Dshocker: Any car less than N5m na scrap you buy, and will suffer for it.
I suggest he uses it to secure a brand new car from Lagride, by paying around N1.8m as 10% deposit, then pay the remaining as he works. this is not true |

ReadaDream: If you are the type that accelerates gradually, allowing the car to gain momentum...then you have nothing to worry about. If you need instant power, switch to fuel..
Theres an obvious lag when going over a hill/bridge from total stop or after braking (gear is back to 1)..e.g Going over Ikoyi-link bridge from Gerrad/Bourdillon; the car will lag from the bridge accent... if you are going through from Admiralty, its seamless because you've already gained speed before crossing the tollgate.
I dont stress my engine, I know when to switch to fuel and back to cng... the process is seamless.
The issue most driver have is that, they dont want to use fuel again for any reason after they've converted to cng. Na their engine they suffer am. so if u are driving on CNG and u are approaching a hill u can’t switch to fuel automatically? Without shutting the car down |

Ktaophyc: That can either be a damaged vvt solenoid, vvt pressure sensor or wrong timing. what the best thing to do ? Cos I am just confused now |
Car Talk › Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by TUBLEZ(m): 2:54pm On Mar 26 |
Ktaophyc: Likely culprits:
1. Worn Valve Stem in Top Cylinder 2. Worn Piston rings in Bottom Cylinder 3. Faulty PCV system
For the first 2, the engine requires an overhaul.
Further physical checks required to ascertain. i hv ring the car and the engine sounds very cool now , but the car loose power sometimes while driving especially on hills and it will eventually goes off, after like 2 minutes it will starts again.. I run a scan and the only complain is showing is VVT Malfunction. |

Kumuyiii: I've started practicing this, sometimes i fit drive empty from eko hotel coastal to ajah, Jst to pick good trip... I'll rather drive empty than take 5k to ajah. But unfortunately, other transport unions get unity pass uber drivers. this is the issue with Uber drivers, if u don’t pick ridiculous price and 10 other next driver’s didn’t pick , passenger will be forced to increase the price but u see why it can’t work with Uber driver is that as uno pick next driver will pick it and it becomes a norm, na y some passengers go they tell u to pick 5 passengers and says na driver like u brought us and he no complain |

Dabadwela: Same thing dat happened to LNG and d buzz dat year. The future isn't CNG,dat's y it's not popular in world power countries.
Save money buy electric car, go electric car manufacturers moved from producing petrol cars to hybrid and electric cars , na for only truck hv seen factory fitted CNG, hv never heard of factory fitted CNG cars |

Kaymax2222: Also a clue for some people if you don't have too much money for the cng. You can look for some of this yellow buses that got it free of charge who wants to dekit their vehicle to sell it to you cheaply why would they want to dekit? 🤔 |

tojahh: The merits of CNG on this jobs can never be downplayed. I use a CNG installed Honda Accord 05, 2.4L and it's been 13 months and I can tell you for free (not free) that it's the best thing for me after drinking water.
I can't even remember when last I lament about price or what have you. Again, if you think protest will do the magic with these apps company I will tell you from experience protest has never helped drivers in this hustle. Since 2023 drivers has been calling for these protest but nothing to really show. I think the way forward is to take the agitations to these companies,. Ensure they don't operate while you protest, not the shambolic display of going to Alausa to dance and gyrate. I don’t really know what they have never taken any of this protest to Uber and bolt offices ? Why going to Alausa ? |

Pearl1910: The CNG will also go up. What happens then? The truth is Ehailing fares are too low. The App companies should realize this. There may be more trips but the overall take home is lower than if the fares Increase and d demand drops. Drivers still make more even with low patronage. So there is no reason to make fares this cheap even in the face of increased fuel price. Except that they want drivers to lock shop. This is d first time fuel will go up by double and prices will not change. It's crazy. The prices must go up. The barest minimum is that a 2.4litre petrol engine car must gross X4 his fuel money, When u deduct commission and fuel ur take home profit should be double ur fuel money. That's only when it makes economic sense. That way u can save for car maintenance. But currently u buy fuel of N30k and gross 60k after commission and fuel u are left with less than than half of the gross or nothing. Cos in some cases u use 10k fuel to complete a 10k trip. FUEL PRICE HAS DOUBLED, FARES MUST DOUBLE. There is no other way to say it. filling station now makes more money than driver, one guy on Twitter said he made 84K with 40K fuel before bolt commission, e be things , do you know the kind of energy he use in making 84K only to go home with less than 20K from 84k hard labour |

Jegheter: Bro I'm using a Rav with 2.5L omoh mehn no be small calculations.
If one cannot cng then getting a 3 cylinder car is priority for any seasoned driver
Cause mehn Iz crazy if person wan continue with this hustle na to consider change car ooo 🤔 because the comfort price gan na still rubbish |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by TUBLEZ(m): 10:35am On Mar 19 |
Jegheter: As in.
But let's be honest sha. This bizness even as it is presently is very profitable for 3 cylinder cars and 4 cylinder cars not beyond 1.8L. or electric or cng cars
It just affected the profit margin doesn't mean there isn't still profit.
You also can't blame the app companies cause dey won't take d drivers serious.
Noone is a fool. The people working know they are making profit and actually dey r omoh with my 2.4L engine na die ooo |
