antontech:
Lagos is a product of more than 100 years in the making and THE FCT from 1960-1991, Anambra was only created in 1991.

no logical person will expect anambra to become like Lagos overnight or become like London in just 8years.

Before tinubu became the governor of lagos state, lagos was already considered one of the finest and richest cities in Africa even before tinubu became the governor.

(Lagos already had international economic boosting infrastructures like airports, seaports, major road networks, football stadiums and many others even before tinubu became the governor of lagos state). Lagos was actually the former FCT.

before OBI became the governor of Anambra state, Anambra never had things like an
-airport or seaport
Anambra never even had basic things like
- a teaching hospital
- not even a government secretariat, a government house or a government office,
( can you imagine that?)huh?
- not even a functioning government school
( the children has been home for two years without school in Anambra).
- Anambra was owing a pension debt of #35b
- Anambra had the worst security in Nigeria

that was the kind of state OBI inherited so we can not compare him with tinubu who inherited a state that was the former FCT, a lagos state that was already considered one of the finest and richest in Africa even before tinubu became the governor.

OBI transformed Anambra, OBI built
-The first teaching hospital
-The first government secretariat
-Save the money that was used to build the first airport in Anambra
- restored education in Anambra, taking it from number 26 to number one in Nigeria
- cleared the pension debt of #35b he inherited
- never owed any worker salary or pension as at the time he was living office
- Anambra was eventually declared the safest state in Nigeria during PETER OBI by the then inspector general of police .
- during PETER OBI Anambra was eventually declared the state with the highest road network by the federal ministry of works.
These are facts on groud.

With all that and many more ACHIEVEMENTS, OBI never borrowed.

Have you imagined what would have happened if OBI inherited a state like lagos as tinubu did?

OBI IS TRULY A GOLD
A vote for Obi will change Nigeria forever. Be on the right side of history.

copied.
You said Obi never borrowed but his successor said he left debt, Soludo the current governor also said all his investments in Anambra is next to nothing.

A lot of Igbo here on Nairaland openly criticised Obi government. The thread is still active.

That's why we are calling them to order, at least in Lagos they built light rail for us and SW is still relatively peaceful than other region, we should and complain and criticised when it gets to our doorstep that the reason why SW still serve as IDP camp to other regions.

Nigeria will be better if each region can accommodate and cater for its people and don't depend solely on the economic prosperity and peaceful atmosphere of a single region

Hard line Islam is the main cause of insecurity, not just in Nigeria but globally.

When Biden came in alot of Afghans were relocated into the US without proper vetting.Few days ago, one of them opened fire on soldiers. One special soldier, just twenty years old was fatally shot thereby killing her.Another, 24 years is in icu. Based on available report, it will take miracle for the second soldier to scale through. I'm tempted to say that the very oxygen Islam need to survive in any where in the world is violence. Without violence, that religion will naturally fissle out.But I won't say it.

Hard line Islam is fueling insecurity in Nigeria. When people are groomed from a very tender age to hate another who don't belief like they do, we already have a crisis at hand.

I'm assuming two things about the op: crass ignorance, or taqqiya!
I disagree with you.
Saudi practice Islam
Quatar and Dubai are Islamic countries but they are not backward like the model we have in Nigeria.

For example Islam in Saudi reject Gumi but Nigeria embraces him.

Other countrues seek foreign intervention in area they can defeat but our northern brothers reject foreign support, but same people don't reject foreign aides.

Understanding the north is like trying to read the writing of a cobweb. It makes no sense in many things they rationalize as normal. Worse, their elites support it.

This is not about Islam it is about some people belief, ideology and way of life

I think this should be directed at the northerners.

Anyone who have lived in the north will know that Nigeria is sitting on a drum of gun powerder.

This is something the culture and their elites approved. It is insane to see a governor doing mass wedding for his people,

In 30 years a person in the north can produce children that would make up a LG with the way they marry many wives and have many children.

This dicitomy in North vs South ideology over birth rate will create a disproportion in political arrangement in the next 20 years as the north will not need the vote of the South to become president.

This is unhealthy and dangerous to a united Nigeria, the better we restructure and embark on regional system the better for us.

This procreation ideology from one region will eventually spell doom for this country

My argument is that the money spent on that road should've been channeled to power generation, transmission and distribution.

Tinubu asked state governors to start taking care of those areas, but he didn't bother to check how many is investing in it. How much do states have to invest in power?

Those trillions he's wasting on that useless road should've formed a counterpart fund for states willing to invest in power. The FG pays 50% and has a 50% stake in power project proceeds, while states and private players will pay the 50% between them.

There can never be rapid growth without adequate power generation. In fact, tech cannot even thrive in an environment where there's no power.

Running a country isn't rocket science; we just have the dumbest of us leading us with their even dumber supporters hailing everything they do.
It is this type of post that provoke people to respond harshly, are you not leaving in Nigeria when states were legally given power to generate, transmit and distribute power?

If I state don't have enough funds what stops them from seeking private partnership?

I wonder why some people convinienty chose to support those who are not doing their duty.

Their lands are big, no doubt. The north understands politics on time and are way ahead of the south. Go to their LGA and see nothing is happening there. They're just collecting allocations and sharing. There are places in the north that don't even have a telephone network, no light, no roads and they still live in stone age.

And yet they call it a LG

They don't even come out for census, they just give you figures

The average childbirth by a northern woman is between 5-6, while southern woman is between 3-4. So, forget whatever the media is telling you
This has been captured in my first post but your hateful brother in their usual way attacked my post even when I didn't mentioned SE.

All these SE and SW online fight won't help anyone in face of a real threat that is looming to consume us all.

In 30 years, a northerner can birth a LG when an average Southerner still maintain moderate family.

What do you say to a culture where governor pay for marriage and even do mass marriage?

What becomes of Nigeria when these people equally mass procreate in 15years?

These are real danger that our regional leaders should begin to address.

A country where one region cherished life but the other despites it.

Nigeria need to begin to rethink how our unborn generation will be saved, we are currently living in a keg of gun powder.

Resource control can even be a starting point which can create healthy competition.

It is SE money.
Oil and gas money from the SE which you guys use your NNPCs suppressed data to downplay, while readying for war to stop the same SE from living Nigeria wuth their sicalled "bottle of oil".
Let's have an independent assessment of oil that comes from The SE, including from slant engineering...

SE businesses contribute the highest amounts of tariffs paid at your ports from where most of your non oil revenue that funds your budget, comes from. The SE accounts for over 70% of your port tariff earnings! That is earthshaking!

Go through your budget and see how much percentage of the budget depends totalky on incomes that come from the Custom Service. That is when you will know why your uncles at Abuja will rather be bombed by Donald Trump or leave the east to go..
Look I don't like engaging in all these childish discussion.

The jargon you wrote above remain a jargon without a variable data to support that your businesses contribute the largest tarriff.

It is a shame to think that other region will champion a cause you so much desire.

What stops your legislators from presenting a bill for referendum since outright call for session will amount to treason based on stand if Azikwe who vehemently opposed the decision clause in the constitution.

Why stop your leaders from asking for referendum that will eventually lead to removal of SE from Nigeria?

Do you want Adeola or Abdullahi to move such motion where Shukudi is seated?

Let me burst you, the highest chunk of import are industrial material and your people are only into trading, so don't come with lies you speak to yourself just to make yourself happy.

Sir I've been to all the northern states, they don't have population as they claim.

The states with highest population in north are Kano, Kaduna and most of the population there are people from the south that migrated there. In all mothers states, the population comes from sabon giri. You can go and do your findings.

Just like Abuja, the gbagyi people are almost nowhere. People from the south have taken over the land of Abuja
If they don't have the population doesn't mean they won't have the population, even with no population, they have highest number of LG, highest number of state and collect the highest allocation.

What if the now have the real population in 20 years time.

I've lived in the north the way they marry and give birth is genuinely scary, if you add it to their early marriage you will know that the population explosion thst will hit this country will create more chaos than what insecurity is presently causing
