Gernny:Lmao! This is for short term visas, even if your travel date lapses for long term, they can’t refuse you based on that.. |
In my own opinion VFS people are not even helping in this visas matter, I understand they are third party but they should give meaningful information about visa processing and the delays since we are submitting through them. If you contact them now they will say they have no say in visas we should contact high commission everytime. |
Abeg o, Long term Visas, who have gotten a decision from the consulate? Either Study or Critical Skills? Omo the wait is too long na? At least there is a little improvement in short term sha |
Blurpy:They started again since 10th of October this year and they go like 2 times a week. |
Anniebam:Use South African Airways, They are very reliable when it comes to boarding with an E-Visa |
Anniebam:I don’t think so since it’s different applications on different platform. |
Anniebam:Well I do not think so. And they will put event has passed or date have passed. I know these people. |
Offsetdrip:And the most annoying thing is they won’t say anything, they’ll just keep mute. But don’t just withdraw your passport yet. Just hold till like January. |
Offsetdrip:What date was on your flight reservation |
Offsetdrip:Also you can contact your school to write to the consulate here in nigeria that you’re a genuine applicant of the institution and that they should intervene in this delay of study visa. |
Offsetdrip:Have you tried to track it at the vfs site? |
Rachyekong:A study visa? Don’t v withdraw yet, instead contact them. Tell vfs guys to give you the consulate contact details. |
Offsetdrip:For what session? Plus what date did you put for your date of departure? On your flight reservation? |
Offsetdrip:Omo I guess no one o! Did you apply recently and when? The person I know that got in October waited for 10/11 weeks before he got an outcome. |
Sanctus1:You have to verify it first. Because if you submit it like that, they will refuse you on unverifiable yellow card. In fact that is rampant now than any other reason. Scan it and input your details on it. If your details can’t be found please validate it. Quick even if you’ve submitted, try and do something about it before they treat your application! Try and validate it yourself o and see your details and everything comes out successfully!! Alternatively use this website and input your details https://yellowcardnigeria.com/ |
Oluwaloniglory7:No!!!! There is cause for alarm o. You have to verify it first. Because if you submit it like that, they will refuse you on unverifiable yellow card. In fact that is rampant now than any other reason. Scan it and input your details on it. If your details can’t be found please validate it. Quick even if you’ve submitted, try and do something about it before they treat your application! Try and validate it yourself o and see your details and everything comes out successfully!! |
flavann:What visa category did you apply for ? |
dennis201:What route this you use ? |
Gernny:https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/ |
ifeoluwasegun:This thing looks so strange to me because they waited till the time elapsed before they replied you. And you applied 3 months before the day of departure. I feel it’s intentional or something. I’d advise you to re-apply on the e-vfs page. Not the e-DHA! |
Poetchi:I doubt if the embassy close for the year, they only go on public holiday both for their home country & Nigeria. Vfs haven’t announced yet, but vfs in SA is closing on 20th |
Gernny:Use the E-vfs, but then this is festive period you might not get an outcome this month. But still try to use the e-VFS, it’s still faster than this physical submission. They are trying to clear backlogs at the SAHC, Abuja. Plus you suppose no book flight yet till your visa decision is out, Well if you can move it to a much later date, just in case. |
Sanctus1:Port Health at Wharf Apapa, Seme Borders, MMIA Ikeja and Abuja Airport. That’s all |
talentarena:You applied yesterday and got today? Wow! Why don’t they allow long term visa ♂️ |
The South African Consul General in Nigeria, Mr Darkey Africa has revealed that the submission of fraudulent documents is responsible for the delay in the issuance of South African visas to Nigerians. Darkey added that the other reason for the delay is the high demand for the visa. He made this revelation known to Tribune Online in a chat yesterday. Meanwhile, Africa noted that the delay would be well managed if straightforward applications are made. You know the demands for South African visas is quite high and the turnover takes too long because people submit fraudulent documents. “I have met the then President of Travel Agents. We made a presentation to them. We showed them the frequency of fraudulent applications as opposed to those who are compliant. “We told them if we eliminate this, the turnover will be as quick as imagined.” He said. “There is probably a misunderstanding. The rules and conditions for applications are the same. Any embassy you go to, it is the same answer given by their officials. Nigerians are noted fo forgery of documents and fraud. This is what led to internet fraud and This is why our prayers do not get answered by the Almighty God. Presenting forged documents to embassy officials lengthens the time it takes for verification. To do a diligent vetting of these falsified documents will waste time. At the end, the official will reject the application. Nigerians will go out to complain that the embassies are not issuing visas to them. Whereas, it is their faults. These officials have their country’s national interest and These are the Nigerian citizens that go overseas to soil the name of our country by becoming vagabonds and rely on their host country’s hospitality and behave badly when they do not meet the expectations of their host country. To the foreign embassy thoroughly vet and only approve visas for those applicants with genuine documents https://tribuneonlineng.com/fraudulent-documents-increased-demand-responsible-for-delay-of-south-african-visa-to-nigerians-%E2%80%95-consul-general/ |
Jxool:It quite faster in other countries than in Nigeria . |
dennis201:Omo you gats find oooo, or you go use black market rate on Chippers on Appstore |
Tesclaros:No! It’s the SA host that needs to give him utility bill like electricity or water. This is to confirm the physical address of the SA Host and less likely his name. Wetin SA High Commission wan use Naija Nepa bill for ? |
Who on this thread applied for Study/Critical/Medical Long term visa? OCT/NOV Period. |
Anniebam:Most likely sms or mail, less likely call. |
D27finny:According to the website E-vfs, if all things go well. 10 working days! From the day of your application |
Sanctus1:Now, use the E-VFS site for application and upload clear and legit documents so they won’t delay you. |
I applied September I never knew it will take this long
