I like the guy response to his foolish friend that don’t have a brain of his own to think.

You will see supposedly graduate capping that Tinubu own this, own that, own those, and I will be like how and how?

Let’s even agree Tinubu owns all the building in Lagos, at least he invested it in his state and not like the likes of Peter Obi thief that prefer stuffing his money in offshore Panama to help other country men.

This is exactly how the hated Awolowo, spoke about him in a despicable manner and even continue to pass the hate onto their children even after baba’s death.

These same people hated Abiola, push the narrative of religious bigotry against him, failed to vote for him even when nearly all other southern states voted the man. They even went to the extent of spearheading million March against him.

These same people started now with Asiwaju, a man that have been very fair to all tribe in Lagos even when he became governor in ‘99. Some of them are in his government, an action they can never reciprocate in their region. Yet, they continue to try to paint Tinubu in a tribal color.

What you can’t have you detest!

This is my joy, NO IBO man will be president in 2023, no matter how bitter they become about Tinubu, it won’t make them president so at least we can have more of teeth gnashing from them while IPOB terrorists continue their senseless crusade!

Tinubu's government in Lagos pioneered a lot of public initiatives and solutions in different sectors that other states later copied.

LASTMA for traffic.
LAWMA for waste disposal
Enron IPP for electrical power
Revamping of Primary Health Centers
BRT for public transportation
Local Government Areas were increased to 57 (37 LCDAs that will in due time become full-fledged LGAs).
State monthly IGR rose from N600m to about N10b between 1999 to 2007.
The very 1st state to embrace digital technology (Oracle) in managing its civil service and public database.

Return of all missionary schools to their original owners, despite the disapproval of his fellow Muslims who didn't want their own schools back and wanted the Christian schools to remain state owned, Tinubu did not yield to their parochial opinions.
Despite the return to private ownership, all students who were already in JSS2 to SSS3, were exempt from the new school fees charged by the returning proprietors as Lagos State was paying a yearly subsidy to the new ownership to cover the students mapped as state responsibility until the last set of JSS2 public students graduated 5years later.

Tinubu was the one who showed other state governments the power that was inherent in a state government and the separation of power between federal vs state.

Tinubu has managed a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society, and is better experienced at being an impartial and sensitive leader at the national level for a heterogeneous country like Nigeria.

Politics › Re: Between Peter Obi (PDP) And Asiwaju Tinubu (APC), Who Will You Vote And Why? by trutharena: 1:18pm On Apr 14, 2022
I will vote Tinubu.

—Tinubu established that Enron deal, if the FG had allowed it to flourish, by now most states would have followed suit and we won’t need to be burdened with centralizing the grid like we have today. Imagine since the 2000s, by now some states would have been lit up by themselves.

—Tinubu is the only politician among the current contenders that have built government structure and institution. No other person come close to the man. What Nigeria need is strong instructions and structure.

—RRS as it stand today is the best police force in this nation. No other police formation come close both aesthetic wise and response time wise.

—BRT system is one of the best transport system by any government in Nigeria. He constructed the line for the BRT and any successive Lagos governor just need to service and plug in BRT buses. That is a man with foresight for the future.

—What about LCDAs, currently now Lagos is in a league of her own. You have LCDA chairmen building hospitals that some state governors can never dream of.

—People say it’s because Lagos is rich, I just laugh. Rivers state is stikingly rich too but you can’t pinpoint one institutional reform in that state that can outlive the current governor. Rivers revenue is massive with her small population compared to Lagos, and yet it is not eldorado yet.

—Asiwaju is the kind you need in a president. We need to build institution and structure that can outlast the current regime. Continuity is the success of Lagos, we need that in Nigeria so so so much!

Asiwaju is the answer!

Lagos Year 2000 — The Lagos State government has approved and disbursed bursary grants to 75 of the 92 law school students that applied for the grant. Consequent upon the approval, N3 million cheque was at the weekend presented to the beneficiaries who are of Lagos State origin by the state Education Commissioner, Chief Adio Badmus. Each awardee got N40,000.

P.M. News recalls that the award was previously N5,000 but the Tinubu administration increased it to N40,000. The state government had earlier in the year given out N33.5 million as bursary grants to 3,342 undergraduates of Lagos State origin pursuing various courses in tertiary institutions across the federation. Each of the students collected N10,000. Similarly, handicapped students are to enjoy a bursary grant of N20,000 each on yearly basis throughout the duration of their stay in any higher institution. Meanwhile, the Lagos State government has commended Agbowa and Iworo Ajido communities in Ikorodu and Badagry local government areas for donating hectares of land for the construction of model colleges in their communities.

Commending the communities, the Education Commissioner said in the advanced nations of the world, individuals and groups make financial donations and trust funds for the development of education in their countries. He urged the communities to be prepared for another assignment as preparation for the creation of model colleges are in top gear. He further stressed that corporate and voluntary organisations should support free education programme which the state had initiated, being capital intensive. Agbowa Ikosi community donated 18.3 hectres while Iworo-Agido donated 12 hectres of land.
