I was in JSS2 then and I could remember watching it on the news at night with my siblings. That was the year I decided to attend OAU for my university degree. Eventually I was later in OAU and got the full story and we do normally marked it every July 10 on campus. Some vital locations are named after "AFRICA" till date on campus. I could also remember I took a photograph at the same spot (Oranmiyan) pole with almost alike Ankara where the famous Afrika posed with his legendary Ankara. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
And my prayers are with his family always!

Politics / Saraki And The Apc/pmb by Tstone1(m): 5:53am On Jul 25, 2018
Let's relish some moment.

Ajere (forgive my failure to apply tonal marks) is a character put together in Yoruba mythology to personify immutability.

If you bend him, he won't break. If you break him, he comes back intact. If you lay siege in his house, you'll never meet him at home. If you poison his drink, the cup will break. If you 'slice' him into pieces, he is already at home taking lunch. If you boil him, he comes out raw. The moment he's physically caught, he disappears without delay. He's an alibi in himself. Even on the day he attempts suicide by plunging into the river, he lands in the fishing net. In short, he's mercurial.

Let's come to Saraki and the APC/PMB, Saraki is the Ajere of the contemporary political juggernaut. Of course I do not admire him and I have my grouse against his treacherous manner of ascending unto the Senate Presidency.

But this time I give it to him. He is the 'game'. He has scored four (4) unreplied goals against PMB/APC. If you know this, then you know.

Unfortunately, I am sad for our democracy. This circus is ridiculous and inauspicious. The bulwarks of our democratic institutions are being densely emasculated. No thanks to the power that be.

I am perturbed as to how difficult it now is to fetch out how this wrangling among the vultures will serve as recipe which will benefit the Nigerian populace.

Again, it's chiefly unfortunate.

Politics / Re: Kwankwaso In Ekiti State, Meets Fayose, Endorses Eleka For Governor by Tstone1(m): 9:10am On Jun 26, 2018
Politics is so funny a game.."No Permanent Enemy"
I could remember sometimes before the 2015 Presidential election when this Kwakwanso man lambasted Fayose live on the air calling him all sort of names. I guess he was bittered then with Goodluck Jonathan and PDP. Now he has realized his mistake and just have to correct it by coming to that same bold man called Fayose!

I am just awaiting to hear from Tambuwal and the likes of Saraki when the "GOT" 9ja version unveils in just a bit!

Introduce yourself/Can we meet you question!
Why should the company hire you for the role you applied for....etc
You will be given a guideline to follow.

Thanks brother.

The first stage is Logical reasoning
Second stage is Video assessment of your personality.
Third stage is Simulation assessment.
Fourth is Interview.

So if you were not called for a 2nd stage but applied for more than one position, it's an opportunity to start afresh.
Please what is the video assessment all about?

Oh boy, that test lasts for 1hr5mins and you must complete it whether your time elapse or not. The truth is the moment your time elapses, it starts deducting from your already accumulated marks.

I had just 300k in my account;home and abroad. One Sunday, I went to pick my girl for church from their house only to see her carrying water in her head, stood there n made calls so a borehole can be drilled the next day. Ended up spending all the money (300k)the next day for the drilling, tank stand and tank. 2 days later, my car engine knocked n she broke up with me.

But don't you think there are some instances which gives BBM advantage over whatsapp?
Phones / How Often Do You Use BBM Now? by Tstone1(m): 9:46am On Jun 24, 2017
BlackBerry Messenger, also known as BBM, is a proprietary Internet-based instant messenger and videotelephony application included on BlackBerry devices that allows messaging and voice calls between BlackBerry, iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile users. The consumer edition is currently developed by Emtek under license from BlackBerry Limited (formerly known as Research In Motion), and was first released in August 2005.[1]
I remembered when I had to sell a laptop some years back just to afford myself a blackberry phone. With latest options on social media people nowadays hardly open up the application on their device. I have some people that even had to delete it or never activate it on their device.
The question now is when last or how often do you use BBM knowing some other key benefits you can still get making it a preference over other means.

Education / Re: Riot By NASU Staff In FUOYE, Lecturers Brutally Beaten (Photos) by Tstone1(m): 9:03pm On Jun 09, 2017
All this semi-upgraded federal university sef!
I remember back in the day at OAU, NASUU does not need to write to ASUU to join them for protest or industrial actions. Naturally they NASUU would just cripple activities within and outside the campus now tell me which lecturer go teach when all the power supply and water has been cut off. Even students too would be forced to join them as the whole campus community will not be comfortable again for everyone including the VC.

ASUU sef don't need to write NASUU yo join them for theirs too as once students are not going for lectures and halls of residence will automatically turn to relaxation centres thereby forcing NASUU to quickly ask that lecturers demands should be met asap when we students are getting busy with cooking beans and disturbing the whole peace of the school.

Lest I forget even students also can go for their own lectures boycott which is a norm and once there's an issue the entire students want a quick solutions and interventions. Now, we also don't need to write either ASUU or NASUU to join us as they have no choice than to quickly ask the students' affairs to do something quick cos the tension would be very high everywhere!

There are only two institutions in Nigeria jare; OAU and others!!!

Of the Greatest IFE!!! grin
