U can certify your documents at the German Consulate in Lagos. The first 3 sets of documents are free. Make sure to book an appointment for certification of documents before u go there.

This are the required documents for student visa I guess
• 2 Visa Application Forms (Application for a Residence Permit) – no copies required!
*• 2 signed declarations according to Section 54 Paragraph 2 Nr. 8 of the German Alien's
Law
• Valid passport +2 copies of its data page
• 2 identical passport pictures according to biometric specifications, one attached to
application form and one loose
*• School Leaving Certificates of Primary and Secondary School/ WAEC-Certificate
• Proof of previous academic studies/professional training/ work experience (if
applicable)
• Birth Certificate from National Population Commission or Declaration of Age deposed
to by head of Family (Please note that an NPC birth certificate may only be accepted
if the applicant is born after December 13th, 1992)
*• Biographically old documents (older than 5 years) to verify identity (such as library
card, baptism certificate, vaccination card etc.)
• Letter of admission to the university/ Confirmation of registration for language course
*• Proof of knowledge of the German language, if applicable
*• A “WAEC-direct access card“ (scratch card to access WAEC results online, available
e. g. at Spring Bank and Wema Bank)
• prepaid courier envelope by any major courier service
• handwritten letter of motivation
• Curriculum Vitae stating all visited schools, universities as well as listing all employ-
ers until date of visa application
• Proof of financial means for one year by one of the following options:
a) Confirmation of blocked German bank account bearing an amount of
minimum 8.640,-€. Please refer to our website www.nigeria.diplo.de for further

b) official German declaration of sponsorship („Verpflichtungserklärung“) for the

its not a difficult thing just log on to fintiba.com and you can do it.. You might be ask to do video or photo verification which is not difficult...

It is not difficult actually,but what did you use for the verification. Your phone or laptop
If it is your phone , how easy was it to take a picture of your international passport with front camera or did you change it to back camera

The easiest is the one you have problems with. Just put your passport on the table and snapp the data page. Better you use a scanning app like Cam scanner, it will come up clean.

So I don't need to use that camera on their site
I sent the documents to them by mail but on reply yet, I think it has to be through that camera

i dont understand what you mean by certification after admission. A set of document is made up of transcript,bsc cert,waec result, reference letter, proficiency letter. Hope i have answered your question? Meanwhile which school did you get admission to that is asking for certified doc after

I am getting tired of this Fintiba website, I just did the video identification , how long will it take to get a blocked account and can I send a mail for appointment without a block account?
All I have now is just admission letter

The process on Fintiba seems to be too much,which one is video verification, I need a block account fast so I can apply for interview(I hope I am using the right words because I am a newbie)

Notary lawyers charge #500 per page. I advice you to go to federal high court it is cheaper at #10/ page but go very early and with your ATM card. They use remitter pos. Unless what you are doing is not to certify your documents for admissions or verification. Go to any chamber and ask about notary lawyers they will direct you to their offices at pH. I only know about two in Enugu
