Mind you, Minna is no longer cheap in terms of Accommodation and food as it use to be years back..

accommodation in a good secured Serene environment in minna which is paramount is nothing less than 500 - 700k currently for 1 bed...

Exactly 91k to be precise, but 25% And 30% salary review by Fed Govt for CONRAISS and others has increased it abit to around 140k+..

Okay I can't type it all here, I won't go deep just a rough summary, in NECO a degree holder is placed on Level 7, level 7 basic is not up to hundred K or VERY FEW thousands above hundred, but I will get the exact figure later, their staff gets their money from ASSIGNMENTS coz the salary is not good which many don't believe. So, NECO conducts 4-5 exams annually, each exam has ASSIGNMENTS as they call it there, ranging from CAPTURING, DISTRIBUTIONS(for some specific set of staff), EXAM MONITORING, MARKING, SCANNING (for ICT staff only as NECO has only one point of Result precessing which is the ICT in minna), all exams have scanning allowance attached to it and all ICT staff including the securities, the causals, cleaners, corpers, IT students are all entitle to the scanning allowance, an edge for ICT staff and you can only be posted there as a staff if you study IT related courses, and many more, DISTRIBUTION is juicy but you must own a car before you can apply for that, all of which comes with a DTA, which is calculated based on number of nights, a staff is entitled to AT LEAST 2 assignment annually, it can be more, the biggest which the June/July as they call it, you'll be posted to one of the 36 states including FCT and the 7 countries writing NECO exams ( which you know you must have a special connect before you're posted outside Nigeria), last year it was the Registrar himself that went to Saudi Arabia, both for accreditation, and the main exams as some schools in Saudi now write NECO. A friend was recently posted to one of these African countries and his DTA was 1.4m, the DTA covers daily feeding, accomodations & local runnings which is now around 15k daily for level 9 downward, and for the senior staff normally used to have like 3-5k difference. NECO has no level 10 but during the last replacement we had they have/want to introduce level 10 so we don't know the modalities for now, so if you're going for 30 nights is 15k*30 which then additional TP will be added based on your destination as TP are not flat rates but based on how far the destination is,..most of their staff live on these allowances as the basic salary is poor. there are more explanations but manage this for now

You tried with your insight and analysis kudos.. But my brother was part of the last 2yrs... 2023 Yr ending staff recruited.. Let me just clarify here.. As per level 7 graduate level, you are only entitled for 1 assignment in a year, and that is June/ July SSCE exams.. The DTA is very poor.. If you don't have someone in a state you are posted to, your money go enter the exam process. Most NECO staff live like beggers and bus conductor lifestyles during this major assignment period.

As per the salary aspects, you are also correct, just that the recent salary review by the federal Govt uped it abit higher.. I meant the CONRAISS structure and.

Note: despite the risk of the work, kidnapping and accident , travelling to different states, day and night during assignments period no hazard allowance, no other allowance as a neco staff, no 13th month salary or whatever..

If you not just ready to move to minna Headquarters with your family.. Just forget about NECO job..

But in all, work no dey Nigeria, so keep the one that comes first and pray for better future..


Note :NECO jst included level 10 back in their system, and entry level still remain as level 7 instead of level 8

These recruitment process have taken too long, haba, is it NIA abi NNPC recruitment.. Let them do and release this list let people's mind be calm or channel ones energy into other things..

The more they delay the list, the more difficult it becomes and more intrest to please.

Why is it sad bringing up the issue here? Nairaland don't have experience doctors as members? , or you think most people have not experienced such personally to educate and guide him properly?
The young man needs to know what he's getting into, and i pray he has money for those medical consultations and solution findings.

It is a general issue. NECO shared APLs without getting schedule from IPPiS. When the APL was shared, I forwarded it to someone at IPPIS and He told me that they haven't submitted for capturing. However, they did that few weeks ago. So you will be captured soon.

Thank you very much for this information, it's a relief going into the festive period, hopefully we will be captured early January next year because this year is not feasible for the capturing again.

It's not a one man issue, it's a general problem, we don't really know what's delaying IPPIS and NECO to commence the capturing.

Good day my Amiable comrades. I got an appointment letter with NECO on October , done with documentation in Minna HQ, we were supposed to be captured on first of November last month, but we got a general message that it's been postponed and new date will be communicated back to us..
Till now no further update. Please can anyone kindly give and insight what might be the problem? Am really becoming frustrated.
