remember i told u i will love to see u when i come to lagos, and that was my first reply to u on this forum, if u were not doing a good job maybe i won't have dat interest, listen don't stop doing what made others to notice u, as at today so many of our guru have stop posting or replying to questions here or sharing new info

if d said guy who express his opinion really followed dis trend from 1-5 he will understand dat what u are sharing is not new, but because of d cost of buying dos equipment dey simply show us easy way to get it done, but always advice getting dos tools were better

and by d way d nigcomsat dat cause dis talk if dey so know dat dey have d signal i dare them to remove their dish from signal totally and track it afresh again then i will take their argument of questioning ur competence

and they should do it and upload d video on YouTube and share d link here

more over i refuse to track dat bird bcus of his inconsistency pending wen it becomes stable

still love to see u, but don't stop sharing.

where is chinedu i miss ur post oh
Thank my brother I will continue to give out my opinion because those who are willing to learn ,I appreciate.

Yes please any idea if our Nigcomsat is still on now, my installer and I have been battling with it since yesterday... And can it be tracked using a !.8m dish.? cos it is not even flashing sef.. please any successful installation in Kaduna and its environs please also chip in.
I think I made reference to nigcomsat the other day, a member was telling me he is in doubt if really I am a good installer as I claimed, I used my 90m dish to track it in my area the the signal came up, but was blinking up and down, when somebody asked I said it has not come up, the person said why do we always want to be negative that it was on, that it came up in the evening or so, but I don't want to argued with him, because I was in my place of work ,immediately I got home I tried it with the same 90m dish the signal was sill blinking up and down in at my end, I can't tell what it will look like in ur area anyway, but I want ahead to motorised it with my 1.8m and it was actually on air. So Imdomt think 90m dish will work on it except otherwise, below is the images I snapped on it

on a most serious note a prefessional installer should ve all these materials like a compass, inclonometer and what have you to make tracking easy. He should able to decipher the azimuth and elevations of various satellite in order for him to become world class installer.
My advice for you,mr Truwbless is that you should not be detarred keep sharing your ideas for that is the purpose of this forum.
Yes!one or two persons may be offended because they dont really understand what you are passing across but in the long run they will get to know all that satellite installation is beyond trying to move a dish up and down while looking for particular signal.
It is calculated to get the signal you re looliig for.let take 9e for example, many people really find it difficult to track this sat but if you have the necessary malterials and know how to use them to get a particular sat ,9e should not pose any problem.
Plsease my candid advice to every member of this forum is that we should cultivate the habit of learning just to be perfect.
Thank you very much my good brother, Imreallt appreciate your advised and the courage u have shire up in me, I can see people like u and me are willing to learn in respective of what we might have learn and know before now, my brother I have learned so many things yet I am still learning, because am willing to know more than I have known, take for example the comment of logonlaredo that he has known everything in the forum 1-5 and in this present one, that he has all the satellite the dish he has the capability of given him, that I am confusing the people am given my information to. Can u imagine that statement? That was while I told him that in higher institution a lecturer will come to the lecture class or Hall and introduce a course to the class and if u are willing to learn u stay and if u are not willing u leave and others who are willing will stay and learn, the forum is not giving me money neither did I asked any of our member to give me money, I have been here for over one year I remained inactive I mean not speaking out, I was just reading the comment or write up of other member and leaning, I just decided to create awareness for people to know that installation of satellite dish can be made easy if we all know how to calculate our azimuth, elevation, offset angle, declination angle and calculate the distance of the particular satellite we are trying to align our dish to.I have made up my mind not to reply anybody question or tell anybody the way forward, but rather I will be reading and learning from other people question and answer given to them as regard to their question. I could vividly remember when I was in secondary school when a mathematics teacher comes in to the class I work out because of the hatred I had for mathematics during exams I will try to see I pass the maths anyhow, but when I entered university the course I was into demanded knowledge of mathematics, then I now realised the mistake I made in my secondary school where I was supposed to learn it. My brother if u are for get at me on my facebook chat on ehisokosu2004@yahoo.com or peradventure call me on my phone so that we can always have our discussion over there, to avoid people disrepecting me here in nairaland.

I have learnt alot on FTA forum reading from part1 to part5 and this present one.

my concern is for the people u r giving information to, cos u dey confuse them
ok am sorry for that, one thing is that we keep learning, even in school some lecturers will come and introduce some topic to u which u have never know or learn before if u are interested u give audience if u are not u walk away, am talking of higher institutions, u have the option. I hope u understand what am saying, well don't be offended if u are readily available I wouldn't mind to come to ur place and learn something from u, I believe this forum is a place where people share what they have and we learn from each other, I want to learn more that is why I came into this forum.

theories & technical terms & gadgets alone can't do it, u can support it with image of a dish u already track the satellite on.
see the elevation of this particular satellite was 63 degree, and when u set the angle of elevation at 63 degree u won't hit at the satellite , therefore u have to minus ur dish offset angle from ur true elevation of 63 degree to hit at the satellite, if u are on facebook just search for me and add me as ur friend I will explain better to u, my facebook address I'd ehisokosun2004@yahoo.com

bros, this calculated elevation true elevation is the calibration on the pole? if am right, that means the dish will be looking towards the floor. pls,if u can help attach a picture I will be glad.
Do u have inclinometer, if u do just place it at the back of ur dish and adjust the dish elevation to 22.1,then turn ur dish to azimuth of 98.1 degree u are there

If Satellite HD is available as android app I'll definitely try it. My handset has GPS & it calculates the elevation & azimuth of any Sat. Frm there, I could rotate my phone horizontally & vertically. When I'm on the right axis, the app buzzes & I simply position my dish on that axis and fine tune. Don't need to do any calculations or require inclinometer/ compass.
I downloaded it on my ipad and the list of all satellite are there as well

You mean Dish Aligner? I've been using that app and Satellite Director, another app. They do give an idea at where to point your dish after you've input the Sat details
do u have satellite HD though am using I pad the application is very clear to u, is quite different from the one From that satellite director, I used www.dishpoint always with my normal compass and inclinometer and it worked for me so much, one thing is that u must subtract ur offset angle to get ur true angle of elevation, just like when u are tracking the entire arc, after getting ur true angle of elevation u minus ur declination angle to get the real angle u position ur dish on. Unless u don't know how to use it well. But do u know how to get ur offset angle in an offset dish? And do u have inclinometer as well if u have it make installation easy for u.

which app are u talking about pls?
Just type in the location u are then click on the satellite list and select ur desire satellite and click go ,it will give all the information on that particular satellite . There is one u can download , but this www.dishpointer.com just type it in any of ur search engine it will open. Like the information I sent to u now for nigcomsat just subtract ur offset angle from that true elevation that will be the desire angle of ur nigcomsat
If u want to download app, download dish align from ur andriod market , that one is just to give u the azimuth direction is like compass ,that is if u don't have the hardware ,I mean the real compass

Satellite TV TechnologyHow Do I Align My Satellite Dish? by trewbless(op): 9:47pm On Jun 30, 2017
When aligning a dish, you need to know the look angles such as the azimuth, elevation and LNB skew. These are all specific to your location and the chosen satellite. The azimuth tells you the direction in which to point the antenna. The elevation is the vertical lift, and the LNB skew is the polarization of the signal, or in other words by how much you have to rotate the LNB. If you have a multi-lnb dish, you tilt the whole dish rather than tilting the LNB. Once you’ve obtained all these values from this site, preset the elevation and dish skew and point the dish at a landmark indicated by the alignment line on the map. You’ll already be over half the way there. On the receiver, check the satellite signal strength and the network ID of the transponder; it should match the satellite you intend to receive. Move the dish slightly to the left/right and up/down in very small steps and very slowly and watch the signal strength bar on the receiver to do the fine-tuning. Finally, tweak the LNB skew for maximum signal quality.

For a multi-lnb setup, the procedure is the same as the standard installation only you need to tilt the dish and connect the LNBFs with a multi-switch. You should also do the LOS for each satellite you want to receive bearing in mind that the signal comes from a different direction than the one where the dish points to.
