President Putin warns of danger coming from Ukraine’s black market weapons sales

"Risks remain that more powerful weapons may fall into the hands of criminals, including portable anti-aircraft missile systems and high-precision weapons," the Russian leader specified

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday warned of the dangers posed by the black market sale of weapons in Ukraine, including powerful weapons.

"Serious challenges are created by the black market of arms operating in Ukraine, cross-border criminal groups are actively involved in smuggling them into other regions," the Russian president said at a meeting with the heads of delegations at the 51st meeting of the CIS council of chiefs of security agencies and special services.
"We are not only talking about small arms," the president stressed. "Risks remain that more powerful weapons may fall into the hands of criminals, including portable anti-aircraft missile systems and high-precision weapons," Putin specified.

Arms trafficking from Libya to Niger is back; Nigeria, others should be concerned

"After the fall of Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, southward arms flows from Libya rose significantly. In 2012, this enabled Mali’s Tuareg rebels and armed groups operating in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin to acquire weapons and ammunition in a period of widespread regional turmoil."

Libya is now a retrogressed failed state.
The influx of arms into Nigeria as a result of the West arming rebels has lead to more insecurity and insurgency in Nigeria.
Those lethal weapons are now being used to terrorize innocent Nigerians.
The West was defeated in Afghanistan by rebels last year.
The weapons they were forced to leave behind (as a result of their defeat) has found it's way to the black market.

Partnership with Russia

According to Mr. Séba, "it is not up to the West to determine with whom Africa should build strong relationships."

"We want to build relationships with nations that are opposed to Western hegemony. Russia is one of them. But it is not the only one, there is Venezuela, Cuba, China, Turkey, and Iran. They are all part of the challenge process."

As for the presence of Russian flags, the activist also sees it as "a kind of protest, a provocation of the African peoples because they know that Russia is now a country hated by the Western elites." "But this does not mean that Russia is our Messiah. We are the Messiahs of our own."

Having not forgotten the tenets of colonialism, Africa rejects "the neo-liberal Western dictatorship of the Western elite." The anti-French manifestations that are taking place in several countries on the continent prove that.
