Konquest: Well said.
They have to hit the ground running from this month and do that fast. Enough of the embarrassing inneficiences in the Nigerian ecosystem and especially the relentless killings of indigenous Nigerians by the foreign Fulani herders and bandits over the decades who are being protected for years now by their kinsmen in Nigeria from judicial prosecution. The case of Nasir El-Rufai's horrendous behavior as the Kaduna State Governor comes to mind when in a 2017 interview on Channels Television which is still on the Internet, he CLEARLY stated that he gave financial compensations to the foreign Fulani herders and militia from Cameroon who came right into Nigeria to kill indigenous Nigerians of Southern Kaduna area. He was able to trace them through the Miyetti Allah network (over 95% of Miyetti Allah members are foreign Fulanis not local ones because over 90% of cattle sold in Nigeria come from foreign Fulanis in Niger Republic, Mali, Guinea, Mauritania, etc).
Instead of using the Interpol to get them arrested to face justice, this Fulani man (who told Channels Television that his Fulani ancestor originally migrated from Guinea to Nigeria after the so-called Jihad) betrayed the people of Kaduna and Nigeria by fueling the herders and bandits crisis. Now Nasir is running around with his fellow Fula kinsmen (such as Atiku Abubakar of Fula Cameroon origin, the Baba Ahmeds who are originally from migrant Mauritania Fulani origin) leading a coalition to unseat Tinubu. They are desperate to gain political power back using the unsuspecting Peter Obi. Imagine the audacity! That is the complexity of the whole issue and you see that a bold president will still rely on a formidable home front to push genuine reform in a complex country such as Nigeria. This is where the issue of Igbo as a region comes in. ( apologies to a progressive Igbo who do not share the same mindset with indoctrinated ones who is ready to cut their nose to spite their face) To push reforms like this, the president needs one voice from the entire South for it to work. However, we have seen that the SE have always been antithetical to federalism and resource control despite the fact that many of them pay lip service to it. While Rivers state and Lagos state challenge the FG over vat matter same Igbo are the only region from the South who support the north. Again, we saw notable Igbo moniker here on Nairaland who vehemently opposed the tax bill reform. Yet a ranking Igbo legislator sponsored the bill to abolished State of Origin in place of State of Residence. Until the entire South unanimously agree on true federalism, the Fulani subjugation and conquering will continue to fester |

but this was tinubu "Putting the blame solely on the doorstep" of Jonathan.
are you saying that tinubu is myopic and lacks understanding of basic Nigeria structure?
why didnt tinubu tell his "elected legislature to pass law enacting state police law so the states can solely handle the security matters of his state" when jonathan was president?
how do the attachment below show that tinubu knows what he is doing? I don't owe you any reply. Ojukwu has answers to all your questions, go and ask him |

DarkJeddi: The same Tinubu that changed the National Anthem in a jiffy?
The same one that couldn't wait to proscribe fuel subsidy and Forex deregulation.
The same one that has been championing the Tax Reform Bill at a breakneck speed?
Suddenly he's just waken up to the necessity of State Police and the fact that the Legislature are the bottleneck?
He never ready. When he is, we'll know.. Executive order are different from Constitutional matter, presently, Security is solely in the Exclusive list which implies it's only the Federal government that has power to legislate over issue concerning security. It will take 2/3 of the Nass to pass and assented by the president before it can be altered. Presently the legislature has not done anything regarding that |

how do the attachment below show that tinubu knows what he is doing? Nothing stops you from telling your legislature to enact the law too. Stop asking questions like a kindergarten. On his part, Tinubu has directed the governors. To look at the issue of state police. Sponsor a private bill and tell your representative to push it in Nass. |

LadyExcellency: This list is a false stats because it doesn't represent the consumption trend in Nigeria. If VAT is a consumption tax then the derivatives should reflect where the consumption took place and not where the production occurred.
Production is only complete if it reaches the final consumer. Let’s stop these abracadabra statistics.
Let them release the stats on the N50 Electronic Stamp duty collected across the States as that will be more authentic. You just dey yarn smoke, sebi your region has the highest number of industries, are these industries not paying tax? |

This is a government that knows what it's doing but when you tell the Obidients children whose only occupation in life is to press their phone, they would start insulting you.
A lot cant see that it will take constitutional reform to improve the security architecture of the country and this is where majority of the works stops that the door steps of our legislature both at the federal and the state.
Putting the blame solely on the doorstep of Tinubu is being myopic and lacks understanding of basic Nigeria structure.
Tell your elected legislature to pass law enacting state police law so the states can solely handle the security matters of his state |

But today, you say Peter obi is the number 1 member and leader of LP and he must oversee all its activities and functions abi? 🤡 So the other members there were mannequins before he came to their party? 🤔
Why oh why do you yolo Muslims think this way ehn . . . Why? How did he get the party ticket. Ob bribed his way to become LP candidate only for hm to pocket all his campaign fund. Ordinary reconciliation meeting is too expensive for the stingy Obi to shoulder. |

Something your tilumbu is seriously lacking 😏 What Tinubu lacks, is Obi that get am? Just tell us you want your tribesman to be president and not based on merit. The Tinubu you discredited built his business TVC in Lagos but your Obi cannot situate his company in Anambra. That's the difference between competence and mediocre. A competent leader walks the talk but a failed leader cannot make reference to his good deed but to rely on Singapore, India and China as example of a country he want to build. |

During Obi era, the security challenge in Anambra was so tense that corp members was sternly warned no to go out alone and they should go out I the night
The villages in Oyi LG and other local government are always embroid in communal clashes with guns and matchete brandishing in broad day light.
It is hypocritical for Peter Obi who allowed these crises to fester will now be gaslighting all around about security situation in Nigeria. |

Penguin2: The news of the Federal Government proposing to build Bamboo Houses for the poor has been making rounds since yesterday through a statement reportedly made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
But I was thinking that by now the Federal Govt would have issued a system providing clarifications that maybe they didn’t mean Bamboo Houses in its literal sense, but nothing of such has happened which means they truly said and meant what was reported.
And I ask, shouldn’t we be ashamed that in the 21st century, our government is proposing to build bamboo houses for its citizens? Like seriously?
And the supporters of government are cheering that too. So that makes sense too?
Like, don’t you guys have a cut off mark below which you can no longer defend?
Have you all become so shameless? Get well bro. Even in US plank and plywood are still used to build house. And what's wrong with bamboo if it is designed with touch of modernisation and innovation |
