Kano have more population and industries than Kaduna, yet Kaduna under Elrufai generate more tax revenue than Kano. Which indicates that the people of kaduan are tax compliant than kano. If Kaduna and Kano are to remit what they generate to fg for national sharing, Kano having more population and local government, Kano will have more share of the tax revenue than Kaduna due to his population and Local government quantity when the sharing is based on population.

Recalled that Elrufai as a governor praised Lagos and advocate that other state should follow Lagos model. And we can see the implementation of that in tax collection in Kaduna. So now will it be fair to the people of Kaduna that Kano get more than Kaduna when the sharing comes down to base on population.

Am against the tax reform bill too due to some reasons, but to say the FG is taking Northern wealth to the south or Lagos is one of the biggest propaganda, if you no the history of why the British amalgamate Nigeria.

Lord Lugard amalgamate Nigeria so that the excess wealth, revenue or budget surplus from the Southern protectorates could be use to subsidize (fund and make up ) the Northern protectorates which are behind economically and generate lower revenue (budget deficits). The fact that the north have always have more land and population and contribute "most time" less revenue to the national treasury. Shows that the point above is logically correct.

To form Nigeria the South is coming to the party with 2 bags of rice with a family of 50 while the north is coming with a bag of rice with a family of 100. It is clear from the get go the North with more family member will have more share of the 3 bags than South.

So the idea that Lagos was built with Nigeria common wealth when it contribute most to the common wealth as if other state are not built with Nigeria common wealth is a lie and propaganda.

He makes it look like Lagos generate more because only Lagos benefit from Nigeria common wealth . These is wrong because Osun State IGR double that of Kebbi but Kebbi received more allocation than Osun State in 2023 most likely because of Kebbi population
how is that fair to the people of Osun State.

Federal allocation is also Nigeria common wealth and most state in Nigeria especially the north contribute little to the common wealth thus they receive more than they contribute to the common wealth meaning most infrastructure in that state either by state or fg is build with Nigeria common wealth so the idea that Lagos was built with Nigeria common wealth as if other state were deprived is a big lie.
