It's a simple density population calculation , south east has the highest population per square mile in Nigeria , if you calculate the number of Rich people per square mile, south east will still be the highest cause they have the highest population per square mile, simple as that

The north has the lowest number of poor people per square mile cause they have enough lands to accommodate their population,they have the lowest density population per square mile

the way you people think the north is that poor is very interestin....

I never said the stat is wrong, I only said you don't understand the stat. The stat is very accurate but it is only relating poverty to land size.
On the other hand, when you relate poverty to population size, the SE is the least poor.
Do you now understand?

The total number of poor people in Nigeria is 133 million. The population of SE is 16 million, so the remaining 117 million must come from other States. This stat is meaningless. A little math for you, there are two areas, one is 100 square mile and another is 200 square mile. If 200 people live in both areas and half of then are poor, then you have 100/100 and 100/200 poor people per square mile. So you have 1 and 0.5 which implies that there are less poor people in the first area than in the second area.

In reality same number of poor people are in both areas. Useless Stat! Poverty alleviation of the government always favor the North, so even the FG don't believe this stat.

So the data used to make the calculations shows the NW has a population of 45 million and the SE a population of 22 million.
Meanwhile, Kaduna alone is almost 2x the SE. Do you see why the stats does not reflect actual poverty?

So the south is about 2 time smaller than the NW in population but it is over 8 times smaller in land size.
Just take your time to do the calculations.
