In an official communication dated 20th November 2007, the office of the United nations (UN) Security Council Subsidiary Organs Branch affirmed that the “name (of Ahmed Idris Nasreddin) has been removed from the Consolidated List maintained by the Security Council Committee, pursuant to Resolution 1267 {1999 – see Security Council SC/9172 15 November 2007 Department of Public Information * News and Media Division * New York SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REMOVES ONE INDIVIDUAL, 12 ENTITIES}. On November 28, 2007 the same office formally granted Mr. Ahmed Nasreddin [/i]a clean bill of health, stating that he is “no longer the subject to the travel ban imposed on listed individuals by the Security Council”.

In his usual style, the clearance has produced in him a new perspective to life and has provided him a fresh impetus and zeal especially in his conviction and undiluted commitment to support the provision of those basic things of life to as many people as possible, and also in the pursuit of that which will benefit mankind generally.

He is a household name in Africa, Malaysia, Europe and the Gulf State; and simply because he has wormed himself into the heart of many, irrespective of status or position.
