Senior Nigerian clergy describes Jos violence against christians as pre-meditated (African Press Agency (APA)-Lagos (Nigeria)

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama on Sunday said, We were taken aback by the turn of events in Jos. We thought it was political, but from all indications it is not so."

He expressed surprised at the way some churches and property were attacked and some worshippers and clergy killed.
"The attacks were carefully planned and executed. The questions that bug our minds are why were churches and Clergy attacked and killed?" Rev. Kaigama wondered. , (APA 2008-11-30)

You cannot force your Islam on people and you cannot intimidate people through all these attacks. You will never Islamise Nigeria !!!

I don't think this one Nigeria will work. It is high time the country should be divided, so that peace can reign. haaaaaaa !!!

The muslims are the aggressors. they are forever blood thristy. I know this Sharia thing will cause a huge problem. Why a sharia law in a country that is secular ?.

The real question, why are the muslims so violent ? This is not the first time the Hausa Muslims are murdering people for no reason .

Look let me set the record straight before you. Nigeria problem is caused 80% by the Northern Muslims leaders who are visionless, stupid, brainless and who don't care about the country along with some stupid southern counterparts. 20 % is the mindset of Nigerians themselves. That is why I said I said we need a total change of mind, but if you look at it you will not blame Nigerians, suffering have afftected their sense of reasoning.

Nigeria is now labeled a “TERRORIST NATION” by the US state department. Thanks to Islam and Muttalabs.

For some years now, as a nation we were dealing with the battered image due to drug peddling, prostitution of young girls, 419, credit card forgery, human body parts trafficking and all sort of illegal and illicit ways of survival thanks to Ibrahim Babangida – aka IBB (A muslim of course!!!) .

During his 8 years rule 1985 – 1992, corruption rose to all time high and his governors and senior government officials looted the national treasury. His SAP agenda, which was later known as “Suffer and Perish” had such devastating effects on the economy and severe consequences on millions of Nigerians. IBB institutionalized 419, corruption at high levels and plundered the economy.

In fact the era of IBB led to the beginning of the moral decadence and purposeless society that we have today. The depth of corruption and social degradation led to moral decline, ethical and spiritual decadence at all levels in our society. His economic agenda destroyed the Naira and basically rubbished the Nigerian economy, which actually elevated greed, bribery, and corruption. Naira was devalued and a dollar could buy 100 Naira at that time.

The quest for dollar and foreign currency motivated many young Nigerian girls into lucrative prostitution overseas mostly in Italy , Holland , France , and Switzerland through an uncontrollable ring of organized prostitution of young Nigerian girls that were taken to overseas for such old fashion trade in the early 1980’s. His administration did absolutely nothing to stop such organized crime against the reproductive resources of our country. That era of unbridled greed and sexual pervasion led to social and moral decadence we see in our country today.

President Obasanjo first introduced the ranting to restore the battered image of Nigeria overseas thanks to the advice of leaders at the World Bank and IMF. Mr. Frank Nwaeke Jr. was appointed the information and communication minister and he became the beneficiary of such huge project to reclaim our lost glory and reposition Nigeria to be the “Heart” rather than the “Giant” of Africa . Billions of Naira was spent to clean Nigeria ’s image abroad

Religious extremisms were breeding at home. The Northern states are a breeding ground for religious extremism and Jihad. What have Yar'Adua done about it ?

Tafawa Balewa is useless because he did not achieve anything, Ibrahim Babangida and Abacha are the most corrupt, vicious, demonic leaders that Nigeria have ever produced. Yar'Adua the greatest sickler Nigeria have ever produced is completely useless. He never achieve anything. Every minute he is always in Saudi Arabia for medical treatment. Why can't he find a solution to the Nigeria health sector ? Why is he always running to Saudi Arabia ? Will a Saudi King come to Nigeria for medical treatment ? This is a shameful, despicable and rather disappointing.

Nigeria especially the Northern states are breeding ground for Jihad, religious extremism and international terrorism? I don't need to tell you why?

The reason why men and women in various position of leadership in Nigeria are just sissy, cowards and ignorant is because of Islam.

The history of the religious extremism that has been terrorizing Nigeria for the last forty years Islam.

There is no organisation in Nigeria today because of Islam. Where is the Vice President of Nigeria, since the President is currently bedridden in Saudi Arabian hospital? Where are the leaders of national security agencies? Where is the minister of Aviation, an industry that is comatose thanks to the pandemic corruption at the highest levels that put Nigerian Airways out of business? What steps are being taken to fully investigate the Mutallabs and actually figure out if these are truly Nigerian people or not? This country does not have leadership at all. What we have are ignorant, inept and bunch of cowards as leaders.


Religious ignorance, intolerance and violence have been one of the banes of our nation’s development. Religious conflict and violence have been a big problem in Nigeria and a major threat to the security, unity and national progress of Nigeria. Religious ignorance and intolerance breed violence. Religious violence has decimated more lives in Nigeria in the last 40 years than hunger, disease, and accidents combined together. Nigeria has been a battleground between Islam, Christianity and traditional religions. What have the so called Northern leaders done to resolve the issue ? They lack creative ideas on how to move Nigeria forward.

Since 1960, Nigeria has had some many incidents of religious extremism and Islamic fundamentalism in their attempt to Islamize the nation. We have had religious riots in Jos, Kano , Maiduguri , Kaduna , Sokoto, Bauchi and other major Northern regions in which thousands of Christians were killed, their businesses looted and their property worth billions of Naira destroyed. What have the so called Northern muslim leaders done about it ?

Many of us still have vivid memories of the dastardly and despicable rash of rampage and violence in the major cities of the Northern Nigeria being carried out by Islamic fanatics and fundamentalists.

In 2003 when Nigeria had a rare opportunity to host the Miss World contest, a young and talented journalist wrote an article jokingly saying that if Prophet Muhammad had been alive, he would have chosen one of the beauty queens as wife. The Moslem fanatics took that as an excuse to carry out their carnage on Christians in the Northern states especially of Igbo descent looting their business and destroying their properties. That ignorant and irrational rampage led to the loss of over a thousand precious lives and Nigeria missed the unique opportunity to showcase her to the world. The Miss World contest was moved to London , England , and Nigeria was denied the economic and business opportunity to attract foreign investors. Off-course the perpetrators of the heinous violence went scot-free. What was done about it ?

In 2004, not even a year later the Islamic religious extremists again went on another rampage in Jos and Kano over a controversial cartoon which was drawn by a Danish cartoonist and published in Denmark and other European countries that sparked peaceful protests in Iran , Turkey and other major Arabic countries. The cartoon in question was not drawn by a Nigerian or published in any Nigerian newspaper or magazine, yet the Nigerian Islamic adherents and fanatics jumped on that occasion to kill their Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria . Even the worst violent protests in the major Arabic nations did not claim but a few lives and injuries but in Nigeria hundreds of Christians were massacred; businesses and churches were burnt to ashes. Also this time, the perpetrators got away with it and justice was not meted. What was done about it ?


Even until today, we continue to read and witness these acts of rampage and atrocious extremism including the ongoing religious riots, vandalism and killings in Bauchi state between the Maitatsine, Boko-Haram and Kala-kato sects. These acts of vandalism, violence, and killings of fellow human beings compel one to question the teachings of Islamic faith and its adherents. Why such acts of violence in the name of Allah? The radical Islamic fundamentalists can go to any extreme to defend their questionable religious sect and beliefs. These acts do not portray the attitude and behavior of people who follow a true prophet and genuine religious leaders. What was done about it ?

You claim you are a muslim, but you don't know anything about the Quran. The person you call a prophet, does not possess any characteristics of a Prophet and as a result, he is not a prophet to start with.

The truth is bitter. If muslims are not violent, you will never see me in the muslim forum. How many people have the Islamist killed in Nigeria ? Just Monday and Tuesday, the Islamist have started with their blood letting rituals and you expect people to keep quiet eh ? Abuzola, if you like insult Christianity from now to the day you will die, no christian will attack you. If you like go to all churches in Nigeria and insult the name of Jesus, no christian will kill because of that, okay. That is the big difference between Christians and muslims.

Nigeria is what it is because of the northerners who are ruling the country and most if not all the northerners who are ruling the country are all muslims.

Islam is never the solution to the problem of Nigeria. The solution is a total revolution of mind, eradication of greed and corruption. We need a leader with an innovative mind and vision.

Jarus or whatever he is called should stop that rubbish. This forum is suppose to be free for everyone to express their opinion.

They are trying to stop us from criticising what the muslims are doing. The muslims are free to criticise what we are doing, so why can't we do the same. The muslims especially the ones in Northern Nigeria is the reason why Nigeria is backward ?

If muslims are not violent, no one will accuse them of that. The truth is Muslims are extremely violent. They love killing, slaying and butchering people under any slight provocation. They have no respect for the santity of human life. They have not contributed anything of value to Nigeria.

Locking and deleting post is not fair because Islam is exposed for what it really is. The truth is Islamic religion is an extremely violent religion. Islam have upgraded their status by producing a Nigerian suicide bomber who is not interested in justice in Nigeria but he is interested in justice in Afghanistan and Palestine (another man's land). Isn't it madness ?

Is it foolhardy for someone to be fighting for justice in Palestine and Afghanistan when there are lots of injustice in Nigeria ?

Islam is not a religion of peace. The origin of the violence, killings, slaying, butchering comes from the Quran. Islam is a religion that was born out of violence, killings, slaying and deception. Hausa muslims or no hausa muslims are all the same ten and ten pence.

That is a very good question. All human being are one and the same. I cannot understand why muslims find it very difficult to love people who are not muslims. Even muslims don't love themselves. Anyway Muhammed have command them to hate the christians and the Jews.

Arabs will never donate because the people affected are blacks. Arabs hate blacks with perfect hatred. Arabs don't like themselves so why will they like another race.
