APC Is Not a Refuge for Collapsing Politicians - Baba Bisi Akande It reached Adeleke turn, he's been rejected on every side. He should work on himself. That man na big failure in governance |
Adeleke rumour defection na Prank Cameraman, Lets go home. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Chief Bisi Akande Warns Against Governor Adeleke’s Defection to APC Ahead of 2026 governorship election. “Let Him Test His Popularity at the Poll First” – Former Osun Governor Declares Former Governor of Osun State and pioneer National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebisi Akande, has issued a firm statement rejecting any plans for the defection of Governor Ademola Adeleke to the APC ahead of the 2026 elections. Describing such a move as “politically dangerous, morally confusing, and strategically ill-advised,” Chief Akande warned that allowing Governor Adeleke to defect to the APC after benefiting from the platform of the now-crippled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would undermine the party’s credibility and insult the loyalty of long-standing APC members in Osun State. “Let him test his popularity at the 2026 polls. If the people of Osun still stand with him, he can then consider joining APC as a free citizen, not as a sitting governor hiding under a collapsing structure.” “The APC Is Not a Refuge for Collapsing Politicians” Chief Akande, known for his candor and principled approach to party politics, insisted that the APC must remain a disciplined platform with ideological clarity. He said the party must not become “a dumping ground” for political actors abandoning ship in search of survival. “We formed the APC not as a shelter for politicians seeking relevance after failure, but as a movement grounded in progressive ideas and accountable leadership. Governor Adeleke’s defection at this stage would distort that vision,” he said. “Osun APC must not be sacrificed for temporary political deals. Those who have built the party from scratch, who stood firm through electoral defeats and court battles, cannot be asked to step aside for someone who only just yesterday led the charge against us.” Chief Akande also cautioned the national leadership of the APC and party stakeholders in the South-West to resist any temptation to hastily accept Governor Adeleke into the fold without thorough consultation with the Osun APC structure. He further advised that any defection must be done post-election, when the people have spoken, and when individuals come into the party on the strength of merit, not calculation. he concludes. https://www.newsindicator.com.ng/2025/07/13/chief-bisi-akande-warns-against-governor-adelekes-defection-to-apc-ahead-of-2026-governorship-election/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwLghEVjbGNrAuCEOGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeZJKzB7bWWxkubxFEuIhjhPzMytWgwzKKHN03z8U7yy0xhZYp1HMe3W5Q82E_aem_YAWtQb3kpH_eTjbclfwH2Q

Adeleke decamping to APC will spell doom to his second term re-election bid. |
NOBODY KNOWS TOMORROW The same Governor Ademola Adeleke who used executive orders to dethrone monarchs, has taken several drastic measures, including: - Sacking 1,500 teachers - Sacking 500 health workers - Sacking 20,000 O'Yes cadets - Sacking 3,000 O'meal O'Meals Vendors - Withholding the last month's salary of political appointees under Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in September 2022. I wonders if Governor Ademola Adeleke would have embarked on such divisive actions if he remembered that nobody knows what tomorrow holds. His actions seem to be driven by hatred and a disregard for the welfare of the people of Osun State. Popoola Opeyemi Utility writing from Boripe Local Government, Iragbiji . ✍️

Adeleke's has been rejected totally in APC in Osun State. His second ambition is dead on arrival |
Adeleke is highly confused. Even none of party Faithfuls will follow Adeleke to APC. I guess it's Adeleke family that want to decamp to APC. Adeleke second term is in jeopardy. No hope for his reelection bid. |
A youth group, Osun Progressive Youth (O-SPY), on Thursday called on President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reject any defection move by Governor Ademola Adeleke into the party, dismissing claims that he enjoys massive support in Osun State ahead of the 2026 governorship election. The group argued that the APC’s support base in the state has grown stronger since Adeleke assumed office in 2022 due to what they described as his unimpressive governance style, which has weakened the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a statement issued by its coordinator, Tunmise Ajiboye, and made available to newsmen, the group recalled that the PDP has continued to lose key members, including former aides and loyalists of ex-Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, to the APC since 2022. “Following insinuations that Adeleke is attempting to join APC, we want to state it clearly that Osun people are ready to reject both Adeleke and PDP in 2026. APC has never lost any of its members to PDP, rather, more members of ruling party, PDP joined our party since 2022. “Ex-National Deputy Chairman of PDP, Chief Shuiab Oyedokun, Prince Dotun Babayemi(Strong PDP from Osun West), ex-SSG to Oyinlola, Kazeem Adio, ex-Chief of Staff of Oyinlola, Peter Babalola, PDP Rep aspirant, Kayode Oduooye and many more dumped Adeleke for APC. “The claim that Adeleke dynasty dictate what happen in Osun political structure is a lie. We want to bring the attention of President Tinubu to the fact that Osun is for APC and he should not be deceived by Adeleke’s acclaimed support base as a negotiation bait into APC.” He added: “We learnt that some people had been lying about the political power of the Adeleke family in Ede and Osun State at large, but this is a lie, Chief Bisi Akande defeated Adeleke’s elder brother, Isiaka with wide margin in 1999. He lost Senate seat to Fajimi. “Subsequently, he lost party guber primary to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola in 2002 after he was compensated with a Senate ticket in 2007. In 2011, as a sitting senator, the late Isiaka Adeleke contested against Senator Mudasiru Hussein, but was defeated by a wide margin. “In 2014, Senator Otunba Iyiola Omisore defeated the late Isiaka Adeleke in the PDP primary, prompting his defection to the APC, where Aregbesola compensated him with a Senate ticket, there more history.” The group expressed fear that if Adeleke defects to APC and given guber ticket, he may lose to any candidate the ADC presents—because the PDP is already dead. https://thenationonlineng.net/osun-youth-group-urges-tinubu-apc-to-reject-adelekes-defection-bid/amp/

Fearurcreeator:it's highly disturbing, they were so humble when they don't have any money but unfortunately, money really exposed their characters and attitudes towards the people that are watching them. It's very unfortunate. |
Babangidapikin:yes, some graduates learn skills too. Infact some has already involved in practicals than theory before studying in schools. |
Angelfrost:yes. They believed once they have highest numbers of followers based, they are made for life. |
free2ryhme:he just want to mock the struggling students that's going to school in Nigeria. Unfortunately, he's using the percentage of unemployment in Nigeria to mock students that are drilling themselves to acquire their degrees. |
Angelfrost:at times you may be saying he's chasing clout, but he's sending bad messages to thr struggling ones that are learning in Tertiary institutions too. |
Pickieox:yes. It's their leaders that caused it. They refused to build schools for them, cos' they took them as slaves. Very bad |
DrFunmisticGlow:hmm 🧐 very deep response here. He quickly forgot that alot of bsc and masters degree graduates are now learning one skills or the other becoming their boss online and offline. Most of them are even building their supportive base too. When much money enters one head, one becomes insane with people. |
Fearurcreeator:exactly ooooo. When they don't have nothing, no one even knows them on the media space, it's when they have money that pride set in. I don't give them the attention here. They are just living a wayward lives because of the money they have. |
Pickieox:it's the monetisd social media apps that gives them the money and also makes them not to have sense again. Once they have huge followers base, they became emergency celebrities. |
Nigerians CV on peller DM will be much ooo. Nigeria system isn't helping matters. Poverty is bad. |
Poverty is bastard. Peller never have a degree not to talk of having a masters degree. Na who get money know roads. What money can't doesn't exist. Just have this money. Hustle oooo WASC Holder, Peller Seeks Master’s Degree Holder As Photographer Published 8 minutes ago on July 8, 2025By Benjamin Abioye Popular TikTok personality Peller has once again stirred public debate—this time not over a viral video, but a job offer that has raised eyebrows and sparked strong reactions online. In a video shared on X, Peller announced that he is looking to hire two photographers from a pool of twenty applicants. The surprising part, however, was his stated requirement: candidates must have a Master’s degree to qualify for the position, which pays ₦500,000 monthly. According to Peller, the requirement is justified, as banks also demand advanced degrees while offering even lower salaries. He said if graduates are willing to pursue such roles, then they should also be willing to meet similar demands for better pay. The comment, intended to defend his position, only fueled more controversy. Many Nigerians took to social media to criticize the requirement as unnecessary and even insulting, arguing that skill and portfolio should matter more than academic credentials in creative fields like photography. “How does having a Master’s degree improve the quality of your work?” asked @THE_CRAFT3R. “He should be asking about their past projects instead of a degree.” Another user, @MascotOgbe, wrote, “If you want to be cheaply popular in Nigeria, just be stupid. Peller is a perfect example.” Some accused him of mocking the education system. @PatrikoBayern said, “He doesn’t have to disrespect Master’s certificates. That’s an absurdity. Don’t mock the certification. It cost money and intellect.” Several others pointed out the irony in requiring an advanced degree for a hands-on job like photography. “In which countries do video editors or cinematographers require a Master’s degree to work?” asked @digitalaom. “It’s laughable.” Others, while not necessarily supporting the requirement, defended Peller’s right to set the terms for his own job offer. “Well, it’s his job and his money,” wrote @VictorNUde. “Man has the right to state his terms. Really.” User @itsnrman joked about the situation, saying, “I honestly thought he would ask about their past works and all that, not MasterCard or Master’s degree.” Some took a more practical view, noting that Peller’s offer includes significant pay and other opportunities. “You guys are missing the bigger picture,” said @anthonygeraldoo. “He’s offering ₦500,000 and chances to travel. That’s more than most civil servants make monthly.” Others emphasized that the outrage says more about the state of education and employment in Nigeria than about Peller himself. “Our system has ridiculed the educated because education has lost value,” said @princedegoke. “Our government failed us, not Peller.” Still, not everyone was forgiving. Some felt that Peller’s tone and delivery were mocking and that he was using his platform to insult people struggling in a difficult economy. “There are many ways to offer jobs, not like a ‘hoodlum,’” commented @SANDCOVIC. “He could have done this better.” Despite the backlash, a few users saw it as a strategic move to limit applicants to only serious candidates. “It was an exaggeration so only serious people will come,” said @BwoyFinex. “He shouldn’t be questioned about his education level. A lot of rich men in the world aren’t even graduates.” Popular Actor Reveals How He Walked Out On Date Over ₦40k Meal (Video) Others agreed. “His money, his job, his terms,” said @Timmynuel1. “In the end, the job could come with more than just a paycheck—free accommodation and travel too.” The controversy surrounding Peller’s job announcement touches on larger conversations in Nigeria: the value of education, the reality of employment, and how fame and influence are used in today’s digital society. While some find his requirement absurd, others believe it’s his right—and perhaps even a clever way to spark dialogue. At the time of reporting, Peller has not made any follow-up statement addressing the backlash. https://gwg.ng/2025/07/08/wasc-holder-peller-seeks-masters-degree-holder-as-photographer-video/amp/
