you can start by making one for google playstore or apple appstore let's see, microsoft is even more supportive for our local content with their windows phone os,start and let's see how good it is. U see the point is not to make it, but how good it will be compared with others, that's why when u visit appstores only those with the highest ratings are purchased or even downloaded, most mediocre ones are unheard of. Can you make a racing game better than gameloft?? Or E.A?? If you can't then how do you think you would get crowd support when its not even on par with average ones. I'm not disputing your ability to make games but true say, what you would churn out will be average. If what am saying aint feasible then prove me wrong and make something substantial let nigerians support you. Console games don't necessarily have to be Uncharted-esque, Limbo is less than 100MB and is one of my favorite console games of this generation.

I have seen a couple of threads / posts and even articles claiming that the PS3 made one of the greatest comebacks and is a profitable business for Sony. I just had to clear this up.

It seems that a lot of people forgot or ignore the gigantic losses Sony reported earlier this gen, thanks to the PS3.

The financial year that ended March 2006, Sonys game division reported a 75 million USD operating income. Back then the PSP and PS2 were going really strong and were highly profitable. The operating income was down 80% just thanks to the R& for the PS3. So even before the PS3 was released it already had its impact on the gaming business.

The financial year ended March 2007, the gaming division reported a 1.97 billion USD loss. Again the PS2 and PSP were profitable back then, so the losses made by the PS3 easily surpass the 2.2 billion USD mark.

The next year, Sony reported a 1.24 billion USD loss. Again considering the PSP and the PS2, 1.5 billion USD loss just for the PS3 in this one year is an educated guess.

So before the the next financial year started, the PS3 already had a 4.3 billion USD loss to fight, not including R&! Sony merged the gaming business with the Vaio business and called it "Networked Products & Services". From this point on it gets complicated to guess the exact PS3 numbers. However the newly formed division reported a 888 million USD loss for its first year. This was the year when the new model launched and the PS3 saw a big price cut. This was the time when Sony decided to go after market share instead of profits. Tha vaio-business is way smaller than the Playstation business, so at the very least 500 million USD of those 888 million loss belong to the Playstation, mainly for the PS3. Let's be very conservative here and say the PS3 only lost 400 million USD.

The year financial ending March 2011 was the very first year the PS3 actually made a profit! The new division posted a 428 million USD profit for the whole year. The Vita was not yet launched and the Vaio business was going strong according to the report. 300 million USD profit for the PS3 is an optimistic guess.

The next year sony decided to mix the division formed 2 years ago with all the other businesses for consumers (LCD, audio and video, gaming, tablets). Sony reported that this new division started with a breathtaking 2.8 billion USD loss. The report states that there were a lot of impacts that went bad for them (floods in Thailand and decreased sales of Playstation 3 hardware, digital cameras and and PCs). Let's be VERY optimistic and assume that the gaming division did not post a loss, even though the PSN outage cost them 171 million USD and is included in this report.

For the FY 2013 the gaming division is back and called "Game". Here are the results we have so far:
Q1: 45 million USD loss
Q2: 29 million USD profit
Q3: 53 million USD profit.

= 37 million USD profit in the past 9 months.



So overall we are looking at a total loss of 4 billion USD for the PS3, not including R& and that is a very optimistic guess. With all the factors I chosed to ignore to show you that this is not biased in any way (R&, PSN Outage, Most of the PS2 / PSP profits) the actual number would be way higher. There are reports that the cell processor alone cost 400 million in R&, add BluRay, PSN etc. and you get the idea. So a 5-6 billion USD loss for the PS3 is very likely.

So the comeback of the PS3 never really happened. And it did not make any money yet and won't recoup the money at all. This is not spinning, no trolling just hard facts from the financial reports. This is why I don't get all these celebrations of Sony and the PS3. Imagine where the Xbox 360 or the Wii would be if Nintendo or MS were willing to take a 5 billion USD loss...

very very stupid analysis..let me point out to you..the only console that made profit at inception was nintendo wii..they made about 7 dollz on each console, xbox and ps3 goes a diffrent direction with marketing and pricing, sony nd ms chose to make loss on each console to gain market share and make back profit from software sales and licensing. If you know a bit about business then you should know about this marketing strategy, still sony made greater loss because of accrued expenses from research and development and you should know that sony has a firm hasn't posted a single profit since the 90's and early 2000's. I won't educate you on business..read that up urslf but that's my line of study, for ps3 to mess up at launch and still come back strong to beat xbox 360 says something, and the install base is 77mil strong and has been on the market for only 7yrs..ps2 took 10yrs to reach that milestone..in 3yrs time let's come back and check stats. The truth is I don't know who is more greedy ASUU or fg, the so called lecturers have lost passion fo teaching, I'm in a lecture hall and there are 250 students and the lecturer is talking to himself, no public address system, that money they are fighting for will be more useful if they use it for infrastructure and equipment to aid teaching and better the environment and upgrade our syllabus!!! Nigerian curriculum is so far behind..too much emphasis on reading an less on practising and we keep pushing half baked students out every year.

Which console is better is objective..here are my reasons why ps3 is better than 360..1st as a gaming console all I care about are games games games..breath taking ip's new ones and rejuvenated old ones and on this count ps3 trumps xbox 360..even xbox 360 lovers will tell u that, uncharted series, last of us,resistance series, heavy rain, god of war,infamous series,mgs,killzone,too many exclusive games to mention,little big planet,playstation battle royale, on this count ps3 wins. 2nd point as an entertainment system I use my game as a blu ray player!! Any1 who's watched a movie at full 1080p will love this feature, the xbox 360 can't output at 1080p. The issue of mutitaskin on xbox 360..I dnt need dat multitasking aspect..while will I want to be lisnin to music instead of the in game sound in a game like god of war..listnin to one song instead of kratos exerting gut wrenching moves on his foes?? It beats me..the issue of xbox live and psn is objective too..I prefer psn..I dnt need to pay for any shii b4 I game online, or do I need cross game chat for any matter. Games are made first of all with gaming in mind and that's the same problem ms are making with the xbox one, the right balance is mixing the gaming and entertainment part so one doesn't outshine the other. 3rd point..xbox 360 pad is just a sore spot for me..too frickkn big nd unwiedly..after a few gaming sessions my fingers are alwayz sore but I love the trigger buttons tho but the ps3 pad wins it for me, the battery charge lasts longer, its more ergonomic and it has 6 axis functionality. 4th I prefer ps3 Xmb to 360s dash board..it feels more mature and the ease of use is great. First of all about programming game graphics, where you xbox fans fail is that not all graphics rendering are gpu based, it depends on the skill of the programmer, highly skilled programmers have the ability to offload the processing work of the gpu to the cpu, the cpu at that point helps it buffer or process such graphics ahead in its dedicated ram pool! Some games are more cpu than gpu centric, if you play pc gaming you would realise this as some pcs with mid specd gpu's play some very high end games very well cuz they have a high end cpu and the game in question is more cpu centric! An example of this type of game is GTA4!! Its has more to do with cpu processing than GPU, so in this case, if the devs aren't good programmers or coders, the whole look of gta would come out bad, and also gpu only renders but coding is the underlying work,debugging a game is recoding wrong codes and this makes what the gpu render look better. And for xbox fans sayn gears of war is much more graphically intense than any ps3 game is in serious denial, you are just lying to yourself! Ps3 made a name for itself because its 1st party ip are so much better than xbox and not just better but graphically more advanced than whatever is on xbox 360. Gears of war has nothing on uncharted 3 or last of us when it comes to graphics, we haven't even talked about god of war, anybody who played the opening of the god of war game on ps3 where kratos battles those titans will have his jaw dropping and the issue of linearity or open world gameplay does affect graphics but to say because games like uncharted are looking that good is because of that is serious blindness, last of us is 27gb of data..is it milk or juice that takes up 27gb of data!!!?? Its all about graphics and the in game renditions of objects..so many high res objects takes up those space and. So xbox fans can go sleep in a bunker, ps3 ip wipes the floor with xbox 360's own, I'm sure you must have gone thru more than one rrod, u can multitask all you want, what's the point of all this if I can only get to play halo and gears of war!! Pathetic. After being launched a year and some months after the 360 and much more xpensive...ps3 sales finally has surpassed 360 that's if half of the 360 sales aren't caused by rrod..my friend went thru 3 xbox 360..lol..so yallz have several seatz..

And the xbox fans are just yarning pure trash here..the ps3 is much more powerful than the xbox 360, the gpu is more powerful as well but as much as hardware is important, software is very important too and as a result of the diffrent architecture with xbox 360 being closer to pc, its easier to code for the 360 than ps3 that's why multiplats look better on 360 than ps3. What will take yoU 2 lines of coding on 360 can take about 10 on the ps3 so the developers who most times are on time constraints don't infuse all their time to get it right on the ps3. So graphical fidelity is very dependent on software as well as hardware and also the experience of the dev team. For hardware, ps3 trumps 360 in gpu and cpu but since multiplatform is basically about selling games, devs don't want to use much more time to code for the ps3 when the ps3 nd 360 games both have the same release date. That can't be said about sony 1st party studio who are very experienced when it comes to ps3 architechture because they have access to needed equipment from sony, take a look at uncharted series by naughty dog, the xbox 360 is not able to pull of such graphical prowess and u may say because its linear that's why it looks so good, that goes both ways though, linearity has more to do with gameplay and ability to output such graphics, what's the use of kratos in god of war being in an open world system like gta when the gameplay guides you to just go ahead and kill. True to say, the xbox 360 can't output games with the same graphical fidelity like uncharted, god of waR, killzone and more recently last of uS! And that's because sonys 1st party studios are experienced in coding for the system and have all the needed tech from sony, now take a look at the cinematic cutscenes and even live game play of uncharted and god of war, the studios who produced those games have access to sony's amazing digital and camera technology hence being able to produce such movie like sequences. Another example is the problem of recently released skyrim, on 360 because its easier to code for has been released since, I'm talking about the dlc where as on ps3 the dev team ran into a lot of problems trying to code the same game for the ps3, but an experienced team like naughty dog could have pulled it of. The 360 use of dvd limits the graphical dexterity too as it would be unprofitable and cumbersome to have so many discs just to play one game, the last of us is 27gb!! Of data alone! The last of us Is linear but that doesn't reduce the graphical fidelity, being linear is more of gameplay than anything

Tecno N7..I got it for someone. To say the truth, the build quality is pretty nice, the plastic feels much better and sturdy than Samsung's, the packaging is really good and even comes with a pouch. At 11.3mm in thickness though, its fat and the screen edges out at 5.0inches diagonally with a resolution of 800*480 falling into below 200ppi about 183ppi, so the screen is a big let off. It beats samsungs build quality but that's where the advantage ends, internally and software wise it pays to spend more. U get just 1gb of internal storage with 512mb ram and a 1.2ghz dual core processor. Day to day task runs pretty fine but I'm skeptical about how it would run in the long term when enough apps have been installed, its going to be laggy enough. You get 2300mah battery and that's humongous. The battery life is amazing. An 8mp camera is well just and 8mp camera, nothing to be ecstatic about. No in house developed skin instead it uses Go launcher I think. Runs android 4.0 and no jelly bean upgrade, don't know how the phone will take flashing 4.1 in it too. At the price range of about 28-30k, its a nice phone but anybody who has used a much higher end device will be disappointed with it. The 5inch screen is huge but the resolution is a turn off, again if you haven't used phones of hd screen resolution you should be ok with it. Alternatives to this phone are much, I'll personally recommend saving a lil more money and get the senior brother phantom A, and If you are into the windows phone 8 ecosystem, the lumia 520 is a steal at 27k.

You can get it fixed at alaba but my advice is that you just forget about a game nd get a new one probably the slim version. Repairing it would only waste your money as its bound to happen again after repair. Its called the red ring of death caused by overheating and the processor automatically shuts itself down to prevent it from getting spoilt. Do not waste your time or money, get a new one and stay off old versions of xbox 360 to reduce the likely hood of it happening

The scenario if I'm correct is that it also blinks yellow light before it powers off, if it does then its the yellow light of death syndrome and sorry to say no solution. Had the same problem with mine as far as 2009, even if u fix it, it wud still come back later. Over heating is the cause and the chip inside the game has shut down automatically to prevent damage to it. If its not being repaired by sony, my advice is to trow it away and get a slim version that runs cooler.
