Family › Re: Why Do Singles In the U.S/U.K Still Prefers To Go And Marry From Naija by tRoOE(f): 7:00pm On Feb 13, 2008
what gave you the impression i hang around Nigerians.

Never judge a dude by his crib/cars/phone.  A lot of the guys u think are poor are often rich with their fortunes in Nigeria.
A lotta people use the bus/train and have more than 10 exotic cars and houses in Lagos.
Most City executives don't drive . . . .does that mean they cannot afford it?
There's more u need to learn . . . . Things aint always what it seems
Off course i know that, but that isn't their money. All those material things you mentioned aren’t theirs.

Their parents worked and sweats to be were they at today, now is their (Nigerian guys) own time to do the same.

The funny thing is that, you are making it seem like I said Nigerian guys abroad are poor, I know majority of them came from  a wealthy homes, but what am trying to say is just because their parents are rich doesn't automatically mean they’re (Nigerian guys) rich

na wa ooo see how you twisted my words, just becos i stated "Fingers are not equal" doesn't mean they should work hard if they want to accomplish something meaningful in life
Culture › Re: Yorubas In Nigeria That Can't Speak Yoruba by tRoOE(f): 6:25pm On Feb 13, 2008
Real shame and it's also sad cry cry cry too those they can't speak their native language, how do you communicate with your parents especially when trying to say something private in a public place.

My sisters grew up aboard can speak but not fluently and understand, i speak it well even thou my parents and people I pronounce things funny at times, but who care as long am understood

Even in fact we have this rule in my house that no "English speaking", if you are caught , you either pay or get slap

Chacal:
I think u need to define what ABROAD means in this context? Do u mean in the USA or the UK or both?
Both USA and UK

Nigerian men abroad staying with their parents?
Yes oh, majority still lives with parents or other family members.

Most Nigerians i know around me left their parents in Nigeria.
Well that's because they’re going for study abroad, and they usually live on campus housing and pay one time fee and no utilities bills

The ghetto gear grossly depends on the age group of the dudes u know . . . Roc-a-wear gear on Nigerian men? I think not!!!!!
Am talking about guys ranging from 21-27.
Yes Roca wear on Nigerian men, the ones back home are the ones that wear lactose, Hackett, true religion, evius e.t.c, give they props for dressing sef

Nigerians abroad live without thinking about tomorrow, club, party and shop?
How is that different to Nigerians in Lagos? How many of em even have a current account, let alone savings account.
The people abroad have more opportunities and advantages than Nigerians back home.

They might not have a saving Acct but they usually buy shares and stocks unlike the one abroad that doesn't think about things like that.

How are they suppose to have checking if they got no jobs even with all the degrees they have, and the unemployment rate is pretty high back home

Most people i know in the UK stay alone in their rented apartments or house-owners. . . They are highly responsible.
Come on who are you deceiving, just because I don't leave in UK doesn't mean I don't know what’s going on there, UK is a very expensive place to leave, so tell me how  is it possible for a student to rent an apartments talk less of owing a house/crib withoutout his/her parents assist.
Just because you are able to get your own place doesn't mean it easy for everyone else, am sure your parents helped you to where you are today, and let not forget "These fingers are not equal"

There's nuthing wrong in clubbing every friday to UNWIND after a stressful week.
There is more to life than clubbing every weekend, life is to precious for that. Don't get me wrong, am not saying you shouldn't go clubbing and all that, but it shouldn't be a frequent thing.

The main point is setting one's priorities right. . . . Once u pay your bills, put some money aside for em rainy days then one can club/party.
Life is too short to deny meself some luxuries.
And what will the priority be.

Nigerians abroad should not be crucified . . .  . They are only living their lives the way one should
LOL If you say so

Best Friend - Brandy

To my lovely friend, my home gurl kiss kiss luv ya, you know yourself

Whenever I'm down, I call on you my friend
A helping hand you lend, in my time of need so I
I'm calling you now, just to make it through
What else can I do, don't you hear my please
Friends may come and friends may go

But you should know that
I've got your back, it's automatic
So never hesitate to call
Cuz I'm your sister and always for ya and I

[CHORUS:]
I don't know what I'd ever do without you
From the beginning to the end
You've always been here right beside me
So I'll call you my best friend
Through the good times and the bad ones
Whether I lose or If I win
I know one thing that never changes and
That's you as my best friend

Whenever I'm down
With all that's going on, It's really going on
Just one of those days
You say the right thing, to keep me moving
To keep me going strong, what else can I say

Friends are there through thick and thin
Well I've been told that
And I believe that it's automatic
Call me when you need a friend
Cuz I'm your sister and always for ya and I don't know

[REPEAT CHORUS (2x)]

I'll be there for you
When you're going through,
wouldn't you be my friend
Friend you can count on me
Call me when you need me

@ tRoOE,

What kind of Nigerian guys do u meet? Shopping, clubbing and sex?
Name me any country where people don't club, shop and shag. Nigeria is not an exception. You find these things everywhere.

It's a bit unfair to have generalised that Nigerians abroad are idiots and useless.
Nigerian guys here ain't useless. . . . they are only looking out for themselves.
No one wants to get caught in the plague.
Who said something about meeting them, omo I have more class than that but its just something I witness daily from this so called Nigerians aboard

Most Nigerians abroad still leaves with their parents, all they have to show is their cars and those called ghettos designers clothing like roca wear and co.

There are limits to clubbing e.t.c especially when you are planning to be responsible man and have a great future for yourself and whom u are getting married to

Most of them work get pay and blast it on shopping, partying, clothing and not think about saving.

Some of them don't even have a saving acct grin grin grin

They live day by day and not think about tomm

Romance › Re: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being Single? by tRoOE(f): 4:23am On Feb 13, 2008
What is the enjoyment there of been "Single" undecided, because the only outcome you get are sadness, depressing and loneliness

Don't deceive yourselves, the only reason why most of your like the single status is because you can sleep with has many partners as you want without feeling urge of guilty since your are not in a relationship.

I will rather go with the hot head because my guy stubbornness turns me on tongue, prefer someone that doesn't let me get my ways all the time.

Dislike submissive guy, get irritating and boring after a while, need to make the relationship spicy sometimes
Family › Re: Why Do Singles In the U.S/U.K Still Prefers To Go And Marry From Naija by tRoOE(f): 3:33am On Feb 13, 2008
Nigerians guys abroad are so freaking useless, all they are good at is shopping, clubbing and sex. No plans for the future, act so childish, their mentality of thinking is very low.

They are so full of themselves and brags too much about whom the slept with, like they get pay for that!!!! Stupid Idiots

And you don’t know if his interested in your papers or you.

Thank God for bring such a lovely, smart, good-looking and very understanding man into my life when I least unexpected it, because I can’t imagine myself now looking for a serious guy who is ready to settle down 2yrs from now.

Music/Radio › Re: Artistes That Have No Business In The Music Industry by tRoOE(f): 5:33am On Feb 12, 2008

Majority of Nigerian Artistes, especially those one claiming to be rappers

Then those want to be Reggae singers, trying to speak with the Jamaican dialect, na wa 4 our Naija people artist.

And the so called Afro Hip pop R&B singer that can't sing but makes so much noise AKA D banj, how in the world did he get recording deal.
