beating where he said Roma fans think he is Harry Potter pretty much sealed it. Football has moved on from him and his style. I don’t know who would take another chance on him.
