Obaseki has bitten more than he can chew and swallow...greed effect... Using state power to force people to obey you and suspend a national chairman of your party that stood beside you during your election and has avoided attacking you for refusing to work in harmony with other members of the party in your state...

Party is supreme.

Party brought you to power.

You can't just wake up and start sidelining members of the party while claiming they're asking you to share state money.

You can give members of the party contracts to work on... Your own will be to ensure they complete the contract...of course, they'll still make profit from the contract even if they don't embezzle the funds... As governor, give qualified and capable members of your party contracts and follow up with proper mechanism to ensure they do the job simple... Yours is to limit their greed and temptation to embezzle all funds without doing anything... That's what Oshiomole did that made him successfully complete many projects in the state that you haven't even matched 25% of yet you are fighting Oshiomole instead of seeking his support and advice on direction to take to curtail greed of party members.

Obaseki retrace your steps or you'll fail woefully. You won't get second term and your political career will just die like that.

Cc lalasticlala
no need for Obaseki to retrace any step,Oshiomole will never forgive him for this. He's only quiet now because when he starts dealing with him politically no body would even think of begging on his behalf.

Hi everyone,
Am really confused on what to do right now and I need advice.

I and my ex broke up six months ago...I broke up with him cuz we are always having misunderstandings...not just that..he can't control himself when angry , he always end up insulting me and calling me names but apologize when he is calm.

The last one that led to our break up was when we went to his friend's birthday party..on getting there,,i met an old time friend(a guy) and we talked for few mins .i went back inside where the party was holding and I met my bf angry already,,we end up quarreling there and he called me a prostitute in front of everyone(that wasn't the first time he would embarrass me in public)...

I was hurt and left there...i started ignoring him and the relationship wasn't going well anymore...i broke up with him afterwards ..i love him but I can't accept his flaws ..we tried to get back together but end up blaming each other for everything.

Six months later, I'm in a relationship with another guy..he has his flaws too but not bad...
Now the problem is I still love my ex and we still talk and chat almost everyday...

He is the first person I call when I need advice and vice versa..my ex family thinks we are still together and always call to check up on me....this is causing problems in my new relationship....

I decided to cut contact with my ex but he is isn't ready to let me go and neither am i..

Just last week my bf broke up with me and told me to call him when am ready to cut off contact with my ex...

Am really confused and I don't know how to do what he asked me...pls anyone with advice on how to forget someone should help me

I need to forget and move on from my ex
....pls advice... Thanks

Pls no one should come here and start telling me I met a good guy and toying with his feelings..

My ex is also a good guy, he just has his flaws...I just need advice...

Thanks
go back to ur ex ur heart belongs there...

I am not a pdp sympathizer, I voted for Osho in his first and second tenure, we all queued behind him when he brought the mantra of one man one vote because we were tired of the state of godftherism under pdp, don't forget that before he came on board there was a movement called" no man is good" which was aimed at salvaging the state from the grip of a godfather. Osho cashed in on this mantra and coupled with his activism during his union days became the people's choice. If Osho is very confident of his popularity let him and inec allow a free and fair election to test his popularity.

For the general talk about tithes, I have realized that more often than not, those who shout Pastors are stealing money from their members via tithes don't pay their tithes. Those who do pay tithes don't complain. So I begin to wonder why a lot of us cry more than the bereaved. Why complain about what others do with their money.
You so much right on this.Do you know that if pastors says we all should stop paying tithes there are still millions of believers who will go and sow secretly.its just a personal choice jor.

BAAKUS1447:
Members of the Edo State caucus in the National Assembly have backed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, in the battle between him and Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The caucus, which addressed journalists in Abuja on Thursday, blamed the crisis on Obaseki, asking the governor to issue a fresh proclamation for the proper inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The lawmakers also accused the Deputy Governor, Mr Philip Shaibu, of displaying “shameful acts of indiscipline and political rascality.”

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Peter Akpatason, who spoke on behalf of the caucus, said, “It was at this point that we decided, as responsible parliamentarians duly elected by our constituents, to speak out and restate the following:

“That we, the APC caucus in the National Assembly, hereby, without hesitation, express our undiluted and absolute confidence in the sterling and patriotic leadership of the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, who has been doing excellently well and won two tough elections.

“We advise Governor Obaseki and his management to appreciate the damage they are doing to the state and party with their undemocratic and unorthodox political actions and to retrace their steps.

“The Governor should issue another proclamation as stipulated in the Constitution and have all the 24 elected members properly inaugurated so they can duly represent their constituents and make invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the state.

“To stop forthwith all forms of intimidation and harassment of elected officials, appointees and perceived enemies.

“Allow peace to reign in Edo State and work to enhance democratic practices by opening up political spaces.”

The National Working Committee of the APC had set up a high-powered fact-finding mission on the crisis.

PoliticsRe: Pressure Mounts On Secondus To Resign by Trimque2k1(m): 9:40am On Nov 21, 2019
agwom:
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus is under intense pressure to vacate office over alleged constitutional breaches, misappropriation of funds and failure to lead the party to victory in the 2015 and 2019 general elections. Secondus has also allegedly failed to call for major meetings of the various organs of the party including the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting which is the second highest decision-making organ of the party.

Daily Trust reports that the pressure is coming from PDP leaders and groups within the party. A former Special Adviser on Public Affairs, to President Goodluck Jonathan and member of the defunct Presidential Campaign Council for Atiku Abubakar, Malam Nasir Zahradeen, confirmed to our correspondent last night that majority of PDP stalwarts and power brokers were demanding for Secondus’ resignation.

“Secondus must go and he must be investigated by the EFCC, ICPC and the SSS because of the alleged impropriety, alleged putting of his hands on the funds of the party which is unacceptable. “You cannot say whether the other members of the NWC are doing well or they are not doing well. But if the head is rotten, definitely, you don’t expect any action from the rest.

“Now we have lost the Kogi and Bayelsa elections. On Bayelsa, he (Secondus) connived with the governor. Apparently, the governor had his own idea of getting his kinsman to be the governor while he will get the senatorial seat,” he said. Similarly, a highly placed source from the North West, who sought not to be named, passed a vote of no confidence on Secondus, saying he cannot guarantee victory for the party any more.

“We all had confidence in Secondus when he emerged. But later we discovered there were issues that we did not envisage. The leadership of Prince Secondus has several lapses and breaches of the constitution of the PDP. “For instance, from the very time we lost the 2019 elections, I doubt if there has been any NEC or caucus meeting to discuss the issues and that is weighing us down. “If they can’t deliver us today, how can we be sure they will deliver us tomorrow? Actually, I cannot ask the other members of the NWC to resign but sincerely, Secondus should resign because I doubt if he is willing to get us to the Promised Land.

He should resign,” he said. But the Special Adviser on Media to Secondus, Mr. Ike Abonyi, dismissed the allegations in a telephone chat with our correspondent, saying the party had more serious issues to discuss on the threat to democracy. “The allegations are baseless and unsubstantiated. Let them provide evidence that Secondus is a thief; that he dipped his hands into the party’s funds. “The constitution says one NEC meeting to one quarter. And between February and now, he called NEC meetings three times. So he has not violated the PDP Constitution,” he said.

Spokesperson of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan also dispelled claims that Secondus was under pressure to vacate office. “The National Chairman is not under any pressure except the fact that we believe that democracy is gradually being killed by this government and we believe that as the main opposition party we have a responsibility to salvage democracy,” he said.

RomanceRe: Men Only: How Did You Get Through This? by Trimque2k1(m): 1:27pm On Nov 15, 2019

Women bashers, Clueless Men, and people that have never been in love, please keep off.
I'm already seeing some worthless "offpoint" statements and disregard. How difficult is it for Nigerian Adults to either be meaningfully useful, or ignore and mind their business?

To my fellow men, how did you get through this?

You fall in love with someone, and they leave you and never come back. You plead, and plead, and cry at their feet because you loved them sincerely. But they swear never to come back.

Not that you were a bad person that beat up your partner, cheated on them or treated them carelessly. You only made a few "common" mistakes like raising your voice, correcting certain flaws, or whatever it is that would go on in a relationship and normal couples will get through it. But your partner leaves you 3 times because he/she "wasn't happy" in the relationship because of these "common" mistakes/situations. You beg them and they come back, but this 4th time they leave you, you go on to try to get them back for days or weeks, with no success.

Usually they like to leave because they've found someone else. Sometimes they leave because they cannot cope with you. But you really want them for all their great qualities, and this 4th time, you've made up your mind to be good. To be better than you ever was, even though you cannot really see how those "common" relationship situations are worthy to be called faults that should lead to a breakup.

They make up their mind not to return to you. Cry, roll in mud, bang your head a hundred times but they're unimpressed. Their minds have been made up to "leave a man like you for a man that will value and cherish them". In fact seeing you, your calls, and texts make them angrier.

My friends, how did you get through this situation?
How did you comfort yourself with their absence with the fact that in your heart, you know they were too good but your small mistakes were huge to them and you let them down.

You wanted them forever. Marriage, children and happiness. Now you wonder if there are any people as good as they were. You're worried you'll never such love and kindness and commitment and passion and honestly and loyalty and dedication and pureness of heart, anywhere in the world again.

You really want them back. But they don't even want to see your name or face anywhere. They used to love you. But their fragile hearts couldn't endure your little naggings or jokes, or complaints and inconsistent love. They had their own shortcomings too. In fact, you reacted the times you did because of their actions. But they put all the blames on you. For love's sake you accept all the pains and blames and decide to fight further and keep things together. But they are now less interested. They're also worried about the tribal differences between your families.

Not that you're begging to be loved. No. They're unhappy because of you. Your "common" mistakes hurt and offend them. So you "beg" for forgiveness. But they've had enough of you.

Men that has been in these oversized shoes that are mine currently, how did you get through this?
You were not destined to be with that person for that long

I'll give you 7 detachment secrets as a man to live a happier life.

1. Be emotionally detached from politics and political argument
2. Be emotionally detached from relationship drama — yes, drama is good, but don't be emotionally attached to the drama
3. Be emotionally detached from money — yes, make money, but don't be devastated if you lose it
4. Be emotionally detached from having the best grades in school
5. You can be religious, but be emotionally detached from religious argument
6. Be emotionally detached from addiction — even though you're still doing it and it's hard to quit, do it without emotion — with time, you'll finally quit
7. Be emotionally detached from verbal abuse — haters will come to bring you down with negative words, but don't let it hurt you because words can't bring you down

Bonus:

1. Be emotionally detached from competition
2. Be emotionally detached from sports — (I like Chelsea, I like Barcelona, and I like Messi, but I don't really care if they win a match or lose a match. And I don't even care if someone says Ronald is better than Messi — I'm emotional detached from who is better).

Sadly, if you gamble with BetNaija, it will be hard for you to be emotionally detached. You better stop gambling and have freedom like me.
You for just say don't take anything in life so serious...

Good evening everyone in this forum.

I have a big problem in regards to my relationship with this man I love.

I met him in 2017,two years back to be precise.

It was love at first sight as we both click immediately after an hour conversation with him.

He introduced himself to me as a banker and a senior one at that.

He has always spoil me with money and stuffs.

Though we had kisses but no sex not until now.

He has been pestering me for sex after our family introductions 3 months back.

I have made it clear to him that i will break my virginity until our wedding night but he said No that he has to know if i am fertile before taking me to the altar.

This is tearing our relationship apart and the painful thing is that he is the one sponsoring my brother in tertiary institution and also promise to get me a slot where he works with his position.

I love him but his decision to break my virginity on the basis of fertility is breaking me emotionally and i don't know if i should call it quit with him and damn the consequences or yield to his demand and destroy my personal pride.

Pls what should I do?
4 things here that I could point out that has made you stayed with that man are all for ur personal gains.
1.He spoils you with money and stuffs
2.He promised to get u a job
3.your brother's school bills is on him
4.He's rich and has a good job
With all these point I can say you don't have natural love for this poor man in the first place.Insult me sha,me have said my own.Las las you nor go be first class virgin

Just as your economy can only be crippled by international crude oil prices because your whole economy and exports depends on it thus you going into recession in 2015,the only thing that can cripple Ghana's economy is sharp fall of gold, cocoa and oil prices on the international market. Nigerians doing businesses in Ghana are nuisance whom 2/3 are even informal and evade taxes. They only end up repatrating all their little profits out of the country to their mama's in their village. Why do you think the Ghanaian government made a law to ban foreigners from retailing in Ghana.About your 4 banks or so in Ghana, just this year, the government liquidated and forcefully closed down 15 solid Ghanaians and Nigerian banks in Ghana and nobody including the economy was affected. The workers were given package and laid off.The economy was rather made stronger. The government ended up pumping billions of dollars into the economy. Your petty banks will close and leave and the economy won't even tickle. We're looking for better investments from Asia and the Western countries not Nigeria.
