So sad! I saw it this morning while plying the road to Lagos and I must confess it was a gory sight. It just happened some minutes before I passed by. The incident really changed my mood today and I can't still get over it. One funny thing was that the place was deserted this evening around 6:40pm as if nothing ever happened there! What a life; just a vapour that appears and disappears. May their souls R.I.P!!! So sad! 1 Like |

I don't really know which exact thread this should go to but I hope the Moderator will help me to sort that out if I were to be wrong. Having been to different parts and location in NIGERIA most especially the core region of the country I still don't know why an average person you meet outside being one-on-one conversations quickly assumes you are living in Lagos. I received a call from a particular customer service of a telecommunications company and while I was being interviewed on their service delivery and my current location was asked and I said somewhere outside Lagos; my interviewer was like you are not in Lagos? The funny thing is that my address was rightly stated that I actually activated their service usage outside Lagos since then and now. Why is it that Lagos is like the only place on an average Nigerian map!

Wow! HAppy Married Life bro! I know the groom back in Ibadan. From the Ibiyemi's family at old Ife road in Ibadan. He graduated from OAU Demography and social statistics..we were in the same faculty then. So I need to also let you know we once attended the same church..Fountain of grace chapel in Ibadan. He attended command secondary school in Ibadan also  . The church headquarters was actually opposite their family house.I am very happy for you bro! You see some people that has never been to OAU or at one time or the other denied admission throwing the first stone. We are talking about OAU here and medicine for that matter. That was the conclusion of the analysis and it's such a great one from the provost. I saw the thread this morning and I knew there would be response (quick and articulate one) for that matter! See, let's learn to always know that although it's a faceless forum but we have people here. You can't be emotional about this. For the fact that you were denied admission does not translate to nepotism or the school being bias. The provost made mention of the merit, catchment and the educational less developed states: These are long time criteria for any reasonable federal institution in NIGERIA. I was denied admission then in OAU and then I tried again! Now it all a bye gone looking back after 5 years. My advice to the applicant(s); don't get carried away with the social media! You're too young for that. I became active on Nairaland after my first degree so you had better face your academics for now. Don't stop trying, I wish you the very best in your pursuit of a great and excellent career!!! 4 Likes |

And to think that Mama Taraba vying for governorship is sickening. How can someone like this ever deliver? Shittu that cannot manage a successful Law chamber a minister for communications? What is wrong with NIGERIA sef? How can the president be so naive and unrepentant for appointing such a set of dullards and incapable hands to make the country works? President Buhari sincerely is the problem of the country. His actions so far has not demonstrated of him being a patriot at all. Nepotism is the order of the day in his government and I hope he does something very fast before it would be too late for him himself.
